Up for sale is an original 1990 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo 5 speed with a low 34,870 miles.  It's red with black leather and removable T-TOPS.  I recently purchased this from a local seller that was the original owner for the last 24 years.  This 300 ZX is as original as you get.  Original paint with no accidents and clean carfax. The interior on the car is pristine, leather shows no signs of aging and has no tears or rips.  All electronics function like factory with no issues.  A/C blows very cold and Heat blows strong with no issues.  There are no leaks, vibrations, no smoke, etc.  The car drives like what you would expect for a 34,000 mile car.  The original owner maintained the car through the dealer so I believe everything is up to date maintenance wise.   Just passed Utah smog and passed with flying colors.  Only mods done are the catback exhaust and K&N intakes, still retains the factory catalytic converters.  This has been a garage kept car all it's life so the underneath is just as clean as the top with no rust.

Because the car is 25 years old with factory paint, there are a few small scratches and chips on it.  The wing has some paint fade on it from it's age which is very common on these cars.  There is a small crack on the passenger taillight.  There is also some small scratches on the passenger quarter panel by the radio antenna.  All of these flaws have close up pictures of the defects.   Besides those flaws mentioned there are a few tiny chips on the front end of the car and a few on the doors.  Overall the car is in excellent condition and will not disappoint in person.  If you are looking for a clean unmolested Twin Turbo 300ZX to put away and enjoy on sunny days this is the car.  These low mileage examples in this condition only go up in value.  Give me a call if you are a serious buyer and have any questions about the car.  Thanks, Tim 801-205-3411

'Qashqai' so hard to pronounce even Nissan is poking fun at it

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

In the US, there aren't a lot of vehicle names that are very difficult to pronounce. Maybe the Volkswagen Touareg might trip up a few people, but by and large, we've got it pretty easy. Our friends in Europe, though, have a bigger challenge, thanks to vehicles like the Nissan Qashqai. Yes, Qashqai.
Like the Touareg, the Qashqai draws its name from a nomadic people. While Nissan isn't making up words, then, it's still not an easy name to pronounce. Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson routinely calls it a kumquat, for example. According to Nissan, though, it's pronounced "Cash'kai".
To get its point across as the second-gen Qashqai, the close cousin of the US market Rogue, prepares to launch in Australia, Nissan set up a little event at a coffee shop. Customers would place their orders, only to have the spelling of their names butchered rather badly. On the other side of the cup, there's a message from Nissan and the Qashqai.

Nissan GT-R goes 183 mph on ice in Russia

Sat, 06 Apr 2013

When a pair of Russian pilots wanted to set a local ice-speed record, they chose a stock Nissan GT-R for the task. Roman Rusinov, a Russian race car driver, and Andrey Leontjev, a Russian auto journalist, took Godzilla to Lake Baikal and ran it up to 294.8 kilometers per hour (182.8 miles per hour) across frozen stuff estimated to be 1.4 meters thick.
While the worldwide record of 205.48 mph was set by Juha Kankkunen in a Bentley Supersports Convertible, the mark achieved by Rusinov and Leontjev establishes a new Russian record. Well done, boys. You can watch it all go down in the video below.

2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid priced from $35,110*

Sat, 26 Oct 2013

Nissan has announced pricing for the 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid, which was revealed earlier this year at the 2013 New York Auto Show. Offering two- or all-wheel drive, the hybridized crossover sports a 3.5-liter V6 and a 15-kilowatt electric motor, for a total of 250 system horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque. Those numbers match up well with the 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque put out by the V6-powered Pathfinder. Naturally, fuel economy sees a hefty boost, to 25 miles per gallon in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, bumps of five and two mpg, respectively.
The Pathfinder Hybrid is available in three grades. Prices start at $35,100 for an SV and jump to $38,050 for the mid-level SL. A top-flight Platinum, meanwhile, moves the price up to $42,750. Adding all-wheel drive to the package bumps the price up to $1,600 across the range, and keep in mind that these prices don't include Nissan's $860 destination charge. Take a look below for the full press release from Nissan, including detailed pricing charts for both the Hybrid and V6 Pathfinder.
