2014 Nissan Altima S Sedan 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Cookeville, Tennessee, United States
Recently purchased this vehicle new in January 1, 2014 (just a little over 3 months ago). This vehicle is in absolutely immaculate condition! Please note that the wheels and tires have been upgraded to the 17" Nissan O.E.M. chrome wheels (the same shown on the SL models) and have the new Bridgestone Turanza Serenity tires P275 65 R17 to give this car the most smoothest, quit ride and elegant look.
One of the best features and the reason that i purchased the vehicle is due to the phenomenal mpg; 27 mpg City and 38 mpg Highway. Some of my trips I have gotten closer to 43 mpg based on the current mpg display. The car does have tpms (tire pressure monitor system) so you can monitor current air pressure in the tires. Other excellent features that sold me the car is the CVT transmission, wireless bluetooth phone connectivity, rear cam feature, and roomy cargo. Extras that will come with the car. You will get the original stock tires and wheels, ContiProContinental tires, and the 16" wheels. The car will also come with the Permaplate technology which is a special coating on car that covers the interior against any stain for up to 5 years. Basically, if you cannot get a stain out of the material, Permaplate will get it out for you. If they cannot get it out, they will replace the material no questions asked. All documentation will be provided with the car. The car will also comes with free oil changes/tire rotations at the Nissan Dealership for up to 40K miles. You can reach me anytime for further questions and comments. Bassam Lamale; bassam.lamale@gmail.com 931-200-5407 Buyer pays shipping, however, I will get the car to you if you are in reasonable driving range which is approximately 200 miles from Cookeville, TN. Arrangements may be worked out just please get in touch with me. Thank you for looking. Have a Great Day! :) |

Chrysler, Nissan minivans earn 'dire' crash test results, says IIHS [w/video]
Fri, Nov 21 2014First introduced in 2012, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's small-overlap frontal crash test has become the bane of many auto engineers' existence. It's a particularly steep design challenge because it forces just 25 percent of a vehicle's front end to take the brunt of a 40-mile-per-hour impact. The newly released results of four family-minded minivans underscore just how difficult the crash test is: only one scored an Acceptable rating, and the other three did very poorly. The 2008-2015 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan, plus the 2011-2015 Nissan Quest, all received Poor ratings in the test, the IIHS' lowest possible score. The three of them showed significant crash intrusion into the driver's area. The dummy in the Nissan actually had to be cut out of the vehicle, with an IIHS spokesperson remarking, "the structure collapsed like a house of cards." In the Fiat Chrysler Automobile vans, the steering wheels moved out of the way, making the airbag less effective and letting the driver's head hit the dashboard. While it was not actually crashed, the agency is also giving the 2009-12 Volkswagen Routan a Poor score because it shares a structure with the FCA models. The newly released results of four minivans underscore just how difficult the small-offset crash test is. The refreshed 2015 Toyota Sienna (shown), conversely, earned an Acceptable rating and is also a Top Safety Pick+ because of its optional forward collision warning and automatic braking system. While the crash test dummy moved around during the impact more than the agency would have liked, sensors showed a low risk of injuries. The IIHS tested the Honda Odyssey last year, and it earned a Good overall score, the agency's best ranking. It's also a Top Safety Pick+ vehicle. The only member of the minivan segment left to test is the latest Kia Sedona, and the Institute is reportedly waiting a little longer for Kia to make changes to improve the model's performance. When reached for comment, Nissan spokesperson Steve Yaeger provided Autoblog with the following statement: "Nissan is committed to vehicle safety and believes that consumers should have information about crash protection so they can make educated buying decisions. Nissan is proud of the 2014 Quest's "good" rating in the IIHS front moderate overlap and side impact tests as well as a "good" head restraint rating.
2013 Nissan GT-R and 2013 Alpina B6 mix it up on track and street
Fri, 24 May 2013
Here we have Autocar making an unforeseen comparison: the Nissan GT-R against the Alpina B6 at Brands Hatch and on public roads. Steve Sutcliffe clobbers the circuit in the 3,828-pound, all-wheel-drive sports car, then sees how well the 4,114-pound, rear-wheel drive grand tourer does against it.
Sutcliffe says there are quite a few similarities between the two cars, but that's really only on the spec sheet. The Nissan's got two turbos attached to its 3.8-liter V6, 542 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. The Alpina's got two turbos attached to its 4.4-liter V8, 532 hp and 528 lb-ft. But one's brief is to be a monster on the track, the other on the boulevard, and if there's anything the video demonstrates, it's each car's focus.
Semi-autonomous Nissan Leaf certified for road use in Japan [w/video]
Sat, 28 Sep 2013In order to meet its goal of having an autonomous car in production by 2020, Nissan is going to have be able to test its technology in real-world driving conditions. For this, the automaker has just received a license plate to legally test its semi-autonomous driver assist systems in Japan, marking the first time such technologies have been tested on that country's roads. Not ironically, the license plate number is 2020.
Though not fully autonomous, this Leaf prototype will test various components of a self-driving car including exiting the highway, the ability to stay in its lane and change lanes when needed, stopping at red lights and overtaking stopped or slow traffic. Nissan is also in the process of building a proving ground in Oppama, Japan dedicated solely to autonomous cars, but the ability to test on public roads will obviously play a crucial role in the development of these cars. Scroll down for a short video and press release Nissan posted to mark the occasion.
