2008 Mitsubishi Galant ES.

For sale is our 2008 Mitsubishi Galant ES.  This has been a great car.  We have never had any issues with it at all.  The car has been very well maintained and all routine maintenance has been kept up on.  The car has very low miles.  Only 57,104 miles.  The only reason we are selling is we just had our first baby and we need the extra funds.  This would be a great car for anyone.  This car is a great deal for anyone looking for a very reliable car for under $10,000.  The car also just received a complete detail inside and out so its comparable to what you would see on a dealership lot.  Its all ready to go!!  NADA.com shows a retail value of $10,500 for a clean 2008 Mitsubishi Galant ES with only 57,104 miles so here is our chance to save over $2,000 from what you would pay from a dealer.

Engine:

This Galant has the 2.4L MIVEC 4 cylinder engine.  The engine runs strong and smooth and has never had any issues.  Very well maintained.  This engine features 160 horsepower and gets around 30 miles per gallon.

Transmission:

This is a 4 speed automatic transmission with manual mode.  The transmission shifts perfect and is very fun to drive when you use the manual mode.

Body:

The body and paint are in good condition.  There is normal wear and tear here and there which is expected on a daily driven car but it looks very good.  There is a small ding on the driver door which can be seen in the pictures and a small one on the driver side rear bumper other than that it is very nice with no rust at all and the paint is very shiny.

Interior:

The interior is also in good shape.  Normal wear and tear to be expected however there are no rips and tears on the seats or any of the fabric at all.  The dash is in perfect condition and everything works.

Again this is a very clean car and a great deal for anyone looking for an affordable car at a great price that is very reliable.  Below is a list of options:

Air conditioning.  Cruise control.  Automatic transmission.  2.4L MIVEC engine.  Single disc cd player with MP3.  Power windows.  Power locks.  Power mirrors.  Power steering.  ABS brakes.  Side air bags.  Alloy wheels.  Daytime running lights.  Much, much more!!

Please feel free to ask any questions.  I would be happy to answer any questions you have.  Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day.

Thanks,

Dan Swanson

Mitsubishi Attrage brochure reveals additional looks, info

Thu, 23 May 2013

If you're keen to get a closer look at the upcoming Mitsubishi Attrage global sedan, we've got good news for you. A handful of brochure images have made their way to the web courtesy of IndianAutosBlog.com, complete with driveline details. The compact car looks to have its teeth set on taking a chunk out of the Nissan Versa. The Attrage will launch in Thailand with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine good for 76 horsepower coupled to either a five-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission. The combination should yield a range of around 570 miles with an 11 gallon tank. We'll save you the math: that's over 50 miles per gallon, though we wouldn't be surprised to see a more powerful, less efficient engine show up on the US-spec model. Buyers can also enjoy snazzy 15-inch alloy wheels.
Expect to find a rearview camera, push-button start, Bluetooth audio and automatic climate control indoors. This information gives us a pretty good idea of what we can expect from the car once it touches down here in the US, though final details - including powertrain - remain likely to change somewhat.

The worst rally driver you've ever seen

Wed, 14 Aug 2013

Fast cars and excellent driving skills might be the easy answers when asking how to succeed in rally racing, but after watching this video, a good teammate is obviously an important aspect of this sport, too. During the 2013 Rally of Coimbatore in India, driver Samir Thapar and his co-driver, Vivek Ponnusamy, didn't seem to be on the same page as the two attempted to navigate the course in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
We'd probably hear drastically different stories if we talked to Thapar and Ponnusamy about this particular event, but you know things are bad when "stay on road" and "turn the wheel" are commands given by the co-driver (and yes, that's a man running for his life in the screen shot shown above). As it turned out, though, it seems like the Ponnusamy was justified in his concerns to take care of the racecar. Race results show that despite winning three of the seven stages, this team ultimately ended the race with a DNF.
Scroll down to watch the video, and even though it's been edited down from almost 40 minutes to less than four, we get the idea that it wasn't a pleasant experience for driver or co-driver.

Mitsubishi Mirage bows in Montreal without a name, Canadian sales promised

Sun, 20 Jan 2013

The Detroit Auto Show had plenty of major debuts for North American car buyers, but the Montreal Auto Show is being used for the North American debut of a new subcompact hatchback from Mitsubishi. Although this car is unnamed, it is almost identical to the redesigned Mirage we saw back at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show (and has been on sale in Asian markets such as Thailand since last year), but it is unclear if the car will carry this name when it goes on sale for our neighbors to the north starting this fall.
Aside from a slightly less annoying shade the of green we saw the car painted in at the Tokyo show, there are a few changes made for the car's Canadian debut. The biggest difference is that it is almost three inches longer, which is likely a result of the new rear fascia that is also visually different with some altered lines and small, circular reflectors. Other changes include a bigger three-cylinder engine (with a 1.2-liter displacement instead of the Tokyo car's 1.0-liter engine) and headlights that have new amber lenses for side reflectors.
There is still no word as to whether or not we'll see this new car in Mitsubishi's US lineup anytime soon, but it does seem like a good competitor against cars like that Mazda2, Chevrolet Spark and Hyundai Accent.
