Hello, I'm selling my 2 door 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT with 171,100+ miles on it. NO ACCIDENTS EVER IN THIS CAR! I just received a new car for my birthday so no need for this one anymore. Has done me good though while I had it :) Has a clean title. It's a stick shift 5 speed and includes low profile 17" tires that were put on about 3,000 miles ago. Has an Injen cold air intake system, Tein coil overs, a custom Dupont Hot Rod Black paint job (no clear coat for nicer look), tan leather seats (front and back seats), sunroof, spoiler, Greddy racing clutch, nice black rims, tinted windows, key lock gas cap, car cover, 4 disc CD changer, moon roof, Shaved Door Handles (doors opens by remote), 2 sets of remotes & keys, electronic driver seat & electric windows, body kit with some carbon fiber, also carbon fiber on door handles inside, no warning lights are on in this car including check engine. Engine runs well. I changed the oil about 1,500 miles ago and it has been done on the car every 2,500 miles. I know the previous owner well and this car has only had 3 total owners including myself. I had the timing belt changed on the car 5 months ago about 3,000 miles ago, clutch flush done 2/8/2014. The two front wheel hub assemblies were replaced 3 months ago, and I had an oil leak fixed on it few months back. Shifts smooth, drives nice! I will only accept cash in person OR to personally meet you at local bank of your choice to PERSONALLY see you get a cashiers check or loan made out to me so I can verify its authenticity. NO OTHER METHODS EXCEPTED! Don't show up with a check already made out, I won't accept it. Has to be done AT THE BANK! Scammers beware, I won't tolerate your silly messages/calls! If you are local and would like to see it call me: 321 262 1523

****What's wrong on it you ask?******
The A/C doesn't work (needs compressor) I bought it like that and never really needed to use A/C in this car (to save gas) so it's up to you if you want to fix it but the weather in FL is nice enough to drive with windows down until you get it fixed. Heater works fine. There is a little bit of body damage to the side fender and side skirt on driver side (from speed bump). I had the car raised up a few inches since then to prevent further damage. Tein coil overs are awesome (keys included)! But its not that noticeable if you want to wait to get it fixed, doesn't effect the performance of the car.

Why a Renault-FCA merger could be good news for Nissan, Mitsubishi

Fri, May 31 2019

TOKYO — Nissan's advanced technologies including platforms and electric powertrains could give it leverage in a merger involving Renault and Fiat Chrysler, thanks to a royalty system it has with the former, two people with knowledge of the matter said. A merged Renault-Fiat Chrysler could face an extra hurdle each time it uses technology developed by Nissan or Mitsubishi Motors, while the two Japanese automakers stand to gain a client in Fiat Chrysler (FCA), one of the people said. Both sources declined to be identified because of the sensitivity of the matter. Nissan's technology, particularly in electrification and emissions reduction, could give it some sway in the $35 billion potential tie-up between Renault and FCA, even as its stake in the newly formed company would be diluted. Currently Renault SA pays less for technology developed by Nissan than the Japanese automaker pays for French technology, a third person said. This has long been a sticking point for Nissan, and an area where Nissan could seek more favorable terms. "Whenever Nissan transfers platform, powertrain or other technology to Renault, there is a margin or royalty which Renault has to pay for use of that tech," one of the people said. "In that sense, FCA, if everything went well, would become another 'client' of ours and that's good. More business for us." A Nissan spokesman declined to comment on its royalty system. The potential Renault-FCA deal has complicated the Japanese automaker's already uneasy alliance with Renault. A further deal with Fiat Chrysler looks likely at least in the near term to weaken Nissan's influence in the 20-year-old partnership. Renault owns a 43.4% stake in Nissan and is its top shareholder. Nissan holds a 15% non-voting stake in Renault and would see that diluted to 7.5% after the FCA deal, albeit with voting rights. The imbalance between the two has long rankled Nissan, which is by far the larger company. Alliance imbalance Renault had previously angled for a merger with Nissan but has been rebuffed by CEO Hiroto Saikawa. Securing benefits from the merger deal will be important for Saikawa, who is grappling with poor financial performance while he struggles to right the company after the ouster of former chairman Carlos Ghosn last year.

