CONDITION
I bought this car from the Nissan dealership with 33K miles on it. This car has had one previous owner, who had leased it from the dealership I bought it from. I've only put about 6K of mostly highway miles on the car since I've owned it. I pretty much just drive it to and from work (40 mi round trip). I'm a mature 37 year old, I've never tracked it (more into go-karting) or put it through any really hard driving. I had my dealership check the computer and it has never been launched. I'm selling this car because I'd like to get the Tesla S. And since I also own a Ferrari, I felt I didn't need to have two really sporty cars so I'm parting with my GT-R.
My car's exterior and interior has been maintained on a monthly basis by the professional detailers of Lucci Elite Detail. They detail the majority of the Bugatti Veyrons in the Southern California region so you can rest assure that this car has always been kept in pristine condition inside and out. There is clear bra protecting the front bumper and headlights. I don't smoke and I've never allowed food into this car.
All service has been done on schedule at my Nissan dealership, they have full records. I've had zero issues with this car, it runs flawlessly. Dealership put brand new Dunlop SP Sport 7010 DSST tires on when I bought the car. With only 6K miles on them, there is plenty of life left on the tires, they look brand new. Dealer also installed brand new front rotors so you won't need to replace those anytime soon. Rear rotors aren't brand new but also have plenty of life left on them.
The only imperfections I can think of are that the underside of front lip has some scuffs and there are 2 small paint chips that were touched up on the passenger rear fender. Please take a look at the detailed photos lower on this page.
ADD-ONS
- 20" Forgestar CF5 Wheels
- HKS Legamax Exhaust (street legal, passes smog just fine and sounds so good, I still have the stock exhaust if you want it)
- Swift Lowering Springs (actually made the ride better, I know it's hard to believe)
- LoJack (comes with key fob thing that will alert you if your car has been moved)
- Light window tint all around
- Clear bra on front bumper and headlights
- Shadow chrome GT-R emblems front and rear
- Big, fat Nissan logo removed from rear
- Dry carbon fiber rear exhaust surrounds
WHY BUY THIS CAR?
- Immaculately maintained inside and out
- Only 39K mostly highway miles
- Never been launched
- Zero mechanical issues, runs like new
- Very new tires and brakes
- Has some tasteful but not over the top add-ons
- Asking price is quite reasonable

Nissan 'Ride of Your Life' campaign turns an Altima into a race car [w/video]
Thu, 08 May 2014Nissan definitely makes some exciting vehicles. The GT-R has received continuous improvements to keep it at the head of the pack in the performance car world. And the Leaf might not bring driving intensity, but its technology is quite impressive. However, there is nothing especially thrilling about the Altima. Granted, it races in the Australian V8 Supercars series, but that car really only shares its basic shape with the production version. So it may see surprising that the Japanese automaker is hoping to inject some drama into its midsize sedan with its new Ride of Your Life ad campaign.
The project is pretty clever. Nissan invited several people to the Horse Thief Mile circuit at Willow Springs Raceway for a ride in an Altima racecar. After a few laps with a professional driver around the course, they pulled into the pits, and the passengers got a big surprise. We won't spoil what happens for you. You can check it out in the video below.
The concept is somewhat similar to Toyota's thrill ride ads for the Camry last year. Both promotions try to show that that these four-door, family sedans can be more than just boring transportation. Nissan's commercials will begin airing on TV soon. The automaker hopes to excite potential Altima buyers ahead of its upcoming national sales event. Scroll down to watch the video to find out the big secret and read the full release about the campaign.
Recharge Wrap-up: Nissan Leaf brake investigation, EV market will grow in China
Wed, Mar 18 2015Electric vehicles are expected to significantly cut into the gasoline-powered vehicle market in China. According to analysts at Frost & Sullivan, gas vehicles will drop to 94.9 percent of the market, while EVs will reach 4.2 percent by 2020. China's EV incentives, as well as a push in technology innovations, are credited for the rising popularity of plug-in cars. Despite awareness issues and supply shortages holding EVs back, "the Chinese powertrain market will remain buoyant, with increased customer purchasing power and self-esteem needs triggering vehicle sales," according to Frost & Sullivan researcher Ming Lih Chan. The big winners in this equation will be the suppliers of EV components in China. Read more in the press release below. The Canadian government is investigating possible brake failure issues with the Nissan Leaf. The Transport Canada investigation will look at 2013 to 2015 models, which could be experiencing brake malfunctions in severe cold weather. In the US, drivers have reported problems such as aggressive response to driver input and jerky braking, with some problems going away when the weather got warmer. NHTSA hasn't begun an investigation of its own, so far. Read more at Hybrid Cars. Sunspeed Enterprises has started an Indiegogo campaign to fund the installation of EV chargers along the Pacific Coast Sun Trail. As part of creating a 700-mile network of EV Infrastructure along the Pacific Coast Highway, this particular campaign is helping pay for a charging hub powered by renewable energy at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, California. Donors will receive rewards such as shirts and mugs, as well as charging credits and discounts. At the highest level, a $10,000 donation will net the donor free charging for life at any Sunspeed charging hub. Learn more at Indiegogo. Syrena Sport returns as rebodied Nissan 370Z
Tue, 23 Apr 2013We wouldn't hold it against you if you'd never heard of the FSO Syrena Sport. FSO built the long-enduring Syrena for some 17 years nonstop, and while the machines were mostly plodding family sedans, engineers at FSO did create one version with a bit more zest. The Syrena Sport was a two-door coupe that borrowed design cues from Ferrari and was powered by a two-cylinder, air-cooled boxer engine. While originally intended for production, economic woes kept the machine from ever seeing the light of day.
Now, the Syrena Sport is back, though in a slightly different configuration. Entrepreneur Rafal Czubaj has resurrected the name for a special one-off creation designed by Pavlo Burkatskyy. This time around, there is no oddball boxer under the hood, however. Czubaj chose to use the underpinnings from the Nissan 370Z, complete with its 3.7-liter V6 engine. Buyers can choose between a 330-horsepower tune or a 450-hp iteration, and with a curb weight of 2,865 pounds, the car should be plenty quick. Expect acceleration to 60 miles per hour in around 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph.
