2014 Nissan GTR Premium Edition.
This car still has the remaining factory warranty. Just to start Id like to let know that I take great pride in taking very well care of my cars. I keep them all serviced regularly and in like new condition as you can see from the pictures. This car has never been driven in the rain nor has it been raced at a race track. I had this car built to suit my personal interest and use. I mainly just enjoy cruise in's and trips to the mountains with my friends and there sports cars.
In building this car I wanted to go with a complete proven package rather than piece one together. After research I chose to go with Alpha Motorsports products. The first package I chose was the Alpha 7. This consist of Alpha's cold air intakes, front mount intercooler, larger fuel injectors, 90mm downpipes, and a HKS resonated midpipe and exhaust system. This was all tuned using 93 octane pump gas, on a Dyno Jet all wheel drive dyno, with a Cobb Accessport.
For cosmetics all I have done is change the wheels and tires. The wheels are ADV1's, fronts are 20x10 and the rears are 20x12. The actual wheel design is ADV05 MV.1 CS. It is a light weight one piece competition series wheel finished in polished gunmetal. I fitted the wheels with Michelin pilot supersport tires. The fronts are 285's and the rears are 335's.
I decided that I wanted a little more power so I had an Alpha 9 bolt on turbo upgrade package installed. This included a set of Alpha 9 turbos, Alpha's full induction intercooler piping kit, and larger 450 lph fuel pumps. The car was then retuned on the same all wheel drive dyno using 93 octane pump gas. Together this package produced 731 wheel horsepower and 590 wheel torque.
This car makes great power and is really exciting to drive. With the bigger turbo's the car still drives like the day it was new, and has always been very dependable with no issue's.

New Nissan Nismo model coming to Chicago
Wed, Feb 4 2015Nismo has been steadily growing from a niche label for JDM aficionados to a bona fide performance sub-brand for Nissan. And it will grow by one more model next week when the doors open at the Chicago Auto Show. Nissan hasn't revealed exactly what it has in store just yet, but whatever it is, it'll be an all-new model we haven't seen before. The Datsun performance studio has already given us amped-up versions of the Juke, 370Z and GT-R, offers several more versions in markets overseas and has displayed concept versions of other Nissan models as well. We're hoping that whatever Nismo has lined up for Chicago will be ready for production and available Stateside, but we'll have to wait a little while longer to say for sure.
Japanese automakers ramping production for renewed American sales
Wed, 21 Nov 2012The 2011 earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan took quite the toll on the automotive industry in that nation. Not content to lean on that tragedy as excuse for slagging sales, the Japanese automakers are planning on a major production expansion in North America. The aim is to reclaim the market share lost from the Tsunami-based dip, and overcome a dollar/yen exchange rate that makes exporting to America unprofitable.
Following the Tsunami, Japanese automakers ramped up production in their North American facilities to compensate, but according to Automotive News, Nissan, Honda and others have all reported plans for still-further increased production in the year ahead. As part of this ramp-up, Mazda will open a facility in Salamnca, Mexico before March of 2014. Part of that increase in output is 50,000 units of a Toyota-badged compact car, which Mazda will produce.
Other Mexican production facilities opening include a Honda plant, which will open in Spring 2014 in Celaya, and a Nissan plant, set to open later this year in Aguascalientes. Nissan also said that it will need another plant in North America within the next five years. According to Nissan Boss Carlos Ghosn, the company aims to raise its stake in the US market from 8 percent to 10, and adding production will help achieve that goal. Even Mitsubishi is aiming to boost production at its Normal, Illinois plant. Production of the Outlander Sport is currently at 50,000, which Mitsubishi wants to raise to 70,000.
Renault-Nissan debuts new Common Module Family for future vehicles
Thu, 20 Jun 2013Platform sharing is nothing new for the 14-year-old Renault-Nissan Alliance, but this partnership is set to introduce new modular platform components that will eventually underpin 11 Renault models and three Nissan vehicles by 2020. Rather than being a typical platform, the Common Module Family (CMF) actually represents five segments of a platform that can be used in various applications, and one of the first vehicles to use this architecture will be the 2014 Nissan Rogue (spy shots of which are shown below) when it arrives "in late 2013."
As pictured in the image above (click to expand), CMF is composed of four chassis component, principally the front underbody, rear underbody, engine bay and cockpit as well as a common electrical system. Besides the next-gen Rogue, future Nissan models to share CMF will include the Qashqai and X-Trail, while Renault models will start using the platform next year on vehicles including the Scénic and Laguna. The CMF architecture is expected to help the Alliance reduce the parts cost of a vehicle by up to 30 percent and reduce the entry cost by up to 40 percent. The official press release with more details about CMF, and what it means for Renault-Nissan, is posted below.
