Year:1996 Mileage:163202 Color: of car is extremely dirty
Location:

East Alton, Illinois, United States

East Alton, Illinois, United States

Aftermarket parts:
Megan racing exhaust-don't know the model, but sounds amazing.
Carbon fiber hood-very damaged, but usable once repaired. Has the hood pins.
Carbon fiber rear hatch
Megan racing red chrome strut bars-front and rear (front not in pictures)
Ottor-R red and black racing seats with mounting brackets- driver seat needs to be repaired.
2 Rockford Fosgate 12 inch subs with box, Alpine amp, and thick wiring-one sub missing plastic, but does NOT effect the sound.
Dual flip-up touch screen GPS/DVD player.
Super light 17" bronze rims-one has curb rash, another has a dent, but they are all 4 currently holding air like they have been.
Good running engine out of a 97 eclipse (has less than the 163,000 miles that show on the odometer, but not sure of the exact number)
Good transmission.
(Smoked tail lights in the pictures have been removed from the car).
AEM cold air intake.
Battery is only a few months old.
Locking gas cap.

There is a lot to say about this car: obviously from the pictures it has been wrecked and the front axle and both control arms are broken.
The frame does not appear to be bent.
The pictures say it all, however, I  will do by best to describe it also.
The rear triangle window is broken on the passenger side.
There is no front bumper.
There is no rear seat.
Both headlights are broken.
Clear coat is peeling and exterior of car is extremely dirty.

As I mentioned this has a good engine and good transmission still.  I've owned this car for 5 years exactly this month and I've only put 21,000 miles on it. Changed the oil every 3 or 4 months (have receipts). I've only had one problem ever with it and that's when one of the hose clamps came lose and that's it in 5 years. THIS HAS A CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE AND A KEY.

Mitsubishi recalling 2011 Outlander Sport over panoramic roofs that may fly off

Tue, 02 Jul 2013

The panoramic roof offered on the 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is a great way to make the cabin feel more open, but some owners of the compact CUV could get a little more openness than they bargained for. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced a recall for Outlander Sport models built between August 2010 and March 2011 due to the possibility that the panoramic roof could fly off.
On about 3,200 Outlander Sport models in the US and Puerto Rico, a potentially improper installation process could have resulted in a lack of adhesive primer between the glass and the roof, which could allow the glass to detach from the vehicle and become dangerous debris on the road. Fortunately, it sounds like there have only been two instances of detached roofs, and neither was in the US. As a fix, Mitsubishi dealers will check to make sure the primer was used, and if not, the glass will be reinstalled following the proper procedure. Scroll down for the official NHTSA recall notice.

Mitsubishi developing new standalone hybrid Evo successor

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

Mention the name Mitsubishi to different people and you'll likely get two startling different images. Environmentalists will focus on the company's strides in developing EVs, while performance enthusiasts will point you toward the Lancer Evolution. The prevailing wisdom was that Mitsubishi would cancel the latter to concentrate on the former, but the latest intel suggests that the two will be reconciled with a new Evo around the corner.
Although Mitsubishi is reportedly working to streamline its lineup from 23 models on 12 different platforms to 13 models on 7 by 2016, the next Evo will stand as an exception. Like Subaru did with the formerly Impreza-based WRX (or for that matter Nissan with the formerly Skyline-based GT-R), the new Evo won't have anything to do with the next Lancer, which itself will be based on a Renault-Nissan platform.
On that unique platform, Mitsubishi is likely to install a small direct-injection turbo engine (potentially a diesel) that could be based on the 1.1-liter, three-cylinder turbo engine in the XR-PHEV concept we saw in Tokyo, supplemented by small electric motors with lightweight batteries and driving all four wheels through an enhanced version of the company's Super All-Wheel Control system. As to whether the Evo name will carry over, that remains to be seen, but if these reports prove accurate, its spirit could very much live on.

Mitsubishi turning Montero into crossover, Outlander Sport may get PHEV variant

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

Mitsubishi is getting more and more forthcoming about its plans for the US market. Among the tidbits revealed during a chat with Edmunds at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, MMNA Executive Vice President Don Swearingen said that "We are committed to huge investments in capital as well as huge investments in R&D." The marquee product of that investment could be a new Montero for the 2017 or 2018 model year, suggestions of which were raised with the Concept GC-PHEV at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show and again at the end of last year. Swearingen said the proposed SUV is a little smaller than a Ford Explorer and that dealers have seen a picture of it. A decision on whether to bring it to the US will be made later this year.
Below that, incremental improvements will come to every model over the next couple of years. The Outlander will get a facelift next year before a major restyle in 2016, when the Outlander PHEV is also expected to finally make it here. In 2015 the Outlander Sport will be fitted with larger engine and a new, quieter CVT returning better acceleration and fuel economy. In 2016 it will also be redesigned, and it will be equipped with the company's new telematics system that goes into the Outlander the following year.
At the other end of the line-up, the Mirage will get a big dose of love in two years. Detail changes like better fabric inside and outside-mirror indicators are slated for 2015, and in 2016 the bargain hatchback gets "a sleek, aerodynamic" reskin. The Mirage G4 sedan could join the US range if the Canadians turn out to be fans of it. The Lancer gets only meager attentions, while the i-MiEV gets the cold shoulder and won't change at all. We get the cold shoulder as far as a next-generation Evo - Swearingen didn't say a word about that, apparently.
