2001 Nissan Maxima Se 20th Anniversary Edition Sedan 4-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Woodstock, Georgia, United States
Hey all, this bid is for a 2001 Nissan Maxima. I am the second owner, I purchased from a good friend and we both spared no expense in maintaining the car. It has not been driven daily for about 1.5 yrs.. now but I take around the block almost weekly. My girlfriend wants it out of the garage otherwise I wouldn't sell it. The car or the girl... lol.
The car leaks power steering fluid and needs to be filled about every five days. I have the high pressure hose to repair it, just have been too busy. An average person could replace the hose in a couple of hours. The check engine light is on, but the car purrs perfectly. Also when I was cleaning it up I took the passenger seat out and the air bag light started to blink. Nissan has a recall on this and will fix it for free. As you can see, there is a dent in the bumper, but hey, I live in Atlanta most cars have a dent! Last thing the drivers door is wrinkled, but it's hard to notice. Now for the positive aspects. The car is extremely fast. An injen air intake has been installed, along with a racing clutch ($810.00 for the clutch). I outran my employees s2000, he wasn't very happy about that. The brakes were recently replaced before I purchased my new car. They are high performance as well along with slotted discs. The battery is new, new alternator and starter as well. The tires have about 30k left along with lifetime rotation and balance from NTB.The O2 sensors have been replaced, the idle speed actuator replaced, and the idle air control valve. The A/C is cold and the oil changed every 3k or less. The dealer said it has another 100k in the motor. Oh, the stereo is a DVD player and has been set up to play even when the car is in motion. Boston Acoustics components, they sound really good. Good luck, if you have any questions, please e-mail me. |

Interest in an Infiniti EV is muted, to say the least
Sat, Oct 10 2015More than a quarter-million people have bought an electric vehicle from the Renault-Nissan Alliance. When it comes to Nissan's Infiniti luxury nameplate, though, there's not a lot of confidence. The Alliance doesn't have much hope that the badge will add to that total anytime soon. So says Emirates 24/7 in its report that Infiniti is planning on opening two showrooms in Abu Dhabi. Models such as the QX80 SUV, the Q70 sedan, and the Q50 will be shown off to those looking to live the high life, Infiniti style. But company executives told the publication that no battery-electric Infiniti models would be in the works until at least the end of the decade? The reason? Lack of demand. It's a far cry from three years ago, when a concept version of the Infiniti LE electric vehicle was shown off at the New York Auto Show. The model boasted 134 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque as well as wireless-charging capabilities. It was about the size of the Infiniti G sedan. At the time, the automaker's executives were estimating that car would hit the market by 2014. Those plans didn't come to fruition, obviously. As for the Alliance, Renault and Nissan celebrated the sale of their 250,000th electric vehicle this past summer. And while the lion's share of those were in the form of the Nissan Leaf, the 250,000th vehicle was actually a Renault Zoe that was bought by a computer engineer in Bordeaux, France. That's a long way from the UAE, and a long way from an Infiniti EV.
Nissan's Taxi of Tomorrow shut down by NYC courts [UPDATE]
Tue, 08 Oct 2013Justice Schlomo Hagler may have just put a big dent in Nissan's plans to rule New York City's taxi fleets and outgoing Mayor Mike Bloomberg's vision of a unified fleet of yellow cabs.
As an October 28 deadline approached that would see all current, non-hybrid taxis replaced over by the Nissan NV200 over a three-to-five-year span, the legal battle that's enveloped the Taxi of Tomorrow program from the start has intensified. In a lawsuit, the Greater New York Taxi Association claims New York's Taxi and Limousine Commission overstepped its powers in mandating that taxi fleets are refitted with the NV200, according to the New York Daily News. This isn't the first time the courts have sided with the cabbies in the ToT debate.
Justice Hagler agreed with the cabbies, striking down the Taxi of Tomorrow purchasing requirements, and saying, "Simply stated, the power to contract and compel medallion owners to purchase the Nissan NV200 from Nissan for ten years does not exist in the City Charter," according to The Wall Street Journal.
The Carlos and Dieter Show promises more collaboration
Fri, 03 Oct 2014Daimler and Renault-Nissan said Friday the automakers have expanded their four-year-old alliance to include putting a Renault diesel in the Mercedes C-Class, a Mercedes gasoline engine in an Infiniti and possibly will involve automated driving technologies in the near future. At a joint Paris Motor Show press conference dubbed 'The Carlos and Dieter Show' by European media, Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn and Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche said the alliance between the automakers is running strong and will expand into any area that makes financial sense for both companies.
Ghosn and Zetsche said the alliance between the automakers is running strong and will expand into any area that makes financial sense for both companies.
Daimler and Renault-Nissan began their partnership in 2010 with plans to collaborate on three projects. They've since expanded that and are working on 12 projects together, including building a joint plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Renault-Nissan and Daimler are launching their first vehicles developed together from scratch: the Renault Twingo (which went on sale in September) and the new Smart Fortwo and Smart Forfour, which go on sale in November.
