FUN TO DRIVE AND VERY WELL EQUIPPED 2007 MINI COOPER S. NON SMOKER VEHICLE. 6 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION (NEW CLUTCH!!!) AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM CD PLAYER DUAL PLANE PANORAMIC PWR SUNROOF POWER LOCKS BLACK LEATHER SEATS HEATED SEATS RED MIRROR CAPS AND BODY DECALS BI XENON LIGHTS SUMMER AND WINTER SET OF TIRES AND RIMS INCLUDED!!! TOTAL OF 8 RIMS AND 8 TIRES! With only 28 miles on this engine, clutch and many new components you will be ready to MOTOR ON!!! In my opinion this is a better buy than a vehicle with less body miles. All of the common problems with this engine have been corrected. There is no carbon build up on the intake which can occur from 50,000 miles and up, there are no oil leaks from the engine, the water pump and thermostat are new as they come installed on the replacement engine, the timing chain and tensioner is already updated on the new engine, the turbo feed lines and coolant feed lines have all been replaced. Add a new clutch to the picture and no need to worry about how the previous owner drove! All of this topped with the part warranty provided by MINI for two years unlimited miles from date of invoice on parts slip. All new parts dealer purchased!!! Vehicle being sold as is but with the MINI part warranty as described. |

Guerlain Chicherit going for world record for longest car jump
Fri, 14 Mar 2014Does the name Guerlain Chicherit ring any bells? It definitely should if you're into competitive skiing, as he was crowned world champion in off-trail freeriding four times. But he's also a rally driver, winning the FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup in 2009 and even a stage of the Dakar Rally the following year. What really set him apart, though, was when he back-flipped a Mini Countryman rally car to set a world record last year. And now he's after another.
This time he's going after the world record for the longest ramp jump in a car. The record currently belongs to Tanner Foust at 332 feet, but Chicherit plans to break it by a good thirty more with a targeted distance of 360 feet.
He'll be using the Mini once again, sponsored by Monster Energy and Toyo Tires, and specially modified for the endeavor which he plans to undertake this Sunday under the auspices of Guinness World Record officials. We'll be watching to see how it all goes down.
BMW looking to save billions with cost cuts
Wed, 18 Jun 2014BMW is planning a fairly extensive overhaul in a bid to recoup some its annual costs, with CEO Norbert Reithofer (pictured above) aiming to save three to four billion euro ($4 to $5.4 billion) per year to help keep the company's profit margins between eight and 10 percent, while also maintaining investments in production expansion and new tech. BMW's profit margins sat at 9.4 percent in 2013.
According to Automotive News Europe, Reithofer is none too pleased about costs at Mini and on the 1 Series, although neither AN nor its source story, from Germany's Manager Magazin, elaborate on what steps could be taken to improve losses on either project. That makes it hard to figure out just where the fat will be trimmed from.
What may happen, though, is that BMW attempts to trim 100 million euros ($135 million) from its German labor costs each year; a solution hinted at a few weeks ago by Germany newspaper Muenchner Merkur. While a dramatic cost reduction, 100 million euros still doesn't begin to even approach the savings envisioned by Reithofer.
Car Club USA: Minis On Top
Tue, Aug 18 2015Car Club USA heads to New Hampshire for Minis On Top, an annual Mini owner event at the base of Mt. Washington. Owners meet, greet, and compete for best of show honors, and then make the thrilling ascent to the top of Mt. Washington. "You get about halfway up the mountain and all the sudden you can't see," remarks one driver of the sometimes treacherous conditions. Events like Minis On Top have been bringing together this tight-knit automotive community for years. "When I bought it, I really... didn't know it was a car that came with friends," said Eric Ruiz, one of the event coordinators. "I have no idea where my life would be had I not bought that Mini off the dealership floor," said Emily Martian, who struck up a long-distance relationship with fellow Mini driver Steve Nikitopoulos at another owner event. "So, yes, technically Minis brought us together." Each Car Club USA episode features a different car club or event from across the US, where passionate owner communities gather to share automotive experiences and embark on incredible adventures.
