2004 Nissan Frontier Xe Extended Cab Pickup 2-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
Covington, Louisiana, United States
2004 Nissan Frontier XE, 2 wd, automatic transmission, power locks and windows, working air conditioner and heater. Well maintained, very reliable truck. Plugs changed 12/2012, oil and filter changed every 3000 miles, last changed 5 days ago, water pump changed in last week. Mechanically sound vehicle, very reliable and I would not hesitate to take it on the road once tires are changed. Interior is in very good shape. One visor has small area where the fabric has been worn due to wear and tear. Otherwise, a good detailing and it's like new. Exterior is in overall good shape. It shows normal wear and tear for a work truck and has some scratches, nothing major, no major dings. I purchased this vehicle from a private owner in 2009 knowing it had a reconstructed title. This truck has been trouble free and low maintenance throughout my ownership. I have priced this vehicle well below book due to reconstructed title, the need to replace the windshield and tires. The vehicle is also for sale locally. This auction may be cancelled in the event it is sold locally. The truck can be shipped if requested, cost of shipment depends on destination. |

Nissan's big price cuts threatening others' profits
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Bloomberg reports Nissan may be keeping the competition up at night even more than normal. The Japanese automaker recently cut prices on seven of its models and bolstered incentive offerings in an attempt to gain market share in the US, and the strategy is working. Last month saw the company's sales leap by 25 percent, which is nearly triple the industry average. Nissan is currently taking advantage of the weak yen - Japanese currency has fallen by 15 percent against the dollar, which has given the automaker around $1,500 per car to use to either add features or cut prices. Some analysts are calling the policy "scorched earth."
Meanwhile, American automakers like Ford, General Motors and Chrysler are doing their best to keep from sliding back into old bad habits. The Detroit Three have steadily moved away from a discount and incentive strategy to bring in new buyers since the 2009 recession. Those short-sighted tactics helped paved the way for bankruptcy at both GM and Chrysler. As Bloomberg reports, the resolve to stay away from big discounts may falter if Toyota begins using similar tactics.
Nissan EV design is diverging in three directions
Tue, Jan 21 2014As the movie awards season kicks into high gear, Nissan design chief Shiro Nakamura appears to be implying that his company's electric-vehicle design prospects are about to go from Philomena into The Wolf of Wall Street territory. Nakamura, speaking with Motor Authority at the Detroit Auto Show last week, allowed that the design of the five-seat Nissan Leaf is fairly conservative and will remain so given that the model continues to be the most practically-minded EV from the company. In the near future, though, Nissan is planning to head in different directions. Specifically, an all-electric sports car and a two-seat commuter vehicle that could come with in-wheel electric motors that will allow the designs to get more radical. How radical? Well, we've heard Nissan may bring the BladeGlider concept (pictured) it unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show late last year to production. It has a narrow front and wider rear and a 1+2 seating arrangement. Beyond that, Nissan has the two-seat Esflow concept vehicle it showed off in 2011 that could provide some hints, since it's expected that some of the design components from that car will be worked into the upcoming production models.
YouTuber TJ Smith is your singing Lyft driver in Nissan Sentra ad
Fri, 11 Jul 2014Perhaps you've seen Nissan's latest commercial, promoting the Sentra. It's a fairly simple little spot, showing the compact's driver blaring Billy Idol's Mony Mony, singing along and encouraging other motorists to join in.
We'd have been fine had it been left at that. It's a simple commercial that shows the car with a catchy tune and smiling people. Nissan couldn't leave well enough alone, though, and has come back with this. Starring TJ Smith - the driver from the original ad and an apparent YouTube celebrity famous for the kind of thing shown in the original commercial - the new ad expands on the old, with more people, and more Mony Mony. This time round, Smith is serving as a driver for the Lyft service, who just happens to break into song with his fares in the car.
