For auction a nice Nissan 300ZX 1992 TWIN TURBO, mechanically restored. This is original twin turbo, not a cheap conversion, so it has all the factory heavy duty options that a high power car should have; big brakes, sport suspension, bigger shaft, transmission, axles, etc. to handle higher torque and four wheel steering (4WS) this means that the rear tires steer at certain speed. This car is pretty much complete, even has the original windshield with the VIN number on it. It has all the stickers in the chassis and hood, so it has never been totaled. It's hard to come by a car this solid, but I need the money for other priorities. It has an import Japanese twin turbo engine replacement and transmission with less than 40,000 miles. The car has new silicone racing red turbo hoses and blue radiator hoses. Kenwood stereo system with the stock Bose speakers. I installed new aluminum pedals. The suspension is in good shape and the "Sport/Touring" suspension setting button still works fine. The turbos are like brand new without play in the shafts. Jackson Racing downpipes 2 1/2" inner diameter and more than half of the exhaust pipes are 3" diameter, including the brand new free flow mufflers, made of polished stainless steel and real carbon fiber, with 4" titanium look tips. The car sounds awesome!! This car will be a nice drag race track vehicle for a beginner. A bunch of vacuum lines and gasoline lines were changed in the engine swap. Tune-up done; new fuel filter, new spark plugs, fresh engine oil and filter and a couple of ignition pack changed. The A/C needs new Freon charge. Brake disk calipers with new red paint and new Brembo stickers front and rear. You could extract out of this engine 675 hp. Right now it has only 20 to 30 extra hp over the stock 300hp = 330hp, due to the exhaust system and the aftermarket air intake high flow filter. I have clear title in hand, ready to go. Call me or text me before it's too late. Priced to sell fast! Average retail price by Blue Book and NADA is $7,550.00, High retail is $10,900. Selling way under average, even though it has upgraded wheels, exhaust, intake, brakes and engine replacement. The car is locally offered for sale so I have the right to stop the auction at any time. The bad: needs the A/C condenser, and some kind of vacuum hose trouble shooting...I think I connected some wrong and the brake booster is not working properly at low speeds. Perfect option for a spare car if you have an expensive European sport car like me, or for a student to go to college.

Nissan union wants French to stop meddling with Renault alliance
Thu, Dec 3 2015Nissan is getting some unexpected reinforcements in its ongoing battle with the French government over its involvement in Renault. Its Japanese union, which has traditionally been a very hands-off entity, issued harsh criticism for the French government's attempts to assert control over its alliance partner. According to Bloomberg, this is the first time in 16 years that Nissan's union has weighed on the company's affairs, and it's stating its position on the matter in no uncertain terms. The union called France's attempt at scoring double voting rights within Renault "unacceptable and against the intended spirit of the Alliance." "We support the numerous attempts of Nissan to engage with the French government to find a balanced and constructive solution that will benefit and strengthen the Alliance," the union said in a statement obtained by Reuters. It's unclear what impact the union speaking out will have on the current power struggle between Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn (shown above) and the French government, but we doubt it'll contribute to any quicker of a conclusion. Nissan GT-R goes 183 mph on ice in Russia
Sat, 06 Apr 2013When a pair of Russian pilots wanted to set a local ice-speed record, they chose a stock Nissan GT-R for the task. Roman Rusinov, a Russian race car driver, and Andrey Leontjev, a Russian auto journalist, took Godzilla to Lake Baikal and ran it up to 294.8 kilometers per hour (182.8 miles per hour) across frozen stuff estimated to be 1.4 meters thick.
While the worldwide record of 205.48 mph was set by Juha Kankkunen in a Bentley Supersports Convertible, the mark achieved by Rusinov and Leontjev establishes a new Russian record. Well done, boys. You can watch it all go down in the video below.
Nissan recalling 13k Versa Note hatchbacks
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Nissan is recalling 13,000 of its new 2014 Versa Note hatchbacks due to an issue with various bolts used to assemble the vehicle. Considering the Versa Note was only recently put on sale, this news must be driving Nissan nuts (we couldn't resist), but presumably the lion's share of these vehicles are still at dealerships.
According to a report from The Detroit News, there are two separate issues. The first has to do with the latches for the rear seats, which include bolts that may not be strong enough to keep the seats upright in the event of a crash. The second relates to the bolts that attach the body to the undercarriage. Apparently they may not have been tightened properly, and in rare cases may be missing altogether. No injuries or accidents have been reported from either issue.
Owners are being told to report to dealers for the fixes, with notifications coming in mid-August.
