See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"It is in excellent running condition without any known internal issues, and none of the following defects impact its performance. This car was bought used, so I do not have any info on the listed accident for it, but I can say with certainty that any issues it caused back in 2003 have long since been fixed. The back windows aren't quite flush with the seal of the door, but this is only noticed when going faster than 60 mph, wherein the wind creates some minor whistling against them, which is what the reported frame issue is. The front bumper has a handful of small cracks and scuffs from being backed into, but not enough to compromise the bumper's safety purpose or really to make much of an aesthetic difference. The few other external cosmetic blemishes are just faint scratches from normal wear and tear and only noticeable up close. The leather on the bottom part of the driver's seat has some light cracking in it on the left side from use."

Don't miss out on a great vehicle like this!

Even without taking its age into consideration, this car is in fantastic condition.  The transmission was very recently checked for maintenance, without any problems being found, and it runs beautifully.  Beyond the few cracks in the front bumper, the only noticeable flaws in the exterior are one thin scratch a few inches long on the right side and some very minor scuffing at the very bottom of the back bumper.  Everywhere else is shiny and looks just about brand new, especially with the fresh paint job it received about a year ago.  A repair shop it was taken to for a check-up failed to close the hood all the way, and when it was driven onto the highway, it flew up and smashed the windshield, which means to avoid a lawsuit, the shop replaced both it and the hood and gave it that paint job, so you can also be sure that the windshield won't be prone to stress or failures any time soon.

This car is packed with tons of awesome features that you'll be sure to appreciate.  For when it's cold, there are heated front seats with a low and high setting for each, and for when it's hot, there is fully working air conditioning that gets nice and frigid in a matter of minutes even when it's 90+ degrees outside.  It also has cup-holders, a working radio, and CD player, as well as several lighter plug-ins for phone chargers or iPod players.  And in addition to all of the other great extras listed above, it has a very loud alarm system, so you can feel safe leaving it parked somewhere.  But if you set if off by accident, it's easy to deactivate with the key.

There wasn't a remote for this car when it was purchased, which means I unfortunately won't be able to include one, but there is a release for the trunk on the driver's side door, so you won't have to use the key to get it open.  Before it is sold, it will be getting an oil change and a thorough interior cleaning (though I keep it clean anyway).  The only reason I am selling this car is because I am moving to a big city, and it will be more cost effective for me to simply use the available public transport systems.  Otherwise, I'd be keeping it.

Since I am not a dealer, the sale will be final.  Any assessments stated here are my own observations and honest opinions, not those of a professional.  The car will be available to pick up either in Bowling Green, KY or Nashville, TN depending on when it gets sold and/or per buyer's request.  I would also be willing to ship it so long as the buyer paid the shipping costs.  If you live in the area and would like to schedule a time to view the car before it is purchased, feel free to contact me.

A realistic approach to fixing Mitsubishi

Tue, May 24 2016

There are going to be a lot of words written about what Nissan needs to do with Mitsubishi in the coming months and years in the interest of turning the brand around. After Nissan's purchase of a controlling stake in the diamond star brand, there's been more interest in Mitsubishi thanks to the potential of platform sharing and plenty of cash from Nissan-Renault to get the juices flowing again. But, while some have been doing their best to advocate for the return of the 3000GT, Evolution, and even the Starion - Many of these posts forget the reality of the market we live in today. As much as we like to look back fondly at the sports coupes of the '90s, a byproduct of the insane cash flows all the Japanese manufacturers had at the time, the reality of today puts a much greater emphasis on what is most-boring; Crossover SUVs, alongside mid-size and compact sedans. We do need to ask a fundamental question, how much Mitsubishi is enough to be able to continue to call the cars Mitsubishis? Aside from slight product revisions and reconfigurations, Mitsubishi (at least in North America) has been largely dependent on the same GS platform and 4B1 engines that date back to their long-time partnership with Chrysler (and Hyundai) in the mid '00s. Admittedly, the chassis and engines have served the company well, underpinning a wide variety of vehicles sold around the world, and seeing quite a few revisions to at least attempt to keep products competitive. But, the GS chassis is old, heavy, and severely out of date - and when matched to the underpowered 4B1 series engines - make for largely uncompetitive offerings in the market. While something like the Outlander Sport is indeed interesting compared to a Honda CR-V, it is by no means the smart choice in the segment. So, going forward, unless Mitsubishi has had a skunkworks of sorts developing their chassis and engine replacements over the past few years, what exactly are they planning to do for their bread-and-butter models? I think the straightforward answer is without a doubt the Nissan North America parts bin. With so many of their models selling well, and for the most part, are reasonably well-reviewed, it would be quite simple to adapt the chassis and powertrain to Mitsubishi's liking to create a high-volume alternative to what is currently available now.

