1984 50th Anniversary Turbo - 12000 Miles - Brand New - 1st Place Show Car on 2040-cars
Miami, Florida, United States
I reserve the right to end this listing at anytime. This is a 1 owner ( Military Pilot ), bought new at Tibbetts Nissan and always stored inside a bubble of a heated garage. Impeccably maintained with 12000 miles that has never been driven in the rain, snow, or elements. I have no doubt that this 50th would win 1st Place at any Nissan or Japanese car show event. You could still put it on a Nissan Dealer showroom floor. If you know anything about these 50th's, they are that needle in the haystack. I have the 50th gold key - unused, car cover - boxed - unused, front bra - boxed - unused, every piece of paper, manual, window sticker, accessory and order sheet that was delivered when it was new ( see pic ). Do not hesitate to reach me via phone: 305-302-4617. Flash went off in a couple of the pictures. Rest assured, there is no fading, wear, or discoloration whatsoever.
I can assist with shipping, as I have a contact in the industry. Let me know if you need a quote. It belongs in an enclosed car hauler. 1984 Datsun / Nissan 50th Anniversary 300ZX Turbo - RARE, RARE AUTO - 12000 orig. miles - MAY BE ONE OF IF NOT THE FINEST EXAMPLE IN THE COUNTRY IN THIS ORIGINAL / UNMOLESTED / RUST FREE CONDITION - NO ACCIDENTS / NO CORROSION / NO PAINT. For a Nissan purist or car collectors, it is definitely a great piece of history. Be the envy of other 300 owners when you pull up at a show. The Light Pewter metallic / Black paint shines like it was still 1984. It was Ziebarted when new. All of the moldings, handles, window glass, t-tops, lettering, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in pristine condition. The wheels have no abuse and the original Pirelli P6 tires were properly stored and are like new. It drives straight down the road with zero issues. Always hand washed / waxed with the best materials money can buy. On the inside, the Black interior still looks, feels, and smells brand new. As you can see in the pics, the seats have always been covered and the flooring is crisp / damage free. The floor mats were laid in for the pictures. The door panels, t-top bags, sun shields, dash, center console, faceplates, etc. are original and not marked. All of the interior buttons / switches - power windows, door locks, cruise, hatch release, fuel door, all digital gauges and clock keep perfect time calculations. The orig. stereo / speakers / steering controls w/ body-sonic all function. The spare tire compartment still has the orig. spare - never on the ground, inflator cannister, jack, bolts are still in place. Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as you would expect a new like car should. The engine compartment has never even been cleaned, except for wipe downs. All of the servicing is up to date - fuel injector recall, a/c, belts, hoses, coolant, thermostat, fluids all changed ( synthetic ) / maintained at the proper intervals. The timing belt was done only due to age. The Turbo engine spools out without issue at its stock 5-6psi., the tranny shifts softly, and it performs on all levels. It has never been driven hard. Of course, The a/c is blistering cold and the brakes have plenty of pad left. All of the other mechanical functions are point on. * Please note- The coating in the engine compartment is not dirt, it is the Armor guard from new. The engine has never been detailed.

Nissan releases GT-R Nismo N-Attack Package workout video at Fuji
Mon, 17 Mar 2014Nissan grabbed headlines last year when it debuted the GT-R Nismo and did a blistering 7:08.679 lap around the Nürburgring's Nordschleife. As it turns out, the GT-R that did that round made use of parts that lowered its weight and improved handling. Nissan calls the extras the N-Attack Package, which stands for Nürburgring Attack, and here is a video showing what its upcoming model can do.
The pack makes a variety of changes to make the Nismo GT-R a better handling car. The suspension and brakes are overhauled with Öhlins adjustable dampers, new stabilizer bar and new front brake pads. As you can see the outside is quite different with carbon fiber components replacing the front fenders and hood gurney, plus an adjustable carbon fiber rear wing with angle adjustments and two height settings. The interior gets a carbon fiber rear bulkhead to cut weight as well.
