This is my daily driver and has been well maintained since I have owned it. There are new brakes and rotors on the rear of the vehicle. New tires all around and a recent PA inspection and emissions test. This has DVD players in the front and the rear. DVD in the front is bluetooth capable and can have navigation and a back up camera added. It is a Pioneer AVH-p3300bt that was recently installed. I also installed a secondary transmission cooler to prevent the problems that Nissan has been having with the radiators on numerous vehicles. The cooler has been installed as a precautionary measure and this vehicle DID NOT have any issues with the radiator prior to the installation. This completely eliminates the possibility of the antifreeze mixing with the transmission fluid and destroying the transmission.
Some of the features of this Xterra include side running boards, roof storage, towing package, abs brakes, anti-theft device, traction control system, rear window wiper, automatic windows and door locks with the auto express down window, dual air bags, cruise control, air conditioning, tire pressure monitor, door pockets, center console, privacy glass, power mirrors, and track system in the rear of the vehicle for tie downs and accessories. Please excuse the mud in the pictures it has been a wet year here. I will make sure the vehicle is clean at the time of pickup. Nissan unveils Altima-based V8 Supercars [w/videos]
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Good as it is, when we think about the Nissan Altima, the words "V8" or "supercar" are not in our vernacular, but Nissan Motorsports is looking to change all that. After unveiling the race version of its Altima sedan intended for the Australian V8 Supercars series back in October, the four race teams and their cars were revealed yesterday ahead of a preseason test session this weekend.
Two of the Altima racecars will be sponsored by Jack Daniels while the other two will wear Norton (as in Norton Anti-Virus) black-and-yellow livery. The season officially kicks off on March 1, and we'll get to see the V8-powered Altima on US soil from May 17-19 when the V8 Supercars series hits the new Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Nissan shows self-cleaning car coated in nano paint
Thu, 24 Apr 2014Washing the car is an activity like mowing the lawn that some people love and others find to be an absolute chore. For the latter group, Nissan may have an answer. Nissan is testing a nano-paint coating that could make the car wash a very infrequent place to visit.
Shown on a European Note hatchback, the key is a special layer of super-hydrophobic and oleophobic material called Ultra-Ever Dry that is sprayed over the paint. It creates a protective layer between the body and environment, and it means that when dirt or water come into contact with the car, the gunk just sheets away.
Nissan admits that the coating is still early in testing. The key will be if the stuff can actually last for the long term, and the company will be analyzing it over the coming months to see how it will react in different conditions. At the moment, the automaker has no plans to offer Ultra-Ever Dry as a standard feature, but it may make it available as an aftermarket addition in the future. Nissan design to show more Chinese influence
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Nissan is going to be leveraging the weight of the Chinese market by selling cars influenced by the People's Republic in other markets around the globe. The influence of Chinese design is further proof of the country's importance on a global scale. Nissan isn't the only manufacturer that's looking to leverage China's burgeoning design talent, as BMW, Volkswagen, and General Motors have all set up facilities.
In fact, VW and GM have both used Chinese talent to design cars, in the Passat and Buick LaCrosse, respectively. Nissan has already tested the waters with its Beijing studios, penning the Friend-Me Concept from this year's Shanghai Auto Show. Where GM and VW used their Shanghai-based studios as more consultancies than anything else, though, Nissan is aiming to have the Beijing studio design a global car.
According to Nissan's global design head, Shiro Nakamura, that's already happening. Nakamura told Reuters that Nissan is two years from launching a Chinese-designed global model that will see sales in both North America and Europe, in addition to its home market. While Nakamura wouldn't elaborate on what the new model's styling would entail, there's a focus on what the Chinese call daqi.
