I am posting my well maintained Evo for sale. I am the second owner of this 2011 Evo GSR, I bought it from Lewisville Mitsubishi with only 9,000 Miles on it. The odometer is about to hit 48,000 miles.
This car was tastefully modified and was always dealer maintained. I had a Cobb stage 2 package installed, and it was tuned by Evo Dynamics in Lewisville. If I decide to keep the car, I will build it for high horsepower. List of Factory options: -4cyl Turbo, 2.0 Liter engine, Manual 5 Speed Transmission -AWD -Leather and Heated Recaro Seats -HID headlights, with demon mod installed. -Brembo Brakes Mod List: -Cobb Hard Pipe kit -Cobb Cold Air Intake w/ high flow filter -Cobb Test Pipe -Cobb Downpipe -Cobb Short Shifter -HKS Dual Exhaust (still have the Cobb Exhaust too) -Tomei Shift Knob -19" Advan Racing RG-D Wheels -Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood ($800) -Password JDM Carbon Fiber Engine Cover & Spark Plug Cover -AEM Digital Guages (Boost, A/F Ratio, Oil Pressure) Not Installed, but available: -Cobb Accessport -Cobb Exhaust -Eibach Front and Rear Sway Bar kit -Grimm Speed Boost Control -Rally Armor Mudd Guard (Red) You can go to Cobb's website to see the value of the package and parts installed on this vehicle. You can see the price of the Advan Wheels on ebay, which is cheaper than getting them direct. The price of the Seibon Carbon fiber hood on ebay. This is one of 4 cars that I own, and have used it as a daily driver for 3 years. It is one of the best cars I've owned. I hope the next owner will appreciate it as much as I did. Please text me or email me if you have any questions, I am always working and rarely have time to answer a phone call. I would like to get my asking price, with all of the extras with the car, and might throw in some of the other items as well. Thank you. My number is 214-517-2992. I have this car listed locally as well, and reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Thank you for looking. |

2023 Mitsubishi Triton pickup unveiled, rally-bound model announced
Wed, Jul 26 2023Developed for global markets, the new Mitsubishi Triton made its debut with a rugged-looking exterior design, a more modern interior and a new frame, among other improvements. The brand will show off just how tough its new truck is by entering it in a grueling rally later in 2023. Sold as the L200 in some markets, the sixth-generation Triton is new from the ground up. It's bigger than its predecessor, built on a beefier frame, and it wears a more angular design characterized by a tall, upright front end, a boxier cab, and squared-off wheel arches. Buyers can select a single, club or double cab, and the truck's exterior appearance varies significantly depending on the trim level selected. Mitsubishi's press images show a nicely-equipped trim level aimed at private users; more basic trucks designed for commercial buyers are available, too. The same applies to the interior; what you get largely depends on what you paid for. Upmarket trim levels benefit from an almost SUV-like interior with a wireless device charger, USB-C outlets, a touchscreen-based infotainment system and Mitsubishi Connect compatibility. The truck hasn't forgotten its roots, however: all of the switches and knobs were designed to be comfortably used while wearing gloves. Power for the Triton comes from a new, 2.4-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine called 4N16 internally. It's offered in several states of tune. The base engine develops 146 horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque, the mid-range version posts figures of 181 and 317, respectively, while the range-topping variant puts 201 horses and 347 pound-feet of twist under the driver's right foot. Rear-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission come standard, while four-wheel drive, a six-speed automatic transmission, or both can be added at an extra cost. Mitsubishi redesigned the suspension system with an eye on on-road comfort, though it stresses that its engineers didn't sacrifice the truck's off-road capacity. The front end carries on with double wishbones, while the back end gets lighter leaf springs and thicker shock absorbers. Several small but important changes round out the updates, including wider side steps and a repositioned engine oil pan drain plug. On sale now in Thailand, where it's manufactured, the new Mitsubishi Triton will gradually be launched in numerous global markets over the next few months. It will notably be available on the Japanese market for the first time in 12 years starting in early 2024.
Mitsubishi recalling 2011 Outlander Sport over panoramic roofs that may fly off
Tue, 02 Jul 2013The panoramic roof offered on the 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is a great way to make the cabin feel more open, but some owners of the compact CUV could get a little more openness than they bargained for. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced a recall for Outlander Sport models built between August 2010 and March 2011 due to the possibility that the panoramic roof could fly off.
On about 3,200 Outlander Sport models in the US and Puerto Rico, a potentially improper installation process could have resulted in a lack of adhesive primer between the glass and the roof, which could allow the glass to detach from the vehicle and become dangerous debris on the road. Fortunately, it sounds like there have only been two instances of detached roofs, and neither was in the US. As a fix, Mitsubishi dealers will check to make sure the primer was used, and if not, the glass will be reinstalled following the proper procedure. Scroll down for the official NHTSA recall notice.
Junkyard Gem: 1983 Mitsubishi 4WD SPX Truck
Fri, Dec 22 2023Mitsubishi began building the Forte small pickup in 1978, and Chrysler quickly started selling the Forte in North America with Dodge D-50/Dodge Ram 50/Plymouth Arrow Truck badging. Mitsubishi-badged vehicles first showed up on our shores as 1983 models, with four models available: the Cordia liftback coupe, the Tredia sedan, the Starion sports car and the Truck. Today's Junkyard Gem is one of the very first of those Mitsubishis to be sold in the United States, found in a Denver self-service car graveyard recently. This series is all about gems of automotive history, and we've got a really rare bit of Mitsubishi Motors history here with this August 1982 build date. I've documented six discarded (Mitsubishi-badged) Mitsubishis from the 1983 model year prior to now, and none had build dates earlier than January of 1983. This pickup may have been on the first shipload of new Mitsubishis to arrive at San Pedro (while the town's most legendary band was just becoming known outside of Southern California). Even my discovery of one of the very first Camrys sold in North America (in the same junkyard a few years back) isn't as cool as this. The commonly used name for all of the first-generation (1983-1986) Mitsubishi pickups is "Mighty Max," but a look through contemporary price guides (of which I have an extensive library) and Mitsubishi Motors USA's own marketing materials shows that the official name for this truck was "Truck," available in Mighty Max, Turbo Diesel and SPX sub-designations. Other Japanese manufacturers also sold vehicles named Trucks and Vans here, with the Toyota Truck (aka Hilux everywhere else in the world) being the best-known. Later on, Mitsubishi fully embraced the Mighty Max trim level as the model name for all the Forte/Triton-based pickups it sold here. For the 1983 model, the Mighty Max was the cheapest Mitsubishi Truck, sold only with 2.0-liter engine, rear-wheel-drive and four-on-the-floor manual transmission. This is a 4WD SPX with automatic transmission, the most expensive Mitsubishi Truck available in 1983. It has the 2.6-liter Astron SOHC four-cylinder engine, rated at 108 horsepower and 142 pound-feet. The Astron went into a wide variety of U.S.-market vehicles over the years, including Chrysler K-Cars and Dodge Challengers. Such luxury! The Dodge-badged version of this truck, the Ram 50, remained available all the way through the second generation of Forte and the 1994 model year.
