Manual 5 Speed Transmission, T-tops, Excellent Condition on 2040-cars
Robbinsville, North Carolina, United States
Previous lady owner stated owned from new, used summers only in Maine, garaged otherwise. Stated sides and top refinished from dings etc. I purchased at Owls Head Transportation Museum auction August 2014 and have too many cars. I'd like to keep this one if the others sell for enough money. The lady DID NOT say the timing belt was about to fly off and the clutch disc sticks, forcing the driver to shut off the engine to engage reverse. I replaced the belt and associated service items (water pump, idler pulleys, V-belts) and the clutch assembly, to a resurfaced flywheel. The photos otherwise speak for themselves, it is super clean in, out, and underneath. Brakes, engine, trans, all work like new. I believe the cruise control needs a pedal switch. Ziebart undercoated body. The shocks feel good, I can't tell if they are original. I'm hoping to at least recoup my costs, and maybe some for my trouble. Help!

2013 Nissan Leaf [w/video]
Thu, 16 May 2013If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It
Look at the 2013 Nissan Leaf - even one parked next to a 2012 model - and you'll be hard-pressed to spot the differences. Changes and updates have been made, but you have to know the details to tell. It's sort of like listening to a hipster tell you why Interpol and The National have completely different sounds.
Nissan says it didn't reinvent the Leaf because what the company has created is working. Over 25,000 Leafs have been sold in the US - 62,000 around the world - since the car went on sale in late 2010. That may not sound like a lot, but it's heads and shoulders above any other all-electric car available anywhere. The car has its detractors - boy, does it ever - but Nissan knows it's hard to argue with real-world success.
Nissan moving next-gen Murano production from Japan to Mississippi
Fri, 11 Jan 2013Celebrating 10 years of operation at its Canton, Mississippi assembly plant, Nissan has announced that it will be adding a seventh vehicle to the plant's portfolio. Starting in 2014, production of the next-generation Murano will move from Japan to Mississippi alongside its platform mate, the Altima, which is a part of Nissan's plan to build 85 percent of its US products domestically.
In addition to the Altima, the Canton facility also produces the Armada, Xterra, Titan, Frontier and NV vans, and back in June, production of the Nissan Sentra production was moved to Canton creating an extra 1,000 jobs. At this point, there is no indication about how many jobs the Murano line will add, if any.
This is the second announcement this week of production being added in the US as Honda said that the Accord Hybrid production would move to Marysville, Ohio where the standard Accord sedan is currently built.
2014 Nissan Altima gets updated equipment, prices
Thu, 08 Aug 2013The fifth-generation Nissan Altima is heading into its second year, and to mark the occasion, it's getting updated pricing, some visual and tactile enhancements and new option packages. First up are the physical changes: All 2014 Altima models will have chrome exhaust tips, revised seat cloth (when not fitted with leather) and better noise isolation. Check the option box for the new Sport Value Package, and the Altima also will come equipped with 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels, a rear spoiler and remote engine start.
But those aren't the most important updates for 2014. Nissan is showcasing the expanded functionality of its NissanConnect system, which works with Android and iPhone handsets. Applications will be introduced in the fall and launch with Google search and Facebook, later to be joined by iHeartRadio and Pandora. NissanConnect with navigation system (separate from NissanConnect applications) will be capable of running SiriusXM Travel Link for data including weather, fuel prices and movie times. In addition, there are changes to other option groups, including a revised Technology Package and a new Display Audio Package, the specifics of which can be found in the official release.
As for pricing, the changes are pretty minimal, with the base 2.5 CVT starting at $21,860 and the full-boat 3.5 SL CVT topping out at $30,660 before options and a $790 destination fee. You can compare those figures with 2013 pricing here, and see the full rundown of all the trim level prices by scrolling below.
