Up for sale is the one of a kind "Mishimoto Sharpie"  500 hp Nissan 370Z featured in the May 2012 issue of DSPORT Magazine.

This amazing one of a kind car has 14,000 miles on it and all of the modifications listed below were installed new & are in excellent working condition having 5,000 miles or less on them.  This car has over $100,000 of parts and work invested into it; all of which was done by performance shops in California & Minnesota (A detailed description of all service performed & specifications available upon purchase). The one of a kind art seen was completed at the SEMA 2011 auto show & is sure to turn heads. To see the YouTube video type in "sharpie 370z" in google.

Highlight Modifications:

  • Stillen Vortech V-3 Centrifugal Supercharger Kit
  • PPE Engineering Long Tube Headers & Berk Technology Exhaust Dual 2.5" Cat Back
  • KW Variant 3 Adjustable Dampers / Coilovers / Springs
  • Stoptech 4-piston Front and 6-piston Rear Big Brake Kit
  • TSW Tanaka Rims, Hankook Ventus V12 EVO K110 Tires (less than 1,000 miles on both)
  • Sound-stream Sound System & 320 Amp SPX-i High Output Alternator
  • Custom Sharpie Art done by Hydro 74 & Zombie Yeti (There is a double clear coat over the sharpie which is UVA&B resistant; good to wash & wax over top of & leave in the sun without fade)
The car has 412 RWHP & 306 RWTQ at a safe 7.35 psi of supercharger boost at redline; this car is built as a race car with the reliability of a daily driver; the current tune is conservative getting close to 40mpg (because of the 'Centrifugal Supercharger' Setup). With a more aggressive tune you could see more hp and with a 10psi pulley upgrade this car could push 700 RWHP easily. With the current setup and tune on this exceptional 370Z its engine performance and handling rivals that of a Porsche 911 S or Corvette ZR1 & gets more attention at car shows than a Lambrogini or Ferrari; it has been an absolute joy owning it. The header & exhaust setup is extremely clean sounding and is one of the best sounding tuner cars I have ever heard. On top of performance the sound system is fantastic & far exceeds the stock bose setup. This car is extremely fast and was NEVER tracked, raced or abused & was garage stored for its life; never driven in the snow and seldom in the rain.

If you are seriously interested in the vehicle please place a best offer; I am open to consider any and all offers. A $2,000 USD non refundable deposit is required upon the end of the auction & full payment of the remaining balance is required by cashiers check within 14 days after the end of the auction. If you would like to travel to Minneapolis Minnesota and view the vehicle & test drive it please contact me; I can accommodate for your visit and pause the auction if you request so, however the purchase must be made through eBay.

Nissan Rogue Detour uses Google Maps to go create virtual test drive from your doorstep

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

The best way to evaluate a new car before you buy it is to test drive it. All of the specs and reviews in the world cannot communicate how a car suits you as well as a few minutes behind the wheel. Interesting, then, that according to Nissan, the average buyer spends twice as much time researching new cars online than they do at dealers.
To market its new 2014 Rogue, Nissan has launched an online marketing experience aimed at bridging that gap. Called The Detour, it combines Google Street View and Google Maps to give you a custom-tailored virtual test drive. The neat, uniquely interactive part about Detour is that it allows you to specify a starting and ending location. Thus, you can use the microsite to 'show' the Rogue on your commute, or your favorite stretch of tarmac. To spice things up, Nissan has added some digital effects and set the experience to a song by British rapper M.I.A.
Detour seems to work better on shorter journeys, because it snips out some portions of the route in order to keep the experience from running too long. If you're going to try it out, we suggest using a crosstown journey rather than going cross country. Scroll down to get all of the details on the Rogue's latest marketing campaign, or click here to try it out for yourself.

Meet the Nissan GT-R test driver responsible for 'Ring tuning

Wed, 07 May 2014

Ever wonder what it's like to be a manufacturer's development driver at the Nürburgring? We imagine it's pretty cool. After all, you get to spend your days zooming about the greatest racetrack on the planet in a vehicle that is usually months or more away from consumers. For Hiroyoshi Kato, whose actual title is Technical Meister, life is even better than your typical development driver, because he spends his days wringing out the Nissan GT-R Nismo around the Green Hell.
Kato-san has a long history with both Nissan and the Ring. He had a major hand in the development of the R32, R33 and R34 Skyline GT-Rs, having first come to the Ring nearly three decades ago.
His experience with the Nismo, though, is different than the other vehicles he's contributed to. As he explains it, there are real racers on hand to test the car on the track, like Formula One reserve driver Sébastien Buemi. Instead, Kato focuses on the track-to-road balance. Still, he has some truly interesting insights on the car and the track, including his surprise at turning a sub-eight-minute lap in his first outing. That, along with a few other things (one of which is an R34 being hustled about), make this a must-watch video from Nissan.

2014 Nissan Rogue

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

When I first started in this whole automotive journalism biz, I held a sort of hodgepodge receptionist/gopher/production assistant role, and each morning as the staff filed in, I'd ask them how they liked whatever car they were assigned to drive the previous night. Most of my colleagues would regale me with anecdotes about how good or bad a vehicle was, but one co-worker, every single morning, would answer my query with the exact same phrase: "It was fine."
I always assumed this was just a brush-off, an "ask me again after I've had a cup of coffee" sort of response. But then I found myself in a similar moment of brevity following the launch of the 2014 Nissan Rogue earlier this week. After returning home, a friend asked me what I thought of the new Rogue, and I replied, word for word, "It was fine."
And, well, it was. Nothing worth wasting exclamation points over, good or bad. Aside from something like the interesting-to-drive Mazda CX-5 or funky-looking Jeep Cherokee, nothing in this class really tries to set the world on fire. And that, right there, is fine. Nissan doesn't need to do anything crazy with its second-generation Rogue. It just needs to offer a well-equipped crossover that's handsome, functional, efficient and priced right - sticking to the same formula that made the first-generation model so successful while offering the latest crop of creature comforts in a more modern package.
