Car was missing some A/C components. (bracket, pulley, belt) I've found and installed these this weekend, A/c compressor works, no leaks, but will need drained of R-12 and filled with 134a
Front and rear bumpers were replaced, old bumpers were cracked.

Car could use:
Seats/carpet needs some work. Drivers seat is in rough shape
Drivers side mirror is cracked, I have the replacement shell, just haven't put it on yet.
Power steering is there, needs some work, hasn't bothered me enough to mess with it yet.
Master cylinder may need replaced. Brakes work and hold but occasionally feel soft.
Drivers side power window switch needs the cap that goes on the button. Switch still works as is

Car has very little rust. Passenger side wheel well has some surface rust. Side skirts were removed and the holes where they clipped in have some small rust spots. Has been cleaned up and covered to prevent spreading.

Car is "plasti-dipped" black currently. Can be removed easily. Car is originally a dark brown.

The hood flew up and cracked the windshield at the top. The hood is dented in a coupled spots, is repairable or can be replaced. Windshield is in stock with Safelite, who will come out and replace it wherever convenient for you for $200. I have not had time to deal with that yet. There are two salvage yards in the area with hoods for this car.

I do not know much about these cars. Thus the reason for selling. I've described everything about this car to the best of my knowledge.

Nissan reveals radical BladeGlider concept for Tokyo debut

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

Radical reinvention of the automobile doesn't happen very often. There's a reason they refer to it as "reinventing the wheel", after all. But that's what a team of racecar designers did with the original DeltaWing concept in 2010. Originally proposed as an IndyCar racer, the project was subsequently redesigned for Le Mans. That's when Nissan got on board, supported the project for a few races, then took the design in its own direction with the ZEOD RC. And now it's taking it to the road... via the auto show.
What we have here is the BladeGlider concept, a proposal for a delta-shaped electric sportscar which Nissan will present at the Tokyo Motor Show in a couple of weeks. Designed to focus on driving pleasure, the BladeGlider is about as radical as they come. Like the DeltaWing and ZEOD RC, it's got a narrow front track and wide rear to minimize drag and optimize stability, packing a 1+2 seating arrangement to put the driver front and center like in a McLaren F1, with upward-swinging doors and underbody aerodynamics to keep it glued to the road. In-wheel motors (of unspecified output) provide the power, a lightweight lithium-ion battery (not to mention the carbon-fiber bodywork) keeps it all fearther-like, and weight distribution is heavily biased towards the rear at 30:70.
A radical concept, to be sure, but here's the kicker: Nissan wants to build it. As you can see from the press release below, the BladeGlider "is both a proposal for the future direction of Nissan electric vehicle (EV) development and an exploratory prototype for an upcoming production vehicle". While it would undoubtedly take some time to develop, much less certify for road, seeing one of these - or even better, driving one - on our favorite stretches of tarmac strikes us as a prospect worth waiting for.

2013 Nissan Juke Nismo is the runabout we've always wanted

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

The 2013 Nissan Juke Nismo has officially bowed at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show. Wearing a full body kit that serves up 37-percent more downforce than the standard front and rear fascias, the tuned hatchback also comes equipped with larger 18-inch wheels and a lowered suspension. Up front, LED daytime running lights join the festivities as well as contrasting side-view mirror covers and wider fender flares. Inside, buyers can expect to find a new sports steering wheel clad in Alcantara, as well as a set of Nismo seats stitched with red accents.
Nismo also cranked up the power on the Juke's turbocharged direct-injection 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. The Juke Nismo delivers 197 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, compared to the 188 hp and 177 lb-ft available in stock configuration. Buyers can have the engine with either a six-speed manual transmission or CVT gearbox, and the Juke Nismo can also be had with either all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. Check out the full press release below for more information.

UAW calls on US State Department to help with Nissan plant

Tue, 29 Apr 2014

The United Auto Workers is calling for reinforcements in its ongoing battle with Nissan at the manufacturer's Canton, MS factory, where the Altima, Armada, Titan and NV (and eventually, the next Murano) are built. The union has been attempting to organize the employees at the factory for several years, but it's been largely unsuccessful.
Now, Reuters is reporting that the UAW is teaming with the IndustriALL Global Union and requesting intervention by the US State Department, with both groups accusing Nissan of using "threats, intimidation and fear" to keep the 5,600 workers at the facility from organizing. The two unions say this violates the guidelines of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, an international organization dedicated to stimulating economic growth.
The UAW and IndustriALL are asking the State Department's National Contact Point to serve as mediator with Nissan, to make sure things play out fairly. Speaking to Reuters, though, there's at least one Michigan-based labor adviser that's skeptical of the move.
