Offered for sale is a low mileage, original condition 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo authentic 50th Anniversary Edition. This car was part of a bulk purchase of vehicles from California and is selling with NO RESERVE.
This car is all original; the paint, the interior, the correct wheels, rear window louvers. The exterior is extremely clean considering it is the original paint. No rust and very straight. The glass is all intact as well as all lights. The T-Tops are in very good condition. The wheels are clean and undamaged. The tires are very good. Overall, a very "honest" car. The interior is in excellent condition, the lone rough spot being some wer on the driver's seat side bolster. The dash is not cracked, the door panels are in excellent condition, the carpet is great. No rust in the hatch area. It does not have the original floor mats or radio. I will be installing a radio from another 1984 GLL 300ZX. The windows work. The doors have NO sag and close smooth and easy. The bodysonic sound system controls are intact. On Feb-27-14 at 19:43:46 PST, seller added the following information: Try this again! Offered for sale is a low mileage, original condition 1984 Nissan 300ZX Turbo authentic 50th Anniversary Edition. This car was part of a bulk purchase of vehicles from California and is selling with NO RESERVE. This is a really nice, all original, un-molested car. The headliner is in great condition with just a slight sag in between the T-Tops. Mechanically, the vehicle is in great condition. The motor runs strong and the transmission shifts smooth. The suspension is in good condition. The rear shocks are weak but acceptable. The front suspension is good. The digital displays all come to life when running except the fuel guage. I will be looking at that issue but do not guarantee it will be fixed. Someone not too skilled with wiring, did some work under the hood which I've started to repair. If I were keeping it for myself, I would replace the ball joints and tie rods. I will neither bore you with accolades nor apologize for this car. It is honest, original, and rare. Approximately 1500 50th Anniversary 300ZX cars were built with automatic transmissions. To answer the question, why am I selling?? I run a business. This car, while very cool, is not the type of car we deal with on a daily basis. We do not "restore" cars or deal with classics. The only work we will be doing to this car is a fresh oil change, tune up, and transmission filter and fluid change. I am selling it AS I GOT IT!! Please feel free to ask questions but be patient waiting for an answer. I will be posting more pics as I get them. The pics show the vehicle as it arrived from California. It was not washed or waxed or vacuumed. It will be professionally detailed before additional pics are posted. We will assist with shipping in every way possible. Feel free to call M-F, 8-6 Central at 414-747-9920. |

New Nissan Nismo model coming to Chicago
Wed, Feb 4 2015Nismo has been steadily growing from a niche label for JDM aficionados to a bona fide performance sub-brand for Nissan. And it will grow by one more model next week when the doors open at the Chicago Auto Show. Nissan hasn't revealed exactly what it has in store just yet, but whatever it is, it'll be an all-new model we haven't seen before. The Datsun performance studio has already given us amped-up versions of the Juke, 370Z and GT-R, offers several more versions in markets overseas and has displayed concept versions of other Nissan models as well. We're hoping that whatever Nismo has lined up for Chicago will be ready for production and available Stateside, but we'll have to wait a little while longer to say for sure.
Half of Chinese car buyers won't shop Japanese over hard feelings
Mon, May 26 2014The hard feelings between China and Japan is no real secret. Besides modern-day disputes, the two countries have had a long-running enmity that dates back to well before the atrocities of World War II. All things considered, then, it shouldn't be a shock that half of Chinese car buyers wouldn't consider a Japanese car. This survey, conducted by Bernstein Research, found that 51 percent of 40,000 Chinese consumers wouldn't even consider a Japanese car – which, again, isn't really surprising, when you consider stories like this. According to Bernstein, the most troubling thing is the location of these sentiments – smaller, growing cities where the population is going to need sets of wheels. We imagine it wouldn't be as big of an issue in traffic-clogged Shanghai or Beijing, but these small cities are going to become a major focus for automakers. "Nationalistic feelings are an impediment. [Japanese] premium brands will struggle," analyst Max Warburton wrote in a research note, according to The Wall Street Journal. Things will improve for Japanese makes, although China will remain a challenge, with Warburton writing, "the one thing that comes out most clearly is that most Chinese really want a German car. While we expect Japanese brands to continue to recover market share this year, ultimately the market will belong to the Germans." There are a few other insights from the study. According to WSJ, Japanese brands are viewed better than Korean brands, and they're seen as more comfortable than the offerings from Germany or the US, despite the fact that everyone in China apparently wants a German car. This is a tough position for the Japanese makes to be in, as there's really not a lot they can do to win favor with Chinese buyers. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, particularly as the importance of the PRC continues to increase year after year. 2014 Nissan Dayz Roox is the littlest high-roof van you ever did see
Fri, 22 Nov 2013Even average production cars from Japan often seem very conceptual to US eyes. Throw in typical, nonsensical-quasi-English-words name like "Dayz Roox" and you'd be forgiven for thinking this Nissan box on wheels was still a designer's dream. But the fact is that the Nissan Dayz is a model currently on sale, and this Roox version is the latest take on the micro-van, which is a popular segment in Japan.
In fact, this generation of Dayz is the first minicar that Nissan has developed completely in-house, and the thing has been selling astoundingly well in its first stint on the market (30k units in month one month, says Nissan). So it's unsurprising that the company is looking to expand the range with a model that is more fully featured.
The Roox (we have no clue as to where that name came from, or what it means) would appear to be a high-roof version of the three-cylinder Dayz minicar - in fact Nissan goes so far as to call it an "Impressive Super Height Wagon." Features like automatic sliding doors, Around View Monitor and UV-insulated glass are all luxuries in kei-class car. The press release also specifies that the Roox is tall enough to swallow a 27-inch bicycle.
