Beautiful 370Z! I am the second owner of this California Car! Clean car fax, No damage or Paint work ever!!! I have owned 12 Z's and I looked for a long time to find this one. The only reason that I am selling this car is due to a job transfer to Colorado. I maintain my car meticulously, Mobil 1 synthetic, this car has been kept spotless and waxed monthly.

Tires have 1870 miles on them, all tread is 9/32nds, the tires cost over $1800 new. This is a base model 370Z with the 19 inch factory Rays wheels and factory rear spoiler. I do have most of the Bose stereo system just never had the chance to have it installed. Head unit, Subwoofer with amp and Bose speakers are included with the car.. Interior and exterior of the car is spotless. No scratches and everything works as it should. All manuals and both  both keyless remotes.

This Z has the 7 speed automatic with rev match. Lots of fun to drive! It will actually get 27.5 miles to the gallon. I sell windows for a living and almost all of my driving was on the highway. This car was never abused, I have a 240z race car for when I want to go fast, this was used as a commuter car for work.

I am a full disclosure type of person when it comes to selling on ebay, nothing to hide. There are no chips in the windshield, the car has 1 very small ding on the drivers side wheel well, some stone chips on the front bumper cover and a few scuffs under the front bumper cover. That is it!!! No Accidents, no other dings, no paint work Very nice well cared for automobile. Any question please call or email 970-331-2555

Nissan rowed the Note ashore [w/video]

Thu, 24 Oct 2013

Normally we wouldn't suggest trying to float your car on water, but Nissan has made some modifications to turn its new Versa Note hatchback into a makeshift rowing shell.
Nissan replaced the car's rear seats with a sliding rear rowing seat, modified the doors to open wider at 90 degrees and fitted a pair of oars. Most importantly, they put the whole thing on a floating platform to keep it from sinking into Eton Dorney Lake, the site of the 2012 Olympic rowing competitions in England (where the car is simply known as the Nissan Note).
Then they invited medal-winning competitive rowers Helen Glover, Sophie Hosking and Polly Swann to come along and row the thing, making use of the around-view monitor system to see where they were going. All in all it may not be quite as cool as the boats which Fiat made out of the 500 or Mini made out of its convertible, but it's still enough to float our boat. Check it out in the video clip and press release below and the image gallery above.

Nissan Leaf battery cells put through torture test, live to charge again

Sun, Mar 2 2014

One minor chink in the armor of the Tesla Model S is that a small number have caught fire, once their battery packs were penetrated. Nissan Leaf drivers, however, might just be able to weather such an event without an ensuing CarBQ. Our evidence for such a claim? A video that has surfaced of cells from a Leaf pack undergoing a battery of torture tests (pun somewhat-ashamedly intended). Shared by folks at the Hybrid Auto Center in Las Vegas – who offer for sale, among other things, used Leaf lithium battery modules – the footage shows salvaged cells being brutally assaulted with a screwdriver, and later, a propane torch. Granted, these tests are not the same thing as flinging a piece of metal into a working pack at 70 miles per hour, but they do claim to show that a puncture does not always equal a fire. Oh, and don't try this at home. When pierced through by the flat head tool, there is no explosion or eruption of flame. Instead, a rather modest wisp of smoke shyly emerges as the electrolyte next to the shorted area of the fully-charged foil pouch reacts with the influx of oxygen. Again and again, the blade descends, until the cell is riddled with holes. No fire. Amazingly, when connected with a voltmeter afterward there are still plenty of signs of life, and when it is charged and discharged (off-camera), it reportedly suffers only a slight loss of charge capacity. The video goes on to show another cell attacked with open flame with similar results. While the demonstration is, perhaps, somewhat crude, the message it sends is loud and clear: lithium batteries can be safe and rather robust, despite some freak accidents. Renault shares hit six-year low on rumors of Nissan split

Mon, Jan 13 2020

LONDON — Renault shares hit six-year lows on Monday after a media report that Nissan has accelerated secret contingency planning for a potential split from the French carmaker, the latest sign that the downfall of former boss Carlos Ghosn is roiling the 20-year alliance. At 1027 GMT, the shares were down 3.7%, languishing at the bottom of Paris' CAC 40 and the pan European STOXX 600 index. The plans include war-gaming a total split in engineering and manufacturing, as well as changes to Nissan's board, the Financial Times newspaper reported on Sunday citing several sources. Nissan's contingency planning has ramped up since the dramatic escape of Ghosn, the former head of the Renault-Nissan  alliance, from Japan in late December, it said. The tie-up has been in management turmoil since Ghosn's arrest in Tokyo in November 2018 on allegations of financial misconduct, which he denies. He was awaiting trial in Japan when he fled to Lebanon. "We firmly believe the relationship between (Renault and Nissan) and hence the Alliance is broken and is likely beyond the point of repair," Evercore ISI analysts Arndt Elinghorst and Chris McNally wrote in a note on Monday. They have an 'underperform' rating on the French car company. Renault was not available for immediate comment. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