The release date or price for the N-Attack pack hasn't been revealed, but chief vehicle engineer Noboru Kaneko says that the test in the video at Fuji Speedway was to complete "final checks." So the package might not lag too far behind the standard GT-R Nismo. Scroll down to see the Nissan's pinnacle performance car testing on a cloudy day in Japan and read a brief press release about it.
Nissan Leaf has 2nd-best sales month ever, Chevy Volt does a 2013 repeat [UPDATE]
Tue, Apr 1 2014UPDATE: The official press release says that "Volt [sales were] up 7 percent," but Randy Fox let AutoblogGreen know that this is simply due to a change in the fleet/retail mix between March 2013 and 2014. The actual number sold was exactly the same in the two months. A month ago, Nissan's director of EV sales and marketing, Toby Perry, said he expected to see the Leaf's sales momentum continue into March. It wasn't a big leap, since January and February were slow sales months in 2013 (around 640 each) before a big climb to 2,200 in March. In 2014, the first two months of the year were better (around 1,300 each) but Nissan can still be happy that the Leaf just had the best March ever and its second-highest sales month ever, with 2,507 sold. That's a 12.1 percent increase from 2013 and Perry said in a statement to AutoblogGreen that one reason is all of the buyers who are becoming evangelists for the vehicle. "We've also seen an increase in showroom traffic as we enhanced our marketing presence in March," he said. Nissan pointed to cities like Washington, DC, Raleigh-Durham, NC and urban areas in Texas as strong Leaf markets last month. On the Chevy Volt front, January and February were also slow months in 2014, down roughly half from the 2,000-ish the plug-in hybrid was selling at the end of 2013. For 2014, sales were up slightly from the first two months of the year and Chevy spokesman Randy Fox told AutoblogGreen that the March number was "pretty flat, year-over-year." Even with that warning, we were surprised to see the total come in at 1,478. Why's that? Because the total for March 2013 was ... 1,478. So, yeah, that's pretty steady even if there were 26 selling days in March period this year compared to 27 last year. As always, our more complete report of last month's green car sales will be coming soon. News Source: General Motors, Nissan Green Chevrolet GM Nissan Electric Hybrid PHEV ev sales
Carlos Ghosn, the cost cutter who cost a lot in compensation
Mon, Nov 19 2018PARIS — In his 40 years in the auto industry, the praise Carlos Ghosn has won for turning around businesses has regularly been matched by criticism over the amount he has been paid to do it. In the latest furore over his finances, Japan's Nissan Motor Co said on Monday it planned to oust Ghosn as chairman after alleging he had made personal use of company assets, among other acts of suspected misconduct. The scandal comes just five months after the 64-year-old head of the Renault-Nissan alliance narrowly won a shareholder vote at Renault over his 7.4 million euro ($8.5 million) pay package for 2017, after losing a 2016 vote. Brazilian-born, of Lebanese descent and a French citizen, Ghosn began his career in 1978 at tire maker Michelin, before moving to Renault in 1996, where he oversaw a turnaround at the French automaker that won him the nickname "Le Cost Killer." After Renault sealed an alliance with Nissan in 1999, Ghosn used similar methods to revive the ailing Japanese brand, leading to "business superstar" status in Japan, blanket media coverage and even a manga comic book on his life. As auto markets in western Europe and Japan struggled, Ghosn championed a cheap car for the masses in emerging markets and embraced the electric vehicle before many others. He also never made it a secret that he believed there were too many carmakers in the world and consolidation would continue — in 2016 he added Japan's Mitsubishi Motors to the alliance. But in recent months, attention has increasingly turned to how the complex web of cross-shareholdings between the alliance partners might be simplified to ensure it can thrive following the eventual departure of its main architect. In March, sources close to the matter told Reuters the alliance partners were discussing plans for a closer tie-up in which Nissan would acquire the bulk of the French state's 15 percent stake in Renault. With Japan's Yomiuri newspaper reporting on Monday that Ghosn had been arrested by Tokyo prosecutors on suspicion of under-reporting his salary, the alliance's plans for the future just got more pressing.Writing by Mark PotterRelated Video: Earnings/Financials Plants/Manufacturing Nissan Renault
