This car is being re-listed due to the winning bidder not getting in contact with me.

NOTE: IF YOU HAVE 0 FEEDBACK PLEASE CONTACT SELLER BEFORE BIDDING.

THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION.

Here we have up for auction a 2003 Nissan Maxima SE 6-Speed manual. This car runs decent and shifts well through all of its six gears. It does have a misfire on cylinder 3 that is pending on the OBD2 scanner.

The exterior of the car is in good condition, with some minor dents shown in the pictures, as well as some scuffs and dings around. Overall, the condition is very good for a car with this kind of mileage.

The interior is in very good condition with very mild wear; definitely above average for its year.

All electronics work fine (power windows, power door locks, moon roof, stereo). The air conditioning is ice cold.

Wheels are in good condition. Front tires are about 20%; rear tires are about 40%.

This car does need two front catalytic converters that are broken on the inside; they are making noise and need to be replaced. This car also needs a left ABS wheel sensor and a crash sensor for the airbag system. In addition, the vehicle has a cracked windshield, which needs to be replaced. The car also needs to have the rotors resurfaced.

This Maxima definitely does need some TLC but when all fixed will be a very nice car.

This car is being sold as is, wear is. Any questions, please feel free to call 914-490-6037 and ask for Scott.

NOTE: Winner of auction is responsible for pick-up and/or shipping of vehicle.

Payment: a $500 deposit through PayPal is required within 48 hours of end of auction.

Nissan Pathfinder, Infiniti JX in transmission safety probe

Thu, 05 Sep 2013

Nissan may be forced to recall 110,000 Pathfinder and Infiniti JX35 crossovers, due to a number of customer complaints. Consumers report suddenly losing power, with repair facilities blaming the issue on faulty transmission cooler line connections. Both the Pathfinder and JX35 use a continuously variable transmission. As of right now, the only vehicles being investigated are from model year 2013.
Nissan has been cooperating with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, according to a report from Reuters, and it has developed a fix for the affected vehicles. It's not clear whether this will develop into a full-blown recall, as there have been no known cases of injuries or crashes. But with a potential 110,000 vehicles prone to sudden power loss, a recall seems to be a likely outcome.

Asking price for Paul Walker's GT-R from Fast & Furious nearly triples [w/video]

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

The German owner of the only Nissan Skyline GT-R to survive filming Fast & Furious (a.k.a., The Fast and the Furious 4) has put his car up for sale following the death of Paul Walker, Yahoo Autos reports. The original sale price was reportedly an already hefty 300,000 euros ($412,110), but it has since been raised to 1,000,000 euros ($1.37 million).
Despite many well-intentioned efforts, the Skyline GT-R was (and still is) illegal to import for street use in the US, so this R34-generation GT-R and seven others were shipped here without engines and classified as kit cars to sidestep federal law. Once here, the engines were installed, and seven street-legal GT-Rs proceeded to be destroyed during the filming of F&F. But one car, the "hero" car for sale here, was driven by Walker in non-violent scenes and thus is the only GT-R that survived filming.
Then, in July 2009, the federal government cracked down on importers of these cars, seizing almost 50 GT-Rs, including this one, telling owners to export them or risk having them destroyed. The hero GT-R was therefore exported, and its whereabouts have been unknown until recently, when the current German owner allowed it to be featured in a review (watch the German-language video below). You can see the online ad (also German) of the heavily modified GT-R here, where it sits proudly with its sky-high price tag.

Nissan reveals the face of the new Qashqai

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Last week Nissan revealed the first teaser image previewing its upcoming new Qashqai. That one was wearing a big sheet and showed us little other than its basic shape and a few highlighted details, but now the Japanese automaker has released the first undisguised-ish image of the new European-market crossover.
From the image above we can tell the new Qashqai will carry the familiar face of Nissan's latest crossovers well, with the U-shaped grille and angular LED accents in the headlamp clusters. The sharp creases in the hood also make it stand out as quintessentially Japanese, particularly in a crossover market where they can all start to look the same.
We'll have to wait just a few more days to see the full thing, with the reveal set for November 7, but Nissan also released a tidy infographic showing just how successful the outgoing Qashqai has been for it in the European market. Check it out below.