2017 Mitsubishi Model Year Preview and Updates

Fri, Mar 3 2017

This ain't your father's Mitsubishi. And for those focused more on 'economy' than 'Evo', that's probably a good thing. The Evolution is no more, Mitsubishi's truck-tough Montero is no longer sold in the States, and the Mirage sedan and hatch serve as little more than price holders in a constricted lineup. With that, sales are up and Mitsubishi is working hard on a revamp of its entire lineup. The newest addition comes this fall in the form of a small crossover, the 2018 Eclipse Cross, pictured above. MITSUBISHI i-MIEV: The least expensive EV available in the US market obtains an optional navigation package. The nav unit includes a seven-inch touch screen, Fuse hands-free link, USB port, rearview camera and steering wheel controls. LANCER: The Lancer lives, albeit without the mojo intrinsic to the high-performance Evo, now discontinued. For '17 a rear camera is standard on the small four door, along with new wheels and an optional Sun and Sound package. MIRAGE: Mitsu's entry-level hatch and sedan receive an aggressive refresh for 2017, with an enhanced exterior (new front fascia, hood, grille and wheels), a bump in horsepower and improved suspension. Also, two new colors are added: Wine Red and Sunrise Orange. OUTLANDER SPORT: While awaiting an all-new Sport, Mitsubishi's compact crossover adds automatic climate control, upgraded seat fabric and – as announced at this year's Chicago Auto Show – a Limited Edition trim. OUTLANDER: Mitsubishi's large three-row crossover receives a new, entry-level All-Wheel Control 4WD system and enhanced technology.

Mitsubishi off-road concepts head to Tokyo Auto Salon

Tue, Jan 12 2016

While the focus on this side of the Pacific has been on CES and the Detroit Auto Show, over in Japan they're gearing up for the Tokyo Auto Salon. Most of the other Japanese automakers have already shown us what they have in store for the tuner expo, and now it's Mitsubishi's turn. This year, Mitsubishi will showcase two pairs of custom creations. They're all focused on the great outdoors, but two take more of an adventuring approach while the other two are geared towards camping. Two are based on the Outlander PHEV and the other two on the Delica D5 minivan. The Outdoor Gear concepts feature matte pearl white paintjobs with orange trim, black interiors with orange trim, and mesh fabric seats with grippy suede trim. The Outlander version rides on 20-inch wheels with off-road tires, a spoiler, and a bike rack on the roof. The Delica gets a carbon-style front bumper, LED daytime running lights, brush guards, and 16-inch wheels. The Active Camper concepts feature 20-inch wheels and matte silver paint with a black camo pattern – a treatment which continues inside. Here the Outlander features a new body kit, adjustable suspension, a roof box, and 1,500 watts of auxiliary power. The Delica version features a sportier grille, brush guards, and a convertible cabin space with room for two. They'll be displayed alongside a replica of the Outlander PHEV rally machine which Mitsubishi is fielding at the Baja Portalegre 500. But these are just some of the goodies in store for the Tokyo Auto Salon this year, which promises all the JDM action you could shake a carbon-fiber stick at. The doors open at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba City on Friday and will stay open through the weekend.
