1965 Plymouth Belvedere Ii- 2dr. Hardtop- Original- Look on 2040-cars

Year:1965 Mileage:60500
Location:

Scandia, Minnesota, United States

Scandia, Minnesota, United States

This is a beautiful original 1965 Plymouth Belvedere 2dr hardtop car with 60,500 original miles( previous owner gave me a document from a Iaaa Certified appraiser that the miles were correct. This car was bought 12 years ago from the second owner and has been under a car cover in a heated garage ever since. Five years ago the cover came off and $ 2,000.00 in brand new white letter tires and brand new Crager mags were put on it. They do not have a single mile on them When I bought the car from New York, I had to get a surety bond to have a new title made. The bond was for $17,850. because the Minnesota state appraiser  gave the car ( this is before  the new wheels and tires)  a value of $11,900.00( I have that document as well). The car was to be used by my dad, who passed away a couple years ago. Last week the family decided to sell it. New gas was put in and it fired up, and then idled down nicely. The tranny shifts well and the car was driven around the yard(no current insurance). The brakes are not working, don't know if its a master cylinder, or the brakes need to be bled, or what. I can drive it with the aid of the emergency brake.

This is an original 318 car. The interior is in fabulous condition, as is the floors, headliner, and carpet. I was told the car had had one repaint in its history. All lines are straight and trim id in great condition. Glass is in excellent condition. The car comes with its 4 original wheels and newer tires along with the wheels and tires on it now. This was bought to be converted into a Max Wedge or 440 car, but is way to nice as an original.  Door jams, floor pans, trunk deck are all in very nice condition. Remember this car is  in its original condition and is 49 years old. It is not perfect, but was very well cared for. With the car siting 3 years from the previous owner and my family having it under cover for the past 12 years , I don't know that I would take it on a cross country drive before its looked over and the brakes are checked.

I hope all this helps, feel free to contact me with any questions Its a nice original car, and we would like to see it go to a good home.Good luck bidding, and thanks for looking.  I will ask for a $500.00 -Non refunable paypal down payment at the end of the auction, with the balance in cash at pick up. I will ship if the buyer makes the arrangements or it can be picked up locally.  I accept paypal. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
