For sale a "barn find" 1985 Nissan 300 ZX Turbo! Originally a Florida car, Brought it to Wisconsin 9 years ago. It was summer driver, stored in the inside in the winters. This car is in extremely good condition for being 28 years old. Which by the way makes it collector car, which in some states means a 1 time registration! I am listing this car for a neighbor. I try to make all my listings as honest as possible, keep in mind this is not a new car. So here is the good, the bad, and the ugly-

The Good:
Originally a Florida car
This car is all factory- unadulterated
it is a every restorable car- I have no time and my interest has wained
it runs, drives, and stops- it could be a daily driver as is
V6 automatic with Turbo
new turbo- this car is extremly fast
new rear struts
brakes are in good condition
Factory ralleye
digital dash
removable T-tops (with covers)
T-Tops do not leak
Electric windows and locks
Air conditioning
Factory stereo cassette with equalizer

The Bad:
The speedometer cable needs to be replaced,, it was accidentally broken when trailoring from Florida
Passenger electric window does not operate, I think it is a switch in the door
The tires are about 50%
Factory radio does not work
Air Conditioner needs belt

The Ugly:
The car does have some rust as shown in the pictures- easily repairable
The rust is mainly on the passenger side rear wheel area
The speedometer does not work
No hatch key although there is a release by the drivers seat

2013 Nissan Juke Nismo

Tue, 07 May 2013

Scratching All The Right Itches
Say what you will about the unconventional aesthetics that Nissan employed on the company's Juke. I love the thing. The universe has no shortage of ambiguously styled CUVs, and while I can't exactly say I would have turned to the amphibian world for design inspiration had it been me with the charcoal in my hand, I can certainly appreciate the fact that the Juke isn't just another box-on-box design.
And then there's that engine. The turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder under the hood is one of the best powerplants in the company's toy box, offering plenty of low-range torque and comical levels of thrust. Hell, it even makes the optional continuously variable transmission tolerable. Praise be to the deities of forced induction. But something has always been missing from the mix. From the first moment I got my hands on the Juke, I couldn't help but think how much better the machine would be if Nissan ditched an inch or two of ground clearance and sharpened up its suspension. Think more "hot hatch" and less "Kermit goes to Kroger."

2013 Nissan Pathfinder: March 2013

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

Over the past few months, we've talked a lot about how our long-term 2013 Nissan Pathfinder functions as a daily-driver, long-hauler and all-weather warrior. And so far, it's earning high praise from most of us for being a well-rounded, pleasant vehicle in these regards. But the vast majority of people who actually go out and buy a Pathfinder will do so because of its people-and-stuff-carrying abilities. Nissan specifically engineered the new Pathfinder to be a softer, more widely appealing crossover than the sort of rugged SUV that it was before, and in doing so, the company is hoping its new CUV will find homes in the garages of many American families.
We needed to get some family impressions of the new Pathfinder, and fast.
Thing is, many of us Autobloggers live the kid-free life - at least that's true of most of us in the Detroit area where the Pathfinder currently resides. We have no doubts that the Pathfinder will get a proper family road trip workout from west coast editor Michael Harley after it shuffles over to the left side of the country, and it might also do a jaunt to North Carolina this summer with executive editor Chris Paukert and his family before it leaves the area, but in the meantime, we needed to get some family impressions of the new Pathfinder, and fast.