Mitsubishi refreshes the Triton truck for 2019

Fri, Nov 9 2018

In September, Mitsubishi showed a teaser image of the new, redesigned Triton/L200 truck that refreshes the model originally introduced in 2014. Now, the new truck is here, except not here in the sense of being sold in the United States. Alas, we can hope. The new Triton/L200 is a global truck in the sense that it'll be sold in some 150 countries around the world, from Europe to Africa and Oceania, the Middle East and Latin America, but North America isn't part of the plan. Sales start Nov. 17 in Thailand, where the truck is built. Some 180,000 global yearly sales are planned. Looking at the photos released by Mitsubishi, the truck's nose has gained the new corporate styling direction that can also be seen on the Outlander, the Eclipse Cross, and even the re-facelifted Lancer that is sold in some countries. The front design is called "Dynamic Shield" in corporate Mitsubishi language, pointing to the more pronounced grille-intake combo with chrome effect. Otherwise, the basics of the Triton remain as before, with the truck likely to keep the time-honored 4G64 2.4-liter gasoline engine and two inline four diesel options. There are two 4WD systems on offer, either Super Select or Easy Select. Like we said in September, the small truck segment is hotly contested in the U.S. right now, and the Triton, were it sold in the States, would compete against the Tacoma, the Colorado and the Canyon, the Ford Ranger, and a possible Ram truck that would slot underneath the 1500. But the 25 percent Chicken Tax it's subjected to as a foreign-built truck makes it impossible to compete. The currently sold Ranger T6 is originally of Australian design, and as well as being made in Michigan it is also produced in Thailand like the Triton. Related Video:

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Luggage Test | Three rows, two tests!

Thu, Jan 13 2022

Well, this is a first. Normally, three-row vehicles are so enormous that doing a luggage test with the third row lowered is a total "no kidding" proposition. I'd run out of stuff in my garage long before I'd fill up a Kia Telluride. As such, I only test the space behind the raised third row of three-row SUVs because that can actually be some useful information. The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is not a typical three-row SUV, however. It's one of only two SUVs in the compact segment, along with the Volkswagen Tiguan, that offers a third-row seat. As I've already demonstrated, it's not much a seat, but its presence and the need to accommodate it does mean the Outlander has one of the largest cargo volumes in the compact segment.  As such, what we're getting here is the first Double Luggage Test© whereby I'll be treating the Outlander like both a compact SUV and a three-row one, testing it with both the third row raised and lowered. Right!? Pretty damned exciting.  Test 1! Here's what you get with third row raised. On paper, Mitsubishi says this is 11.7 cubic-feet, which is indeed the smallest three-row number I've come across while luggage testing. Congratulations Cadillac XT6, you're no longer last! Wait, hold that thought ... Thanks to those comically tall head restraints and the Outlander's D pillar shape, I could actually safely place the fancy bag on top without it flying forward or excessively blocking rearward visibility (the two reasons I don't load to the roof in these tests). You can see that visibility below right. Below left you can see the 12.6-cubic-foot Cadillac XT6, which could not fit the fancy bag as such (though, obviously, you could fit something). So, sorry XT6, you're in last again. Mwa mwa.  Ah, but what about under-floor space. There's indeed some available. It houses the cargo cover encased in a foam mold that also houses those comically tall headrests when not in use. Remove it all, and there is a decent amount of extra space unearthed, which could theoretically free up some extra space if you left the rigid floor open. That's not the same as vehicles like the Honda Pilot and Kia Telluride, though, which more obviously intend you to use the under-floor space in such a manner.  Test 2! With the third-row lowered and the second-row reclined to a natural position, this is the space available. The specs say it's 33.5 cubic-feet, which falls short of the class-leading Honda CR-V (39.2), Toyota RAV4 (37.5) and Hyundai Tucson (38.7).
