2009 Nissan Gt-r Premium - One Owner - Garage Kept - Clear Bra - Never Tracked on 2040-cars
Austin, Texas, United States
|
You are looking at a beautiful 2009 Nissan GT-R Premium. It was purchased new in Killeen, TX by a local Austin resident. They had a clear bra put over the whole front fascia, mirrors, and behind the wheels to protect the Super Silver paint (a $3,000 option). This GT-R is as clean as they come (and with only 6,898 miles, it should be). The black leather interior is as-new too. This GT-R was driven on a regular basis (not put in storage) and it enjoyed the luxury of being garaged when it was not out enjoying the road. It has NOT been tracked. The owner sold it only because he preferred the German feel in his cars (his other vehicles are German). He traded it in towards an Audi R8.
It does come with all the options -- Premium Package ($2,240), navigation, Bose premium audio (with 2 subwoofers), side curtain airbags (yes, this was an option on the GT-R), power heated seats, carpet floor mats (with the GT-R logo - $200) and nitrogen-filled Bridgestone high performance summer run-flat tires. This GT-R has a clean AutoCheck Report and shows no evidence of any paintwork or bodywork. It was never smoked in and it still smells like a new car. The tires are in excellent condition and have lots of life left in them. This GT-R comes with both smart keys and all the books/manuals. It comes with the remainder of the factory warranty -- a 5 year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty (from its original purchase date and 0 miles). There were two aftermarket modifications to this GT-R: it was wired for a Valentine 1 radar detector (there is a plug that comes out behind the mirror) and an aftermarket mid pipe (the part between the catalytic converters and the muffler) was installed to give it a throatier sound. It still (and always has) had the original factory catalytic converters and mufflers installed. As with any used car it may have a minor defect or two, but none are apparent as I inspect the car inside and out. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions! Have a wonderful day! Here’s the not-so-fun but necessary stuff to make sure all the terms of the auction are clearly understood: We will gladly pick you up at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) free of charge, at a pre-arranged mutually agreed-upon time. Our office is located only a few minutes away. All sales are subject to a 0.1985% Texas Vehicle Inventory Tax (VIT) and a $5.00 buyer’s tag fee (for your temporary license plate) even if you plan to register the vehicle out of Texas or export it out of the USA. For example, a $10,000 purchase results in a $19.85 VIT. If you are registering the vehicle in Texas, you will also be required to pay 6.25% sales tax and $97.25 for title and registration. A $50 per day storage fee will apply should you choose to leave it longer than 17 calendar days without making arrangements prior to bidding. We also expect our customers to use this philosophy in their dealings with us. We will gladly work with you around scheduling or payment terms if you contact us prior to placing your bid. Please check our feedback and bid with confidence! Good luck and happy bidding! |

Nissan to add Rogue, Murano hybrid around 2015
Sun, 25 Aug 2013Except for the limited-production, Toyota-assisted Altima Hybrid, Nissan has pretty much shied away from hybrid vehicles, but that is all about to change. As a part of a plan to launch a total of 15 electrified vehicles by 2016, Nissan is launching the Pathfinder Hybrid, which goes on sale this fall, and we've heard in the past that the Altima will get another hybrid variant, as well. Now, Green Car Reports is confirming that the Murano and the smaller Rogue (seen above in next-gen prototype phase) will both receive hybrid powertrains.
Though riding on different platforms, both hybrid crossovers could share the system being introduced in the Pathfinder, consisting of a 2.5-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine, a 22-horsepower electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. There is still no word on when the next-gen Murano will arrive, but the 2014 Nissan Rogue will be introduced on September 10.
DC fast charging not as damaging to EV batteries as expected
Mon, Mar 17 2014As convenient as DC fast charging is, there have been lots of warnings that repeated dumping of so many electrons into an electric vehicle's battery pack in such a short time would reduce the battery's life. While everyone agrees that DC fast charging does have some effect on battery life, it may not be as bad as previously expected. Over on SimanaitisSays, Dennis Simanaitis, writes about a recent presentation by Matt Shirk of the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) called DC Fast, Wireless, And Conductive Charging Evaluation Projects (PDF) that describes an ongoing test of four 2012 Nissan Leaf EVs that are being charged in two pairs of two. One pair only recharges from 50-kW DC fast chargers, which the other two sip from 3.3-kW Level 2 chargers exclusively. Otherwise, the cars are operated pretty much the same: climate is automatically set to 72 degrees, are driven on public roads around Phoenix, AZ and have the same set of dedicated drivers is rotated through the four cars. "Degradation depends more on the miles traveled than on the nature of recharging." What's most interesting are the charts on page seven of Shirk's presentation (click the image above to enlarge), which show the energy capacity of each of the four vehicles. When they were new, the four batteries were each tested to measure their energy capacity and given a 0 capacity loss baseline. They were then tested at 10,000, 20,000, 30,000 and 40,000 miles, and at each point, the DC-only EVs had roughly the same amount of battery loss as the Level 2 test subjects. The DC cars did lose a bit more at each test, but only around a 25-percent overall loss after 40k, compared to 23 percent for the Level 2 cars. Simanaitis' takeaway is that, "INL data suggest that the amount of degradation depends more on the miles traveled than on the nature of recharging." The tests are part of the INLs' Advanced Vehicle Testing Activity work and a final report is forthcoming. These initial numbers from IPL do mesh with other research into DC fast charging, though. Mitsubishi said daily fast charging wouldn't really hurt the battery in the i-MiEV and MIT tests of a Fisker Karma battery showed just 10-percent loss over 1,500 rapid charge-discharge cycles.
Weekly Recap: Chevy and Alfa plot comeback strategies
Sat, Jun 27 2015Chevrolet and Alfa Romeo were two of the 20th Century's most iconic automotive brands. Chevy embodied America's post-war power and confidence. Alfa was the definition of the stylish Italian sports car. They reached halcyon heights in the 1950s and '60s, before declining precipitously amid new competition, changing consumer tastes, and uneven corporate management. Both say 2015 is the start of something better, and this week Chevy and Alfa laid out ambitious plans and showcased new cars that they hope will make them more relevant this year, and in the coming years. Each brand sits at its own crossroads, and their paths forward are as different as the Chevy Cruze and the Alfa Romeo Giulia. Chevy is still a sales beast, as evidenced by its volume of 4.8 million vehicles sold around the world last year. Chevy executives are fond of saying one of their cars is sold every seven seconds, which illustrates the strength and reach of a car brand that is the fourth largest in the world. "Make no mistake about it, we are a brand for the people," said General Motors North America president Alan Batey. But he wants consumers to want to buy a Chevy for its design and technology, not simply because it's affordable. That starts with all Chevys now featuring a distinctive a family look, with sporty cues from the Corvette or strong lines that riff on the Silverado pickup. "We want people to fall in lust with our cars," said Mike Pevovar, executive design director for Chevy passenger cars. "That initial emotional attraction has to be right on the exterior, and that's where form comes into play." Chevy is also loading up its cars, like the freshly unveiled 2016 Chevy Cruze, with technology to appeal to a younger crowd that prizes connectivity. The Cruze will offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with its MyLink infotainment system, and OnStar with 4G LTE and wifi. Seeking out younger buyers is also sound business practice: Millennials now outnumber Baby Boomers as the largest single age group in the United States. Younger buyers also can improve a brand's image, which is another area where Chevy would like to improve. Chevy ranks 82nd on Interbrand's Best Global Brand's list, behind 11 other automakers. Apple is No. 1. "We need our own variation of the Genius Bar," Batey said. 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia View 3 Photos Meanwhile, Alfa is in different shape.
