1998 nissan altima gxe for sale. I have owned this car for about 4 years and purchased with 90k miles. I have been using this vehicle every day back and forth to work about 60 miles per day. Just drove to newport rhode island and also drives about 180 miles every weekend to go to the beach. The reason im selling the car is that my son purchased a new car and i took his old one. I feel bad selling it since it has been so reliable. The car has 177,900 miles on it but is still very reliable transportation. This is a five speed manual transmission vehicle.
The good
Averages 28-30 mpg
Runs excellent with no engine noises
Shifts smoothly and positively
Fairly new starter, alternator, axles, rotors
Interior in good condition except for small hole in drivers seat
Ice cold air conditioning
Changed oil every 6 k with full synthetic oil
Body is in decent shape
The not so good
Radio volume control acts up sometimes
Probably could use struts , noisy over bumps.
All windows work but driver side control only raises and lowers drivers window. Others by controls on respective doors.
Check engine light on during summer warm temps, and off during cold winter months. I have been told maybe needs a gas cap or something to do with a charcoal canister. I never worried about it since the car gets inspected in the month of january when its cold.
The paint does have rock chips and scratches

Nissan Leaf resale value expected to take a hit
Mon, 03 Jun 2013Nissan Leaf resale values may take a tumble, according to Kelley Blue Book. The vehicle evaluation resource said the 2013 Nissan Leaf will retain around 35 percent of its MSRP after three years; that's down five percent from what KBB gave the 2012 Leaf at the end of 2011. Automotive News reports KBB adjusted the EV's residual value prediction because the used transaction prices for the 2011 model have stuck around 35 percent for the past few months due to relatively cheap gasoline, not to mention the fact that Nissan trimmed the electric's MSRP from $36,050 to $29,650 before the $7,500 tax credit.
Since used buyers are often motivated by more practical buying concerns than early adopters or those wanting to curb their carbon emissions, they may not be willing to pay more for an EV. Meanwhile, early Leaf models are now coming to auction, abandoned by rental car companies after customers shunned them in favor of traditional internal-combustion vehicles. Many of those at auction have less than 10,000 miles and carry an average transaction price of just $13,700.
Nissan teases new pickup on Twitter [w/video]

Nissan teases sedan concept for Beijing [w/video]
Sat, 15 Mar 2014Nissan is giving us the first tease of its creatively named New Sedan Concept that is premiering at the Beijing Motor Show on April 20. The single image shows the vehicle wearing a diaphanous robe that is just translucent enough to make out its headlights, V-shaped grille and badge. The rest is still a mystery.
The New Sedan Concept is aimed at young, digitally focused Chinese buyers, according to Nissan. Its look came from a collaboration between the company's design centers in China and Japan and was led by Chief Creative Officer Shiro Nakamura. However, the teaser certainly makes the New Sedan look a lot like the Sport Sedan Concept from the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. Hopefully, this is truly a new model and not just a repaint.
