Before I begin, do not ask me for less money..The vehicle is WORTH double what im asking, I am just selling it for what I know I can realistically get for it.. This is a $5,000-6,000 car bone stock and we all know, most that buy these, dont keep them bone stock for long.
For sale I have my 1999 Eclipse gst spyder. I bought the car 100% stock from a dealer for $6,000 for the sole purpose of having a stock un molested car to build. (have photos of the car in stock form off the lot as well as the ebay ad description of the car before I bought it) I have over $35,000 in parts receipts alone for the car and about $10,000-12,000 in labor receipts not including friends helping out.. Also not including the $6,000 retail paint job I traded my Ducatti motorcycle for.. I also have the original receipt from the dealer for $6,000 & a copy of the craigslist ad for $2,500 that I spent JUST on a GSX donor car to perform the All wheel drive conversion. The cars condition out of a 1-10 is a 10 inside and out, the car is 100% flawless... There is not a single scratch, ding dent and ABSOLUTELY no rust.. Strut towers are flawless as seen in pictures and the undercarriage is in unbelievable shape. All parts are brand new and have less then 5 miles on them or less shell has only 106k miles on it parts list are as follows - Bottom end - 2.3 stroked 6 bolt Eagle H beam rods un-cut 4g64 crank ARP high tinsle main studs ARP head studs Mahle 10:1 forged pistons Mahle tru-seal hi comp rings Metal Gasket & Felpro engine set Block blasted, balance shafts eliminated, centerlined engine Top end - 6 bolt head big port and polish job Kelford 280 cams Supertech 1mm oversized valves Buschur racing dual valve springs Buschur racing titanium retainers Ferrea Valve seal kit JMF race version sheet metal intake manifold JMF s90 70mm Throttle body Turbo related - Forced Performance HTA86 dual ball bearing turbo Tial Q blow off valve DNP tubular manifold precision 46mm Wastegate custom dump tube Apexi front mount intercooler Custom made charge piping custom made intake with AEM filter Turbosmart dual stage boost controller with high/low boost Clutch related - ACT Race twin disc ACT prolite AWD flywheel short throw shifter Fuel related - Fic 1650cc injectors single fuel lab 1500hp fuel pump Summit racing 16 gallon plastic fuel cell fuelab fuel pressure regulator stainless fuel lines earls plumbing fuel filter jaz products in line fuel filter Electronics/computer related - DSM ECM link v3 eprom'd ecu AEM digital wideband AEM digital boost gauge AEM digital oil pressure gauge Fuel level gauge for fuel cell Other - Custom GM ZR1 Jet stream blue color change paint job custom NHRA spec roll cage with removable door bar kit on drivers side for street use custom made front exit exhaust Black ebay racing seats 4 pt harness' 6000k hid head lights trunk relocated battery with battery holder double din DVD player custom powdercoated 17" ASA wheels VIS evo carbon fiber hood Tanabe lowering springs The car starts runs and drives under its own power, but needs to finish being tuned. I have brought this car 4 times to be tuned and have spent $1,500+ every time whether it be for bigger injectors, ran out of fuel pump, needing a bigger intercooler, ext... The vehicle made 400awhp at only 13 pounds of boost.. I have spent 2 years and more then $50,000 on this car and enough is enough, I have completely lost interest. I am in the process of supercharging my viper and just purchased a 360 ferarri so the dsm is the furthest thing from priority.. With a finished tune, this car is gaurenteed to put down over 700AWHP and be in the 9 second quarter mile range. The price is 100% firm, if it doesnt sell, ill part out the vehicle and sell the shell for half what im asking for everything To view a video of the car running go to youtube and type in "CUSTOM 2.3 stroker HTA86 2G ECLIPSE GST SPYDER AWD CONVERTED!" no expense was spared with this build and only the best of the best have touched this car which I will be more then happy to put you in contact with. Junkyard Gem: 1995 Mitsubishi Diamante Station Wagon
Tue, Apr 4 2017Chrysler sold Dodge- and Plymouth-badged Mitsubishis in the United States starting in the early 1970s, but it wasn't until the 1983 model year that Mitsubishi sold cars under their own name on this side of the Pacific. The Diamante made its American debut for the 1992 model year, but it proved unable to steal many sales from the likes of Lexus and Infiniti and not many were sold. Sure, it was big and comfortable, but SUV and minivan sales soon squeezed most wagons out of the American marketplace. Here's a rare '95 station wagon, spotted in a California yard recently. 240,664 miles on the clock, which is much higher than the not-very-trashed interior might suggest. The owner or owners of this car got their money's worth out of it. The 6G72 3.0-liter V6 went into Chrysler minivans, Mitsubishi 3000GTs, and many members of the extended Chrysler K-Car family; production of this versatile engine continued well into our current century. This one was rated at 175 horsepower. Technically, this isn't a Japanese car, since the Diamante wagons were built in Australia. Rumor has it that some 5-speed Diamante wagons were sold in the United States, but I have never seen one. 1995 was the last year for the Diamante wagon in the United States, and the Camry and Accord wagons soon got the axe as well. Meanwhile, Japanese-market Diamante ads got roaring engines, macho voiceovers, and dramatic music. Lexus tops JD Power Vehicle Dependability Study again, Buick bests Toyota
