I purchased this vehicle in September of 2011 with 4k miles on the odometer. I am the second owner of the car and have babied it since the day it was purchased. It has been garage kept since day one, with oil and filter changes every 3k-4k miles. All 4 tires were replaced approximately 6k miles ago and there is still plenty of tread life left.
The vehicle has a clean CarFax report with no prior accidents and no prior paintwork. The engine and transmission are both in excellent condition and have not given me any trouble. The exterior of the vehicle is in great condition aside from a couple items. There is a crack in the passenger side of the windshield (happened recently when a rock chip hit the windshield on the highway), and some curb rash on two of the wheels. Other than than that the exterior is very clean. The entire front bumper, the first 1/4 of the hood, the front of the roof and the side skirts have been completely covered by a clear bra which was installed by the original owner, so the front of car is 100% free of any kind of bug damage or paint chips.
The interior of the car is exceptionally clean. Not really any damage to report there. The rear-view mirror has been upgraded with an Escort unit that comes with GPS navigation, Blue-tooth and a back up camera.
I installed a GTM 25-row oil cooler shortly after purchasing the car. The 370Z's unfortunately have some issues with oil temperatures, but the addition of the GTM oil cooler eliminates this problem. The oil temps used to reach 210-220 degrees during regular driving in the summer, but with the oil cooler they rarely go over 180 degrees.
I will consider any reasonable offer. Please do not contact me with any low-ball offers. I will not reply.

Can a car be lifted using rubber bands?
Sat, 19 Jan 2013It's quite amazing what it takes to lift a car. We already know the feat can be accomplished using just a pair of phone books, but what about rubber bands? To the Internet! A video series appropriately titled "Will It Lift" attempted to find out by using a massive crane and a Nissan Micra weighing less than 1,800 pounds.
Doing a little math, the trio determined that it would take 180 rubber bands to support the car. A metal bar was placed through the window openings and another was place atop the car, and then attached together using the rubber bands and hooked to the crane. Now these aren't any special rubber bands or anything. They're just eight-millimeters thick, but the stunt is testing the rubber bands' power in numbers.
We're not going to spoil it for you, so scroll down to check out the video of the stunt.
Only 3 new cars cost under $20,000. Here’s what you should buy used instead
Tue, May 2 2023Looks like some more people have realized something we pointed out late last year. There are only three new cars under the magic $20,000 price limit currently for sale in the United States. Those three vehicles are the Nissan Versa with a starting price of $16,925 (all prices here include destination fee), the Kia Rio at $17,390 and the Mitsubishi Mirage at $17,650. Should push come to shove, so to speak, we'd probably pick the Nissan as our top choice among those three due to its practicality, comfort and overall polish when compared to its similarly priced peers. But really, as we've suggested before, there are better options. Our top pick for a used vehicle under $20,000 remains the Chevy Volt. It's stylish, comfortable, practical and, above all else, efficient, assuming you can plug it in at home. If you don't have access to a plug at home, you'll likely be able to find a very gently used car for the same price as one of the budget options above. We'd check out the Honda Fit, Kia Soul, Subaru Impreza, Toyota Corolla hatchback and Volkswagen Jetta from the model years and aim for something with under 20,000 miles and with a year or two left of its factory warranty. A quick inventory search shows that some of those cars, notably the Impreza and Jetta, can even be found Certified Pre Owned in most parts of the country. For a more thorough breakdown of some of the available used-car options we'd recommend, check out our guide to the Best Cars Under $20,000. For what it's worth, with the average new car transaction price hovering alarmingly close to $50,000, we wouldn't expect to see any more options coming any time soon for well under half that sum. 2013 Nissan Pathfinder: April 2013
Fri, 26 Apr 2013Not Just For Families
Since our long-term 2013 Nissan Pathfinder joined the Autoblog Garage in late December of last year, the only time I've really spent with it has been during the short periods of time between my co-workers' longer loans. Until now, my experiences with our Mocha Stone tester have been limited to pick-ups and drop-offs at various locations around the greater Michigan/Ohio area, not to mention keeping the vehicle clean inside and out, as well as handling our first bit of scheduled maintenance in late March.
I was pleased, then, to actually be able to spend most of the month of April with our Pathfinder, finally giving me a chance to see what everyone else does and does not like about Nissan's new crossover. But here's the thing: I'm admittedly not the ideal person to test a family-minded vehicle. I'm single and in my late twenties, so something like our other long-term car, the 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, is better suited to meet my everyday needs.
