This is a one of a kind custom car that has been professionally built and maintained.  All mechanical and electrical work has been in my shop by ASE Master Certified Technicians.  This car has 61k original miles however many of the parts have much less due to upgrades.  All fluids have been changed on or before their factory recommended intervals.  The car has a clean title, NO accidents, no rust, and has rarely seen the rain.  There are no fluid leaks and the car runs like new.  The car is stored in my garage (in a smokefree environment) with a battery tender to keep battery at peak charge and the engine is run twice a month during the winter months to help keep the seals in wet and in prime condition.

The Eclipse has been in the DUB Show, HIN, and many, many others.  You can find clips of her on Youtube under Hot Import Nights Minneapolis.

The custom wide body, paint and body molding designed and installed by ABCD.  (Auto Body Cosmetic Designs)  Door handles, factory water lines, rear wiper, and antenna have been shaved.  The interior panels, seats, trunk and dash have been leather wrapped by Apollo Interior Trim Works.  Original carpet was removed and custom color matched carpet installed.

Interior has been dynomatted for stereo system and custom sub box was made with the proper dimensions for the subs to produce the best sound possible.

The following is a list of modifications done to the Eclipse.  Although some I have probably forgotten over time, this is the just of them.

A lot of time, thought and money has been spent on this car.

I am selling the car simply because I do not have the time to enjoy it.  It has been in the garage most of the past 2 years.  I want this car to go to someone who will appreciate the car as I have.  Serious inquiries only please.  I have a very low reserve on this car compared to what I have invested.  Please do not message asking for the reserve price as I will not respond.  I will however respond to reasonable questions.  Buyer assumes all responsibility for the cost of shipping or transporting of the vehicle. Thank you for looking and happy bidding.

A pair of Mitsubishis, the Mazda CX-30 and electric incentives | Autoblog Podcast #673

Fri, Apr 9 2021

This week's Autoblog Podcast features Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore and Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski as they debate the merits of the redesigned Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86 coupes and whether or not they are distinctive and powerful enough to attract buyers. The duo spends some time discussing ongoing EV and infrastructure legislation before turning their attention to a trio of crossovers. Greg muses about the 2021 Mazda CX-30 before Jeremy talks about the refreshed 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and completely redesigned Outlander. We get nostalgic as we remember the dearly departed Pontiac GTO before wrapping the podcast up by making one more suggestion to a longtime listener who is shopping for a vehicle to replace her aging Honda Pilot. 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Quick Spin

Thu, Oct 22 2015

The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is not new. It is also not sporty. Despite it all, the Outlander Sport is selling better than ever. Between 3,000 and 5,000 people take one of these crossovers home each month. That's good for Mitsubishi, a company clinging to life in the US market. But the Outlander's sales are a mere blip; that's about a week's worth of handshakes and signatures on Ford Escapes, at best. Until new product arrives, this is the stuff Mitsubishi has on the ground to sell, and the company has said it's committed to sticking around. That means I got to spend some time recently with a 2015 Outlander Sport SE with AWC (All-Wheel Control – you know, all-wheel drive). There are updates and changes for 2015, including an available 168-horsepower, 2.4-liter engine for ES and GT models, revised CVT, LED running lamps, thicker glass, better sound insulation, and electric power steering. But because I drove an E, I was locked into the 2.0 liter engine. It's the 4B11, a version of the GEMA engine, co-developed with Hyundai and DaimlerChrysler back in the Cretaceous. Driving Notes The most amazing thing I found after a week with the Outlander Sport is that it can bend the laws of physics. This is not a compact crossover so much as it's a time machine. Swing that door shut, and every trip takes place in 2008. Styling is pretty good. There's not a bad line on the Outlander Sport. It sits right on its relatively short wheelbase, and looks good doing it. I had low expectations for the powertrain. Most of my GEMA engine experienced comes from time with the Jeep Compass and Patriot, which are horrific NVH factories. Mitsubishi's version of this engine is more refined, and has a healthy 148 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. The CVT has been revised to mimic the action of a seven-speed transmission. Why bother? The simulacrum doesn't hold. It's the typical 70/30 CVT split: unobtrusive 70 percent of the time, slippy and weird the other 30 percent. That same 70/30 split applies to on-road behavior. Most of the time, the Outlander Sport drives decently. Those other times, it just wants you to chill. Structural rigidity isn't up there with the segment leaders. Road noise is still higher than I'd have liked. This car has the single worst infotainment system I have ever experienced. Totally refused to pair with my phone, ever. This is not an isolated case for a Mitsu with this headunit.

nuTonomy beats Uber to launch first self-driving taxi

Thu, Aug 25 2016

In the cutthroat world of technology, if you're not first, you're last. With this in mind, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see tech companies and automakers clawing to be first in line to release self-driving cars. Uber recently partnered with Volvo in a $300-million project that should result in a self-driving fleet as early as next month. But amazingly, a 3-year-old company called nuTonomy has beat Uber to the punch by launching the world's first self-driving taxi in Singapore. Cambridge, MA,-based nuTonomy has been privately testing self-driving vehicles in Singapore since April and is now allowing select residents in the city's one-north business district to be driven around in its self-driving taxis for free. Customers will be able to summon one of nuTonomy's self-driving taxis through the company's app and will be picked up in a Renault Zoe or Mitsubishi i-MiEV electric car modified for autonomous driving. While the taxi will drive itself, an engineer from nuTonomy will ride in the vehicle to ensure that the car is operating properly and will take over if needed. There's no word on how many self-driving taxis nuTonomy put on the road, but the trials take the company one step closer to launching its fully autonomous fleet by 2018. The Wall Street Journal's Jake Watts managed to get a ride in one of nuTonomy's self-driving taxis and, while it went well, he claims human cabdrivers may not go extinct any time soon. According to Watts, the self-driving Mitsubishi lacked Tesla's polish and was overly cautious. The car did a fine job of avoiding jaywalkers, parked cars, and pedestrians on the short drive, but hesitated often, which could gives riders motion sickness, Watts said. nuTonomy CEO Karl Iagnemma will be speaking at Autoblog's UPSHIFT 2016 conference on transportation technology on October 6 in Detroit.
