2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gs Sport Coupe 2-door 2.4l on 2040-cars

2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS Sport
Condition: This has been a great car and has been meticulously cared for. Garage kept and shows zero signs of wear. It has never been smoked or eaten in. It still looks and smells brand new. Washed once a week and waxed once a month. Most of the miles are highway miles on my commute to work but it doesn't show any signs of it. All of the oil changes have been done at the dealership where I work.
Options:
The car has been lowered conservatively on Tein H-tech springs. The ride height is more flush but it hasn't lost any comfort. They have also resulted in a more stable ride. There is also a brand new drop in K&N engine air filter. The interior lights and license plate lights have been swapped to LED for a cleaner look. I have installed HID 5K headlights that are much brighter and safer than the stock bulbs. Still has factory warranty and runs and drives perfectly. The car has zero issues and is a great sporty car. It is north star white with a grey interior. The racing style seats hug your body and have a subtle, red background. It has the sport style front bumper with a blacked out center. The wheels are 18' premium wheels with a grey and machined finish. The tires are in great condition Great car, very well taken care of, garage kept, always parked in the back of the parking lot. There is currently a loan on the vehicle so the title will take a few days to be switched over from the bank. Miles will vary because it is still being driven (Currently 34,xxx miles). Please message if you have any other questions or request pictures. I am happy to take more pictures and close ups. Cash, cashier check or paypal only. A $500 deposit is due immediately upon purchase |

2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Practice Day 4
Fri, 28 Jun 2013The fourth and final practice day of the 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is complete. Tomorrow everyone will make any last-minute adjustments and get their cars, their bits and bobs lined up in the pits for Sunday morning's this-time-it-counts run.
The Unlimited runners took on the top section of the course today, Sébastien Loeb and his big-mouth Peugeot acing the practice test again with a time of 2:11. Rhys Millen's team proved its got the engine issues of two days ago in the Hyundai PM580T sorted out, posting the next-best time at 2:27.16. The reason we had to dip all the way into the hundredths for his time is because he nipped Romain Dumas by just .31 of them, the Frenchman in the Norma M20FC PP running the course in 2:27.47. In fourth came the Frenchman in the monster Mini, Jean-Philippe Dayraut six seconds back at 2:33.
Time Attack competitors, also on the upper section, were led by Paul Dallenbach in the Hyundai Genesis Coupe with a time of 2:36, Porsche pilot Jeff Zwart crossing the line six seconds later at 2:42, fellow Porsche driver David Donner coming in another six seconds back at 2:48. Dallenbach has topped three of the four practice-day sessions, sliding into the second spot behind Donner only on Practice Day 2.

Junkyard Gem: 1990 Mitsubishi Montero
Sun, Jun 23 2019Americans had been buying Mitsubishi-made pickups (badged as Plymouth Arrows and Dodge Ram 50s) for the better part of a decade when the Americanized version of the Pajero SUV appeared in American Mitsubishi showrooms. Naturally, there was a Dodge-badged version as well (known as the Raider), but finally Americans could buy a bouncy, off-road-capable SUV with big Mitsubishi badges all over it. The first-generation (1985-1991) Monteros have become quite rare, but I found this high-mile example in a Denver yard a few weeks back. You won't often see a late-1980s/early-1990s Mitsubishi with more than 200,000 miles on the clock, but Monteros held their value longer than Mighty Maxes and Mirages. I couldn't find any meaningful rust on this one, but the interior looked pretty tired. Under the hood we find the ubiquitous 3.0-liter 6G72 V6 engine, which found its way into everything including Chrysler minivans, Mitsubishi Diamante luxury sedans and even 1990s Hyundai Sonatas. Mitsubishi got its money's worth out of this engine, which stayed in production from 1986 through 2011 (in China). Most of the early Raiders and Monteros I've found in junkyards had manual transmissions, but this one shows the direction American SUV buyers were headed in 1990: two pedals, no shifting. It still lacks the dozen cupholders of later US-market trucks, of course. The Montero name went on Pajeros sold in North and South America, while UK-market trucks got Shogun badging. This beefy grab bar for the front-seat passenger suggests the kind of rugged driving environments not much like the highway commutes now used by SUVs in North America.