Wed, Feb 25 2015It shouldn't surprise anyone, but Lexus has once again taken the top spot in JD Power's Vehicle Dependability Study. That'd be the Japanese luxury brand's fourth straight year at the top of table. The big news, though, is the rise of Buick. General Motor's near-premium brand beat out Toyota to take second place, with 110 problems per 100 vehicles compared to Toyota's 111 problems. Lexus owners only reported 89 problems per 100 vehicles. Besides Buick's three-position jump, Scion enjoyed a major improvement, jumping 13 positions from 2014. Ram and Mitsubishi made big gains, as well, moving up 11 and 10 positions, respectively. In terms of individual segments, GM and Toyota both excelled, taking home seven segment awards each. The study wasn't good news for all involved, though. A number of popular automakers finished below the industry average of 147 problems per 100 vehicles, including Subaru, (157PP100), Volkswagen (165PP100), Ford/Hyundai (188PP100 each) and Mini (193PP100). The biggest losers (by a tremendous margin, we might add) were Land Rover and Fiat, recording 258 and 273 problems per 100 vehicles. The next closest brand was Jeep, with 197PP100. While the Vehicle Dependability Study uses the same measurement system as the Initial Quality Survey, the two metrics analyze very different things. The VDS looks at problems experienced by original owners of model year 2012 vehicles over the past 12 months, while the oft-quoted IQS focuses on problems in the first 90 days of new-vehicle ownership. Like the IQS, though, the VDS has a rather broad definition of what a problem is. Because of that, a low score from JD Power is no guarantee of extreme unreliability, so much as just poor design. In this most recent study, the two most reported problems focused on Bluetooth connectivity and the voice-command systems. The former leaves plenty of room for user error due to poor design (particularly true of the Bluetooth systems on the low-scoring Fords, Volkswagens and Subarus), while the second is something JD Power has already confirmed as being universally terrible. That makes means that while these studies are important, they shouldn't be taken as gospel when it comes to automotive reliability. Carlos Ghosn's new lawyer, 'the Razor,' starts slashing
Wed, Feb 20 2019TOKYO — Carlos Ghosn's new lawyer took aim at Nissan, prosecutors and courts on Wednesday, dismissing the charges against the ousted chairman as an internal company matter and saying Japan was out of step with international norms by keeping his client in jail. "This should have been dealt with as an internal matter," Junichiro Hironaka, nicknamed the Razor, said at his first press briefing. Ghosn, who was arrested in November over alleged financial misconduct and remains in detention in a Tokyo jail, picked a new team last week with long-time defense attorney Hironaka as a key member to replace Motonari Otsuru, a lawyer who once ran the prosecutor's office investigating him. Hironaka's combative style contrasts with the low-key approach adopted by media-shy Otsuru. Ghosn's switch to an aggressive legal strategy came after his attempts to win bail failed and just before lawyers were due to sit down with prosecutors and judges for the first time to hash out a schedule for pre-trial discovery meetings, where prosecutors will reveal evidence and submit a list of witnesses. Hironaka said he didn't know why Ghosn picked him, but added that Ghosn probably wanted an experienced criminal lawyer as the case moved toward trial. The 73-year-old defense attorney is reputed for winning high profile cases, including the acquittal of a senior lawmaker, Ichiro Ozawa, on financial misconduct charges. He also helped free a senior bureaucrat Atsuko Muraki who was jailed for four months on corruption charges fabricated by prosecutors. Yet, even with greater legal firepower the former Nissan Motor Co boss faces a criminal justice system where only three out of every 100 defendants pleading not guilty are acquitted. Neither does Japan have a plea-deal mechanism that would allow Ghosn to agree to lesser charges for a lighter sentence. "The change in lawyers means a change in style, but the legal strategy will still be the same. I don't think it increases Ghosn's chance of an acquittal," said Masashi Akita, a defense lawyer at Shin-Yu Law Office in Osaka, ahead of Wednesday's comments by Hironaka. Ghosn has lost his perch atop an automotive alliance trio of French carmaker Renault SA and Japanese automakers Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors Corp. Attempts to win bail, including an offer to wear a GPS ankle bracelet and hire security guards to stop him trying to tamper with evidence, failed.
