For sale 1992 3000gt one of two soft top convertible with 65xxx miles on the odometer (car fax reports 111xxx miles but I have documentation from 3 months prior to the documented mileage stating 61xxx miles, it seems to have been an error made by a a smog tech) Car was converted by coach builders In 1992 to have a powered convertible top. This is one of the two soft top convertibles built by coach builders that was sold brand new as a soft top and the only coach builder soft top that is a vr4. For non 3000gt enthusiasts a vr4 is the top of the line model sporting a twin turbo 3.0l engine, an all wheel drive drivetrain, active exhaust, active suspension, and active aerodynamics. It also has digital climate control with two stage air conditioning. The original owner purchased this car and had a very high quality shop fabricate a metal wide body for the rear along with molding the rear bumper and having it painted Ferrari yellow. The interior boasts custom yellow face gauges along with yellow stitching on the black leather powered seats and is topped off with a yellow and black momo steering wheel and shift knob. Engine wise it is mostly stock with a few small Bolt ons such as a light weight pulley and polished piping and valve covers. Also it has Spal radiator fans. When I purchased the vehicle I removed the engine cleaned and re-sealed the engine and installed a new water pump, timing belt, hydraulic tensioner and both of the roller bearings. The transmission and transfer case and rear end were all drained and refilled with gear oil and the clutch was replaced with a stage two disk and pressure plate along with a lightweight flywheel with replaceable face (the aftermarket throw out bearing seems to rattle a bit but does not affect drive ability at all). All of the smog equipment was kept intact including all vacumn lines and cat converters. The wheels are custom made Azev wheels that were designed as a staggered fitment to go along with the wide body rear.
The car runs and drives perfect and is a blast to take out for a spin when the weather is nice. The car has been garaged for the entire 2 and a half years I have owned it.
Now for the bad
When I purchased the vehicle it had been sitting at a repo lot for about ten years. Apparently the original owner lost the vehicle along with his business and house and the car was reposed. Having sat in the elements for ten years it has its fair share of wear and tear on the paint and will need to be re-sprayed to get it back to perfect condition, along with the paint fading the rear plastic window has fallen in and would need to be replaced. I've never actually driven the car with the top up so it never bothers me but it is not intact. Also when i purchased the car I disconnected the power wire for the top due to it being located where me knee would hit it accidentally. The top still fully functions and can be hooked up to power or moved manually. The rear active aero also has a small chip in the base but I have a replacement to go with the vehicle that just needs to be paint matched.

2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport gets power bump

Sat, Feb 7 2015

Mitsubishi is working to keep its products up to date. While the prospect for a midsize sedan might be on hold, and the Outlander Plug-in Hybrid keeps seeing delays; the Outlander Sport is at least getting a more powerful, optional engine for two trims in the 2015 model year. The Japanese brand's compact crossover is now offered with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder making 168 horsepower and 167 pound-feet of torque, and it's hooked up to a CVT. That works out to a jump of 20 hp and 22 lb-ft over the current 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the Outlander Sport. Fuel economy is rated at 23 miles per gallon city, 28 mpg highway and 25 mpg combined for the front-wheel drive version or 23/26/24 for all-wheel drive models. The larger engine is only available on the ES and GT trim levels. Prices for the 2.4 ES start at at $21,295, plus an $850 destination charge on all models, and it also gets a black center bumper. The 2.4 GT rings up for $23,595 and adds things like a power driver's seat, black roof rails and LED turn signals in the mirrors. Additionally, customers can option the GT Premium Package for an upgraded stereo, moonroof and auto-dimming rearview mirror. There's also the GT Touring Package with leather seats and a seven-inch navigation system. MITSUBISHI MOTORS INTRODUCES MORE POWERFUL 2015 OUTLANDER SPORT New 2.4-liter engine produces 168 horsepower – 20 more horsepower than currently offered 2.0-liter engine The 2.4l engine will be available in two trim levels: 2.4 ES and 2.4 GT Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) has introduced a more powerful version of the 2015 Outlander Sport 5-passenger crossover that includes a larger displacement 2.4-liter MIVEC 4-cylinder engine producing 168 horsepower – a 20 horsepower increase over the current 2.0-liter engine. With a starting MSRP of $21,295, the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2.4 ES features a black center bumper to visually differentiate this model from the standard ES trim level. The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2.4 GT has a MSRP of $23,595 and includes additional features such as a power driver's seat, leather-wrapped parking brake handle, aluminum pedals, and exterior enhancements including a black center bumper along with black roof rails and outside mirrors with LED turn indicators. The 2.4 GT model includes an optional GT Premium Package that consists of a 710-watt Rockford Fosgate® premium sound system with 9 speakers including 10-in.

2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport shows its big, new face in America

Tue, Apr 30 2019

The 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport initially showed us its new sheetmetal at the Geneva Motor Show, but we got a chance to check out the vehicle in the flesh at the company's research and development center in Ann Arbor, Mich., today. Nearly everything we learned about the Outlander Sport (known as the ASX in other markets) before applies to the North American version of the vehicle. However, one aspect we were uncertain of was the continued presence of the manual transmission. We asked, and Mitsubishi is officially dropping the stick shift version of the Outlander Sport with this update. It was previously only available on the base trim level, exclusively paired with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. Mitsubishi was one of the last holdouts to offer a manual transmission option in the small crossover market, and now they're officially out. Three-pedal versions of the Outlander Sport represented just 2% of total model sales, so the business case just wasn't there anymore. We confirmed that the powertrains from the 2019 model year car will carry over to the 2020 Outlander Sport, which means you'll have the choice between the 148 horsepower 2.0-liter or the 168 horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder. Both engines are paired to a CVT. Of course, all-wheel drive will also continue to be available optionally. The big changes are in the styling that Mitsubishi thinks will make it stand out among competitors. Looking at the crossover directly in the face gives us a real truck-like and rugged vibe. This is where Mitsubishi put most of its eggs, appealing to folks who want a tougher looking vehicle. To our eyes, the execution comes off as a bit haphazard, lacking in cohesiveness with the sheer number of things going on. There's gray satin plastic, piano black plastic and flat black plastic all hanging out next to each other. Then the "shield" sort of juts outward at us, standing in stark contrast with the shiny reflective surfaces on either side of it. Judge for yourself, but the previous design was slick and much simpler than this mash up. Mitsubishi kept things relatively subdued out back, and we like the evolution of the taillights and rear bumper here. There isn't much to speak about down the sides other than a different wheel design and a small fake vent added. One could argue the interior was the Outlander Sport's sorest point, but sadly Mitsubishi chose to neglect this part of the car.
