I am listing this car for a friend who is getting ready to start a family and needs something more practical. She bought this car from her Mother-In-Law who was the first owner. She purchased the car from her Mother-In-Law when the car only had 20,xxx miles on it. She has taken excellent care of this car. It has been her baby since she purchased it. She has maintained all scheduled maintenance and kept the exterior and interior in pristine condition. It has a few scrapes on one of the rims and a few rock chips on the roof and both have been displayed in the pictures. She did get in a little fender bender accident about 18 months ago but the damage was very minor. Only thing replaced was the rear bumper cover and tail light. Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is world's first production plug-in hybrid CUV [w/video]
Fri, 28 Sep 2012Though Mitsubishi first showed us the form of its 2013 Outlander in Geneva a while back, the company saved its plug-in hybrid crossover for this week's Paris Motor Show soiree.
Mitsubishi is quite proud to offer what it says is the world's first production PHEV utility vehicle, a new model that makes use of established technologies within the company. Learnings from the company's i-MiEV electric car have worked there way into a vehicle that can travel up to 55 kilometers (34 miles) on lithium-ion battery power. Two electric motors independently power the front and rear wheels of the Outlander, while the gasoline-powered engine can be used as a generator for the motors, or to power the vehicle directly. The target combined fuel economy for the Outlander PHEV is 61 km/liter, or roughly 143 miles per gallon.
The Outlander PHEV will be introduced in the Japanese market in the first part of 2013, with European and North American markets to follow on. There is no word about an on-sale date, but while you're pondering the possibilities, check out an official video by scrolling down and peruse our high-res image gallery.
Our best look yet at the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander
Sat, 08 Nov 2014Mitsubishi's has been busily clawing its way back from the brink of irrelevancy in the US market for several years. One of its most important models in that mission is the Outlander CUV, and as we can see from these spy photos, it's upcoming refresh is coming along nicely.
The Outlander was last redesigned for model year 2014, so it does feel a smidge early for a refresh. That said, thanks to a rather polarizing front fascia, we aren't totally surprised that Mitsu has gone to work so soon. Based on these spy shots, we wouldn't be totally surprised if the new Outlander borrowed the more attractive face of Outlander PHEV Concept-S, which was shown back in September during the Paris Motor Show.
It's impossible to tell if the rear of the car will borrow the huge, vehicle-spanning taillights of the Concept-S, but like the front end, we'd expect a fairly significant change to the back of the new Outlander. Our spies also captured a few shots of the cabin, although we don't see any dramatic differences from the current vehicle, aside from some different trim pieces.
