General & Terms I feel I have posted enough details and pictures to help you make an informed purchase. If for any reason you want additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me. I understand the implications of purchasing a used vehicle and feel this Murano will last you years on end with little to no attention to anything other than the typical maintenance items such as oil, brakes, etc. Drive and go. It truly is a pleasure to drive. Tight steering and handling plus the added horsepower throughout the power band make any drive very satisfying. I am selling this vehicle because I want a full size pick up as I do a lot of side work which requires bed space. There is no spare tire included in this auction. Random items such as extra oil filters, the old OEM radio, and OEM HVAC/radio interface are included. I always kept many spare items on hand as I was meticulous regarding maintenance as you can tell. This car drives better than new and basically all of the wear items were replaced. You’re pretty much getting a new Murano. Please note there is a lien on the vehicle. The selling cost will cover what is owed so once I receive payment I will forward to Capital One who will issue the title to me. At that point I will immediately sign it over to you. The whole process takes a day or two. I just want to make you aware that once payment is made you can pick up the car or have it shipped within a few days. Any questions please send me a note or ask for my number to discuss. I will gladly accept a cashiers check or cash if you are local. No Paypal deposit required. You are required to contact me or provide a number within 2 business days of auction end so we can facilitate the transaction. Thanks for looking! |

Nissan Safari police truck a sort of A-Team van from Japan
Wed, 28 May 2014Television today might be at one the best points in the medium's history with shows like Mad Men, Louie, True Detective and streaming offerings like House of Cards. However, none of those come close to the number of car chases and explosions of '70s and '80s offerings like Charlie's Angels, The A-Team or The Dukes of Hazard. Apparently, this prevalence of action at the time wasn't just an American phenomenon. In Japan, a show called Seibu Keisatsu fulfilled the nation's need for shootouts and stunts.
Nissan was a major sponsor of the show, and therefore the brand's vehicles were used extensively, including a highly modified Nissan Safari SUV (also known as the Nissan Patrol), pictured above. In the show's lore, it was equipped with radar, a camera and a fire extinguisher capable of turning over a car. The series ran 236 episodes from 1979 to 1984, and with the trailer below as indication, that allowed time for plenty of car jumps and explosions.
The entire Seibu Keisatsu series is now coming out in Japan on DVD and Blu-Ray packed in a fake gun case. The trailer below shows off some of the action of the series. It all starts out normal enough, but about a minute into the video there are all sorts of Nissans jumping and crashing. Plus, there is a guy on fire in a shootout. This show looks like some seriously cheesy fun. Scroll down to get a taste of it.
Bret Michaels Poisons Nissan's commercial trucking ops
Thu, 31 Jul 2014Mötley Crüe isn't the only 1980s hair-metal band getting into the world of auto promotion. Poison frontman and reality show star Bret Michaels is following their lead and doing some advertising of his own. Where the Crüe have been all over the airwaves in recent years with a Super Bowl ad for Kia and music licensing with Dodge, Michaels has taken a very different route by becoming the pitchman for Nissan Commercial Vehicles.
The videos run the gamut to advertise predominantly the NV line of full-size vans, but the NV200 shows up a few times too. The star of this new campaign is Michaels' full-length music video (above) for the song Tough Love. It's basically a parody of all of those '80s rock ballads where the bands would slow the tempo down a little and reveal their softer side. Michaels rocks out at the Nissan proving grounds in Stanfield, AZ, while showing off the evaluation process and strutting around like a proper rock frontman. There are also a bunch of shorter videos (below) with the singer highlighting each part of the vans' torture testing. Although, the dialogue in these come off a bit more stilted. With these '80s metal bands getting into advertising, can it be long before Warrant is shilling for Fiat or Ratt for Mazda?
2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo
Tue, 22 Oct 2013Michigan is one of those places where we can sub-divide the seasons into good and bad portions, with each producing a noticeable shift. The week prior to my time in the 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo, it was 65 to 70 degrees and sunny, all week long. Anyone care to guess what the following week was like?
Windy, cold and damp weather typified my week in the Z, with temps hovering around 55 degrees and several days of showers. Yes, I got the first week of the bad part of fall. The Z was hardly happy during its time with me, but we both persevered, and I made a point of sprinting out to the garage anytime the ground seemed remotely dry enough to test this striking two-seater. That enthusiasm waned quickly, though, as the week wore on.
By all accounts, the Z is a car that I should like. It's an uncompromising sports car, but as I discovered during my travels, sometimes a little compromise is welcome, and living with a car like the Z - particularly the angrier, Nismo-tuned model - quickly becomes a case of too much of a good thing.
