Used 2004 Nissan Titan LE Crew Cab 4WD w/ Off-Road Package Included features:
I have owned this truck since June 2008. It was purchased from CarMax with 52,542 miles. I am only selling this truck because I recently received a promotion that entitled me to a company truck. I have only driven this truck twice since September 2013. I believe the time has come to let her go to an owner that can driver her a lot more often. I've only had two issues with this truck over the years: leaking front axle seals and clogged front catalytic converters. Both of these items are common to the 2004-06 Titans, and I had both of these issues professionally repaired. AFTERMARKET PARTS The exhaust has been completely re-modified with no factory exhaust parts remaining. Initially I just had a cat-back exhaust system with Flowmaster 40-series mufflers installed. A few years later, I had Stillen race headers installed instead of OEM headers when the converters started to fail. Afterwards an X-pipe was installed and the remaining 2 catalytic converters were deleted. All 4 oxygen sensors were replaced at 114,319 miles. NOTE: This exhaust is not street-legal! If you live in an area that requires a smog emission test yearly, I highly doubt that this truck will pass it. Also installed on this truck is a Volant Cold Air Intake system, a Top Gun Customz leveling kit, Bilstein 4600 shocks in the front, Bilstein 5100 shocks in the rear. I replaced the OEM coil springs with Moog coil springs when I changed out the shocks as well (created a softer ride). The motor oil, transmission fluid, and both differentials fluids have been replaced with Amsoil premium fluids. The third brake light has been tinted black. The windows have been tinted as well (I do not know what percentage the windows are because I purchased the truck with the tint, but the tint appears to be of legal darkness). The spark plugs were replaced at 103,552 miles with the OEM-recommend NGK plugs. Cabin filter has been replaced on a yearly basis. Front suspension was aligned yearly. I utilized Lucas Oil injector cleaner every 3,000 miles. The tires are Nitto Terra Grapplers. Also included is a Kobalt 2500 series truck bed tool box w/ keys. The front brake pads were installed at 113,234 miles. Universal joint was replaced at 97,751 miles. The current battery was installed on November 8, 2009 at 79,175 miles. What this truck needs While I have attempted to baby this truck ever since I bought it, there are a few things this truck could use: The tires have about 42,000 miles on them--they will need to replaced soon (I had initially planned on replacing them when they hit 50,000 miles). There are a few small dings on the body (nothing major, but annoying to me). The paint is in good shape for its age, but really needs a professional wax & polish job to make her pop again. The plastic windshield cowl is sun faded. The leather on the driver's seat is no longer beautiful. The driver side headlight's blinker has a blister on it from using an incorrect sized bulb. I believe my starting price will reflect the needs of this truck. In all honesty, I don't really have the spare time or desire to repair the aforementioned problems. I really hate to see her go, but realistically I have no need for a 2nd vehicle. |

Nissan Pathfinder, Infiniti JX in transmission safety probe
Thu, 05 Sep 2013Nissan may be forced to recall 110,000 Pathfinder and Infiniti JX35 crossovers, due to a number of customer complaints. Consumers report suddenly losing power, with repair facilities blaming the issue on faulty transmission cooler line connections. Both the Pathfinder and JX35 use a continuously variable transmission. As of right now, the only vehicles being investigated are from model year 2013.
Nissan has been cooperating with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, according to a report from Reuters, and it has developed a fix for the affected vehicles. It's not clear whether this will develop into a full-blown recall, as there have been no known cases of injuries or crashes. But with a potential 110,000 vehicles prone to sudden power loss, a recall seems to be a likely outcome.
Renault's planned luxury sub-brand gets reconsidered
Fri, 29 Mar 2013Renault believes there's enough Alpine love to restart that brand with its own model almost immediately. The launch of the Initiale Paris luxury brand it's been mulling, on the other hand, will be more restrained: a report in Autocar says that instead of launching with a first model based on the Mercedes E-Class architecture, Renault is going to introduce an Initiale Paris trim line on the new Clio and Espace. More accurately, that should be 're-introduce and aggressively market,' since Renault has used an Initiale Paris trim over the years since it introduced the concept car (pictured) in 1995, even as recently as the current-generation Laguna Coupe.
Other models will be added after the Clio and Espace, and when Renault can assess what kind of future the trim has, it will decide on the launch of a subsidiary brand. Company CEO Carlos Tavares said we shouldn't hang around waiting for a decision, though, declaring that establishing such a brand - if it even comes to that - "will be a job for at least my successor to worry about, not me."
Ghosn took bullet train to Osaka en route to Lebanon
Mon, Jan 6 2020Japan Justice Minister Masako Mori speaks during a press conference about Carlos Ghosn's escape from Japan. / Getty TOKYO — Former Nissan and Renault boss Carlos Ghosn began his astonishing escape from Japan with a bullet train ride from Tokyo to Osaka, possibly accompanied by several people, Japanese news agency Kyodo reported Monday. Japanese authorities also said on Monday they may still press for Ghosn's extradition from Lebanon to face multiple charges of financial wrongdoing, even though the country does not normally extradite its nationals. Security cameras captured Ghosn leaving his home on Dec. 29 at about 2:30 p.m. (0530 GMT) and arriving some hours later at Tokyo's Shinagawa Station, where he took the train 300 miles to Shin Osaka Station, Kyodo said, citing a person familiar with the matter. The international fugitive then went by car to a hotel near Osaka's Kansai International Airport, where he boarded a private jet at 11:10 p.m., according to the media report. Ghosn was forbidden from leaving Japan while awaiting trial on charges of financial misconduct, which he has denied, but he fled at the end of 2019 to escape what he called a "rigged" justice system. Prosecutors are now working with police to piece together Ghosn's route and find out who helped him, Kyodo said. In the government's first briefing since Ghosn skipped bail, Justice Minister Masako Mori said on Monday that as a general principle, Tokyo could request the extradition of a suspect from a country with which it has no formal extradition agreement. Such a request would need to be carefully examined based on the possibility of "guaranteeing reciprocity and the domestic law of the partner country," Mori told reporters in Tokyo. Â Arrest warrant Mori did not say what would guarantee reciprocity (the idea that benefits or penalties extended by one country to citizens of another should be reciprocated). She also did not say if there were any Lebanese nationals in Japan wanted in Lebanon. Mori offered little insight into the events of Ghosn's escape to his ancestral home, repeatedly saying she could not comment on specifics because of an ongoing investigation. Japanese officials broke days of silence about the Ghosn case on Sunday, saying they would tighten immigration measures and investigate his escape thoroughly. The authorities have also issued an international notice for his arrest.
