Beautiful and well maintained Mini Cooper S model. One of the best colors Mini offered for that year. Has 6 speed manual transmission and factory 17 inch wheels, so it gets great fuel economy. Tires are Bridgestone Potenza and have great tread on them. Exterior body and paint in great shape. Factory racing stripes. Interior is very clean with no rips or stains. Very original car with No mods. Factory stereo with CD player and factory alarm system. Engine runs smooth and quite and transmission shifts fine. Very dry under hood and underneath car. Has a clean title and good Carfax. When I pulled the Carfax, it allowed for a price increase of $180 over Retail value. This has been a southern car all its life, so it does not have any rust issues. Great chance to own a nice looking and well maintained Mini S model for a fraction of the price of a new one and even thousands of what most used ones are going for. Please feel free to email for more pictures. I have set the reserve at a fair price, so bid to win. This Mini is being advertised locally, so I have the right to end auction at any time prior to receiving a bid that would be less than the reserve. So to be fair to all, once reserve has been met, it stays on auction till highest bidder wins. Your welcome to come look at the car before auction ends or send someone to inspect it for you. But car is being Sold as Is, without any warranty expressed or implied. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due with in 3 business days of auction ending. Mini Clubman Final Edition could be the end of the Clubman line
Thu, Mar 23 2023The Mini range is in for an enormous overhaul next model year, the little Anglo-German hatchbacks getting more mature, more roomy, more powertrains, more digital. The Clubman trim could be saying goodbye for good, the wagon's restrained dimensions perhaps not a fit for where Mini's going. For 1,969 buyers around the world, the Mini Clubman Final Edition will be a way to say "Farewell." As with the Mini Convertible Seaside Edition, the Clubman Final Edition commemorates the birth of the original Clubman produced from 1969 to 1981. It's available in three colors: Enigmatic Black, Melting Silver, and Nanuq White. Those base hues will be accented by Shimmer Copper trim on the grille and fender vents, as well as three stripes running up the passenger's side of the hood. Another three Shimmer Copper stripes run along the lower sides underlining the "1 of 1969" badge on the C-pillar. The wagon sits on 18-inch wheels with a two-tone Final Edition Spoke lacquered to recall copper. The side sills carry "Final Edition" lettering at the threshold to the front seats, and a "1969" badge across the rear threshold. Inside, there are a lot more warm brown and badging to behold. Three-tone Mini Yours leather sports seats are far flashier than anything from 1969, set off by anthracite Piquet fabric, blue contrast stitching, stitched badging and a copper-colored button. A range of "Final Edition" and "1 of 1969" notifiers run appear on the steering wheel, instrument panel, and floor mats. Depending on market, the Clubman Final Edition can be ordered in Cooper and Cooper S trims, with any available powertrain including diesel, and in two- or four-wheel drive. We're not sure how many will come to the U.S., if any, nor what they will cost, so check with your dealer. The 100 specials being sent to the UK will start at GBP37,000 ($45,250 U.S.) on-the-road, about GBP10,000 ($12,230 U.S.) above an entry-level Clubman Cooper Classic. Mini may have overexpanded, some models may not be replaced
Fri, 05 Apr 2013Surprise, surprise. According to Edmunds, Mini may be looking to reduce the number of vehicles in its range, which has recently expanded to include a total of seven offerings (not to mention the copious varieties of configurations found within each line). When Mini relaunched in the early 2000s, it did so with one model, the Cooper Hardtop, and has since added the Convertible, Clubman, Countryman, Coupe, Roadster and Paceman. It looks like those ambitions of expanding the range to include up to 10 models may have been a bit optimistic.
"When we start to replace models, I think you will see that we won't replace every model exactly," Jim McDowell, Vice President of Mini USA, told Edmunds in an interview. The brand's core models right now are the Hardtop and Countryman, and of the roughly 66,200 vehicles that Mini sold in the United States last year, these two vehicles accounted for some 75 percent of total sales.
McDowell declined to mention any specific models that may not be replaced in the lineup's next generation, though our best guess is that ultra-niche vehicles like the Coupe (pictured) or Clubman. As for replacing some of the current models with new products, the only clear gap we can see in the brand's lineup is a smaller car like the Rocketman concept, though we've been told several times that a mini-Mini isn't going to happen. Be sure to let us know what Mini models you'd like to see kept or axed in Comments below.
2015 Mini Cooper snapped uncovered on the road
Mon, 30 Sep 2013The third generation of reborn Mini is nearly upon us. Just look at the trail of breadcrumbs the Anglo-Saxon automaker has been leaving us.
First we saw the upcoming new Mini Cooper, spied from above at a photo shoot, which Mini was quick to point out was not its best angle. Then BMW's retro-hatch division showcased the Mini Vision concept, and followed up just yesterday with details of the new engines and chassis that will underpin the latest model. And now we have the clearest batch of spy shots we've seen yet.
Not only were these shots taken from a better angle, but also show the new Mini in the more tempting Cooper S trim - complete with hood scoop, split-spoke alloys, roof spoiler and twin central exhaust tips.
