Clean 2007 Nissan Xterra S 2WD. Recently serviced and tires rotated. New tires put on last year, but only driven 5,000 miles since that time. Interior is spotless! No stains, tears, rips, etc. Exterior does have scratches, chips and a few dings, but nothing major. I like to call it a great 10 foot car. From ten feet, it looks brand new. Up close is when you can see the imperfections. There is nothing exterior wise that needs any body work though. Just minor paint issues. I'd rather be upfront about it rather than have someone be surprised and upset.  Also, the TPS sensor light is on. I had it checked out when I had it serviced and was told that the left rear sensor has gone bad. Was quoted $175 to replace it. Since it doesn't impact the day to day driving of the vehicle, I did not spend the money to replace it. Those are the only known issues I have noticed. It gets around 16-18 MPG in city driving and over 22 on the HWY.

$500 deposit due immediately via PayPal and balance due within 7 days either by certified check or cash in person. Transportation will be buyer responsibility but I will help anyway I can. I do have some contacts with a transport company if buyer needs a quote. Vehicle is being purchased "As-Is". Title is clear and in hand. Vehicle is listed for sale locally, so I have the right to end auction early if it sells before end of auction.

Watch BJ Baldwin jump a Nissan GT-R in his Monster trophy truck

Tue, 02 Apr 2013

There could hardly be two more disparate machines than a Nissan GT-R and BJ Baldwin's wicked trophy truck. While the supercar from Nissan needs no introduction, Baldwin's rig boasts 850 horsepower and an equally dizzying 34-inches of suspension travel. Monster Energy has taken it upon itself to throw those two together in a new short film that features Baldwin rescuing the female pilot of the GT-R by first jumping both her and her car in his desert bruiser. (Please keep the snickering to yourself until the conclusion of our program.)
The clip features plenty of shots of the truck bashing across the desert, slinging sand on scantily clad models and otherwise having a hell of a time. It's automotive porn of the highest caliber, though it stays safe for work. Click below to enjoy the show for yourself. Our only regret is that there's not enough engine noise to match the otherwise hot action.

37K miles in a 1967 Datsun Roadster

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

When we think of comfy, long-distance road cars, there are a few obvious choices. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Bentley Continental GT or, assuming fuel efficiency isn't paramount, a Range Rover are all good options for a road trip. But what if that road trip was 37,000 miles? Maybe something more reliable but still comfortable, then, like a Honda Accord. What about a 1967 Datsun Roadster?
As insane as it sounds, Scott Fisher is doing just that, running a Datsun 1600 Roadster across North America and racking up 13,500 miles in his first three months on the road. His total journey will see him pile over 37,000 miles on his red convertible. The car is lightly modified, but most of the work is for the sake of reliability and comfort, with a five-speed manual 'box, an upgraded radiator and electronic ignition.
Fisher's trip hasn't been all smooth, with a few typical bits of trouble. He also ran into some deer in Utah, quite literally, clipping one of the animals, which delivered quite a bit of damage to the passenger's front fender (hence the rear three-quarter view in our lead shot). Still, the car seems to be holding up well, as shown in this latest video from Petrolicious.

Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable

Sun, 10 Aug 2014

A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
