2003 Nissan Altima S Sedan 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Gadsden, Alabama, United States
Very nice well maintained 2003 Altima 2.5l. This car looks great, and
drives well. There are no cel codes, no issues with the engine or
drivetrain. Great gas mileage, but still has good acceleration for a 4
cyl [175hp] . Everything works as it should on this car including the
AC, CD player, cruise control, etc. This car should serve you well for
what ever you need be it driving to work, shopping, vacations, taking
the kids to sporting events, or it would make a good, safe car for
someone going to college.
The engine has been totally rebuilt. New pistons, rings, rod/main bearings, oil pump, timing chains [yes there are two chains on this engine, one for timing, and one for the balancers], timing chain guides, and tensioners, timing gears, new valves, valve job, new valve seals, head gasket, new water pump, new injector o-rings. The new engine has now ran for 600+ miles with no problems at all. So, you get a fresh engine, and a low mile car. Plus all factory related engine issues have been eliminated. [If you doubt the engine problems for all 02-07 Nissan Altima's with the 2.5l engine just do a search on Google worded, "Nissan Atima engine problems", and read all that you come up with.] Also, keep in mind that ALL 4 cyl Nissan Altima's from 02-07 had the engine issues if your looking to buy an Altima made in these years. All fluids have been changed, also, new radiator, new accessory belt, and tensioner, new alternator. New camshaft sensor, new 02 sensor, new crank sensor. Every thing works fine on this car. Car runs, and drives fine, with no know issues, except for a small exhaust leak. Of course this is an older vehicle, and even though it has low miles, and even though has been well kept I am going to be selling it as it where is, with no warranty. There are two dime size dings on the drivers side, and maybe one on the passenger side. A small scratch pictured on the bottom rear where the quarter panel meets the rear bumper, and another on the passenger side just in front of the rear bumper, and one scratch on the drivers side rear mirror. |

Renault-Nissan alliance to start autonomous EV testing
Mon, Feb 27 2017The Renault-Nissan alliance is joining the self-driving electric-vehicle party. The French-Japanese automaking collaboration, which has been selling electric vehicles to the masses since introducing the Nissan Leaf in 2010, said Monday that it will work with transportation-technology consultant Transdev on developing a fleet of self-driving EVs for testing purposes. The model of choice, though, won't be the Leaf, but instead will be the Renault Zoe. Details aren't abundant, but the group does say it will perform the field testing in the Paris area. Transdev's pedigree includes operating what it says is the world's first commercial driverless service at France's EDF campus. The company, which is majority-owned by Caisse des Depots, is no small potatoes, generating about $7 billion in revenue in 2015. Take a look at the alliance's statement here. The alliance has already been working with Microsoft on driving-technology advancements and has teamed up with Japan-based DeNA to hatch a driverless-vehicle initiative for commercial services. And in January, Nissan said its ProPilot features, which include increased self-driving capabilities, would be added to its Leaf EV "in the near future." Of course, other automakers have already jumped into the self-driving EV game. California-based EV maker Tesla has long been pushing its vehicle technology toward autonomy, and General Motors said in December that it would start field testing driverless Chevrolet Bolt EVs sometime this year. In the meantime, the Alliance is gearing up a changeover in leadership, as Carlos Ghosn said last week that he was stepping down as Nissan's CEO on April 1. Ghosn, long a champion of electric-vehicle technology, will be succeeded by Nissan co-CEO Hiroto Saikawa. Renault taking Alpine endurance racing, enters 24 Hours of Le Mans
Sun, 10 Mar 2013Renault isn't letting up with the return of its Alpine brand. After announcing a partnership with Caterham to bring a new Alpine to market by 2015 (now expected by 2016), the French firm has announced it is taking Alpine racing again in the European Le Mans Series this year - and that includes The 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It has been 35 years since Alpine last competed in Le Mans, when it won the race outright and dropped the mic as it left the pits, never to return. Before that, in the 11 years it campaigned in the most famous endurance race on the planet from 1963 to 1978, it took seven class wins.
Caterham won't be involved with the race team, however; that will be an effort spearheaded by the Signatech-Nissan team that has been running GT Academy winners in LMS racing. Alpine is preparing an LMP2 chassis that will get a 500-horsepower Nissan engine for this year's championship, with the first two named drivers being Nelson Panciatici (above right) and Pierre Ragues (above left). The third driver for Le Mans will be announced later this month when the racer is launched at the Le Castellet race track in southern France.
