If you have been looking for a sharp Mitcubishi Eclipse with low miles and fully loaded then you are going to LOVE my 2008 SE model with all the options including the 263hp V-6, GT Sport suspension, sun & sound package and Premium Sport Package! This SE has it all and it is like new inside and out. The SE model is the top of the line Eclipse, some have the small 4cyl engines but this one has the GT 263hp V-6 engine with the GT's sport suspension and it also has the Premium Sport Package which includes the body kit for a really sporty look. The Sun & sound package includes a power sunroof and the wonderful Rockford Fosgate 650 watt with sub and 6-cd that is all the stereo you will ever need. This Eclipse is fully loaded and like new inside and out. It has a clean Autocheck report showing no accidents or problems and received a great score of 86 points out of an average rating of between 70-83 points so you know it has a great history as well. And being a true Florida car there is NO rust and even the underside still looks near new, look at the underside picture I took, very clean! It was traded in at our local Chevrolet dealership here in Ft. Myers in this shape. The exterior looks wonderful with a deep Mitsubishi shine with no dents, scrapes, fade or rust. The factory 18" aluminum wheels shine like new with just a bit of curb rash on the front driver's wheel from drive thru's. What a stereo, you will NEVER need to upgrade it! With the GT package you also get traction control and cool polished aluminum pedals. There are also dual front and side air bags. This car really is loaded up with options. What a fun car to drive. The peppy V-6 runs smooth as silk and should with only 74k miles and it is all stock and not raced in any way. It will deliver 25mpg on the highway as well. The automatic transmission can be shifted manually if you are in the mood, it has a side sport mode. The brakes are powerful and smooth as is the transmission and suspension with no shakes or rattles. And what a great handling car. Spectator killed in seventh stage of Dakar Rally

Not surprisingly, tragedy has struck at the Dakar Rally this year. A vehicle hit a spectator in the seventh stage of the rally on Saturday, along the stretch between Uyuni, Bolivia, and Salta, Argentina. Running in 52nd place, the Mitsubishi Lancer driven by French contestant Lionel Baud hit a 63-year-old spectator. Emergency medical personnel responded to the accident, only to declare the man dead on the scene. This was the second time a competing vehicle collided with spectators in this year's event. During the Prologue stage a week ago, Guo Meiling drove her Mini into a crowd of spectators, injuring eleven – including a father and son who were hospitalized in critical condition. This is the first time, however, that a death occurred as part of the rally since 2013, when a support vehicle collided with two taxis in Peru and killed two. Though still in progress, this year's rally has been dominated thus far by the Peugeot team. All but the opening Prologue stage have been won by the French team, with Sebastien Loeb winning three out of six full stages run so far. His teammate Stephane Peterhansel has won another two, while Carlos Sainz won the tragic seventh stage on Saturday. Following Sunday's rest day, there remain another six stages before the rally concludes in Rosario on January 16.

Angry dad smashes son's Mitsubishi with Xbox

It's normal for parents to get frustrated with their kids sometimes. Moms and dads have high hopes for the success of their brood, and when the youngsters let them down, it hurts. That's not an excuse to be destructive, though. Especially not to the point of destroying a Mitsubishi Montero Sport with an Xbox 360 like in this video.
The clip claims to be about a dad upset that his kid doesn't have a job and stays home playing video games. The guy takes his anger out not just on the console but also his son's car. The Mitsubishi definitely takes its fair share of the punishment here even after the Xbox is broken.
If this were real, it would be a pretty horrifying fight to watch. But while we can't be entirely certain, we're almost positive that this argument is completely staged for a number of reasons. The major one is that the same uploader also has videos with millions of total views of the same "Psycho Dad" dropping an Xbox in a pool, running over games with a lawn mower and taking an axe to a laptop. Furthermore, just looking at the clip itself, people don't generally wait for the other person to stop talking when yelling at each other. It also seems a bit suspicious that the kid directly speaks to the audience at one point.

Mitsubishi ready to pull Evo's plug

We have all manner of unofficial metrics in the auto industry. No doubt you've heard some of them, like the butt dyno. Another popular measure is the smiles-per-dollar index - how entertaining is a car versus its price. Cars like the Mazda MX-5 Miata, Scion FR-S and Mini Cooper S, for example, score quite highly, while vehicles like the BMW M5 or Audi RS7 are great to drive, but score lower because of their much higher price tags. For a long time, the king of the smiles-per-dollar index was arguably the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, which blended hair-raising thrills for the price of a well-equipped Ford Fusion Titanium.
Now, it looks like the Evo will need to hand over its title, as this generation of the rally-derived rocket is likely to be Mitsubishi's last - at least for a while. There's been no mention of just when production of the current car will end, so if you're in the market, we'd suggest trying to find a dealer with inventory ASAP. The news comes from the automaker's Japanese mothership, which says the brand will instead focus on utility vehicles and EVs. While there are no direct plans for a successor, an Evo XI as it were, the door remains open for a different kind of beast, according to Mitsubishi.
"Mitsubishi Motors does not have any plans to design a successor with the current concept, as a high-performance four-wheel drive gasoline-powered sedan," said Namie Koketsu, a spokesperson for Mitsubishi, according to Automotive News. "Mitsubishi Motors will explore the possibilities of high-performance models that incorporate electric vehicle technology."
