2007 Nissan 350z Enthusiast Coupe 2-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
Oakland Gardens, New York, United States
For sale is my 2007 350z by the 2nd owner and have had it for more than 2 years. Adult owned and maintained very nicely. The car is very lightly modded, but no engine mods, except an authentic Nismo exhaust.
Mods: -Nismo exhaust -Apline MP3 deck with integrated bluetooth with mic -Tein S-tech springs on Tokico adjustable struts. The ride is just like stock, but handling is much improved -ING-S front lip -H&R wheel spacers front and back for a better look Maintenance: -Routine oil changes at Nissan -Differential fluid changed at 60k -Transmission fluid changed 10k miles ago with Nissan fluid -Spark plugs changed within last 15k miles -All 4 tires replaced within the past year -Brand NEW Nissan transmission installed at 63k miles. I was out of warranty and 5th gear developed an occasional grind. I didn't want to buy a used transmission, so I bought it NEW. I have paperwork for this. The whole thing with labor was $2300. The new transmission is now smooth as butter without a single issue ever. -Claybar and full paint correction detail done twice a year. The car's paint is immaculate. -Front bumper and lip recently repainted due to wear and tear from highway driving -I have receipts and documentation for everything Disclosure: -The original owner was in a very light fender bender when the car was new. Only thing changed was the rear bumper cover. I was even shown pictures when I bought the car. -TPMS (Tire pressure monitoring system) light is lit on the display probably because one of the four sensors has gone bad. Since I manually check tire pressure myself every week, I never bothered to address this. This is a very solid car and has no major issues. The engine is healthy and strong and the buyer is welcomed to show any mechanic of their choice. The 07-08 Zs are much improved over previous years because they have the "HR" engine with dual intakes, they have a higher redline and more HP. I enjoyed this car, but it's time to let it go. Kelly Blue Book private party value for this car is $14.5, but my reserve is a good amount lower. Shoot me a message if you have any questions. If you have no feedback, please contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. Thanks for looking. |

Robert Llewellyn fast-charges long-distance Leaf EV drive in UK
Thu, Jan 30 2014A British actor likely best known in his country for his role in the 1980s and 90s comedy series Red Dwarf has just made a pretty good case for driving green automobiles. Last week, Robert Llewellyn has completed an 862-mile round trip between London and Edinburgh in a Nissan Leaf and says he was able to save time by finding enough fast-charging stations the entire way, UK website Excite/Motoring says. Llewellyn, along with co-driver David Peilow, knocked out the London-to-Edinburgh leg in a single day, in part because of the British network of about 150 fast-charging stations. Llewellyn used his Twitter feed to update the general public of the two drivers' progress, noting that the first leg took about 13 hours. The round trip was completed January 26. Nissan can use all the positive publicity in can get, as UK sales of the all-electric vehicle failed to keep pace with the surging rate of demand in the US, where 2013 Leaf sales more than doubled from a year earlier to 22,610 units. In fact, in the UK, Nissan started offering incentives last month, things like free quick charging at Nissan dealerships, the ability to borrow gas-powered Nissans for free and free towing.
2014 Nissan X-Trail is the Rogue's identical twin [w/video]
Tue, 10 Sep 2013Up until now, the Rogue and X-Trail were two different compact crossovers that competed in the same segment for Nissan, except one was sold only in the US and the other Europe. So why, Nissan asked, aren't they exactly the same? Thus, with today's reveal of the redesigned 2014 Nissan Rogue, our team on the ground at the Frankfurt Motor Show also met its new identical twin, the 2014 Nissan X-Trail.
Unlike the Rogue, the former X-Trail was a boxy thing that put on the airs of an SUV, so this new look is likely a larger departure for Europeans than it is for us 'Yanks. From what we can tell comparing their press releases, these two crossovers are practically identical save for the badge on their rear liftgates, both now offering an optional third row of seating and a slew of infotainment and active and passive safety features.
The one thing that may differ between the two are the engines on offer. While we know the Rogue has a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine producing 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque, Nissan's remaining mum on what will motivate the X-Trail. The prior model offered both gas- and diesel-powered models, which we feel safe in assuming will continue (perhaps opening the door for a diesel-powered Rogue in the US some day). Nissan says we'll know more closer to the X-Trail's on-sale date, which is stated simply as being "next year," whereas the Tennessee-built Rogue will be going on sale in the US this fall.
Datsun's lackluster initial sales fall below Tata Nano
Wed, 15 Oct 2014When Tata introduced the Nano back in 2008, everyone was amazed at how cheap it was. They called it a game changer, but no game was changed. In fact, it took Tata five years to sell the 250,000 units it had the capacity to build in a single year. As it turns out, even buyers in what economists call "developing markets" like India aren't necessarily interested in buying an ultra-cheap automobile. And now it appears that Nissan may be falling into the same trap.
A little over a year ago, Nissan revived its old moniker Datsun to serve as a budget brand - similar to what ally Renault did with Dacia. Its lineup (consisting of models like the Go hatchback, Go+ minivan, On-Do sedan and Mi-Do hatch) is largely based on old architecture, packaged with little more than basic equipment and sold at rock-bottom prices. But Bloomberg reports that, even in the brand's core markets like India and Indonesia, the new Datsuns haven't been selling.
According to local industry figures, Datsun has sold fewer than 10,000 units of its $5,100 Go hatchbacks in India since its introduction back in March. Maruti Suzuki, by comparison, sells twice that many of its similarly priced Alto hatchbacks every month. In fact, after peaking in April, Datsun only sold 607 units in India this past July, dipping 77 percent to drop below even the number of Nanos which Tata sold that month.
