Up for sale today is my son's beautiful 2003 Nissan 350Z 2 door coupe.  For a used sportscar, it is in very, very nice condition all around.  Always maintained, this is his pride and joy while obtaining his pre-med degree at Arizona State U.  He landed a great job here in KC in cancer medical research and feels he needs a sedan for work so his fun car must be sold.

350Z is silver exterior with black interior, exterior is very nice with no noticeable dings or anything you would consider distracting.  Car's front may have a chip here or there from highway mileage, as one would expect in a used car, but just look those pictures and you can tell this is a beauty.  Tires are newer 235/35R20 with stylish rims.  Car starts strong every time and runs like an Indy car, corners sharp and tight just like you'd expect.  350z's have a reputation for hugging those corners.  Mechanically sound in every way, newer tint was put on the car this summer before he landed this job, replaced the hatch struts so they are brand new couple month's back, mileage is in the 129K range and he drives it every day until sold.  Title is Arizona clear, in hand ready to sign over.  If you've been wanting one of these sports cars, this would be a great way to enjoy high end performance without buying new!  And before those questions come in..."can I drive it home?"...yes, I would be confident to drive anywhere in the United States you call home after winning the bid.  My son drove it home this summer from Tempe, AZ with zero problems.  Drove like a dream...and got a lot of looks doing so in this beautiful machine.

2003 Nissan 350Z is sold "as is/where is" from Kansas City, MO.  No warranties or guarantees expressed or implied.  You are buying exactly what you see pictured.  Pickup of vehicle is entirely responsibility of winning bidder.  Car must be paid for in cash or wired funds must "settle" at my bank before any title transfer takes place, no exceptions.  Checks not accepted as payment.  No PayPal on this specific sale, please, because of dollar amount.  Once payment has been satisfied 100%, then we can discuss when and how to pick up car from present location.  Easy to work with on that, if you need time to arrange transportation, I fully understand.  Important thing is that car MUST be paid for in full within 5 business days of auction end or I go to next in line.  Do not bid if you cannot or won't have funds available immediately after sale ends as I am looking for immediate sale, not long drawn-out procedure with you and your bank over financing.  Just being honest and straight-forward from the beginning, thank you.  The winner will love this car!

Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida rules out closer capital ties with Renault

Mon, Dec 2 2019

YOKOHAMA — Nissan is committed to its automaking alliance with Renault but will not look to deepen its capital ties with the French automaker any time soon, its new CEO said on Monday. On his first day in the new position, chief executive Makoto Uchida also pledged to repair profitability at Japan's No. 2 automaker and said setting realistic targets would be key toward that goal, as it tries to make a clean break from the leadership of former chairman Carlos Ghosn. "Closer capital ties with Renault are not a focus in the short term," he told reporters. Uchida became CEO of Nissan on Dec. 1, as the car maker tries to recover from a profit slump and draw a line under a year of turmoil after the Ghosn scandal. The ousted chairman is fighting financial misconduct charges in Japan. One of the new CEO's big tasks is to salvage ties with Renault, which have deteriorated since Ghosn's ouster as chairman of both companies. Renault holds a 43.4% stake in Nissan after it saved the Japanese automaker from financial ruin two decades ago, and has pushed for the two companies to merge. In rejecting a notion of a merger with Renault, Uchida, 53, echoes his predecessor Hiroto Saikawa, who stepped down in September. He added that the alliance must re-think how it can serve all of its three members, which also includes Mitsubishi Motors. "The alliance has to benefit each of its partners in terms of revenue and profit," he said. "We need to re-evaluate what has worked and what hasn't worked in the alliance in the past few years." The CEO called for Nissan to set "challenging but achievable" targets, adding that this and the launch of more new car models and vehicle technologies would be key to its financial recovery. Nissan is bracing for its lowest annual profit in 11 years and has slashed its dividend by 65%. Its struggles come at a time when car companies desperately need scale to keep up with sweeping technological changes like electric vehicles and ride-hailing. "Somewhere along the way we created a culture of setting targets which could not be achieved," Uchida said, adding that this had resulted in a focus on short-term results. "Years of this had led Nissan to its current "difficult situation," he said, using heavy vehicle discounting in the U.S. market as an example of how aggressive sales targets to grow market share had deteriorated the company's brand.

2013 Nissan Pathfinder: June 2013

Thu, 18 Jul 2013

When we say that our long-term 2013 Nissan Pathfinder has been busy, we mean it. Want proof? In the past month, the big, brown Nissan was only idle enough for us to take it in for its 11,500-mile routine service and to shoot a couple of new photos of the long-termer in Detroit.
Most recently, the Pathfinder spent a few weeks in the hands of AOL Autos' executive editor Sharon Carty, who used the three-row CUV to haul her entire family from Detroit to New Jersey and back... twice. That's a pretty serious amount of miles, but it gave Sharon a really solid look into how the vehicle holds up for the needs of a family with kids of different ages.

Dongfeng-Nissan surprises with Viwa Concept EV for Venucia

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

Nissan has a joint venture in China with Dongfeng to make passenger vehicles, and last year the two companies created a sub-brand called Venucia that aims to roll out five cars by 2015. With the gasoline-engined D50 and R50 and a pilot program for the E30 electric car already out, this little orange beast, the Viwa EV concept, could point the way to a future offering.
Looking like a Chevrolet Spark that spent the weekend raving in Ibiza, the Venucia Viwa EV aims to be reliable, practical, efficient and accessible all in one package. Beyond the practical bit, defined as, "packaged with a compact body for easy driving," Venucia hasn't said how any of those other qualities are achieved. In fact, it hasn't even divulged the specifics of the electric powerplant. However, it does say that it will be developing more EVs under the guide of "China's new energy vehicle policy."
You can get a little more info about it in the press release below, or discover the little peach in the high-res gallery above.
