Autocross Or Track Car , Supercharge Manual on 2040-cars
Oakland, New Jersey, United States
This is a 2006 Mini Cooper S with a 6spd manual and 44000 Miles , Please Read NJ SALVAGE TITLE , the car runs very good pulls hard , drives straight and very fast fun to drive (NO FRAME DAMAGE) , now I got this car of a insurance company the vehicle got involve in a accident and front and rear bumper covers got damage , insurance didnt want to fix and settle with the owner giving the vehicle a salvage title , because Im a dealer I been driving this car since november with my dealer plates , never let me down and great on gas my plans were to make this into a autocross car , but lost my interest so Im trying to get some or all of my money back . So if you plan to use it for track days or autocross you can care less about the title issue , otherwise check with your state I know is possible to register this car if you take it to a state inspection with all the proper paper work and the state police will issue a rebuild title so you can register it , this is what I heard but different states different laws , or if you want to export the car the salvage title is not a problem .
OK so about the car , front and rear bumper have been replace some cosmetic trace of the accident remains behind the bumper covers but it doesnt affect the vehicle , just last week I lost on the highway the front spoiler so it's missing , interior is very good and everything works , there are some damn lights on the dash from sensors , like abs, door open and a check engine light for a vaccum leak , needs one front hood latch (comes with racing latches new in the pack) and rear gate latch , gate it self will need to get align better for a tight seal . Engine 100% you can feel a squeal while at idle that goes away as soon as you step on the gas thinking loose belt, Trans and clutch 100% no problems , Windshield has hair cracks about 4 . Overall is a very nice project in good condition this car will sell for around $8000 you can get for less than half that , NO RESERVE AUCTION HIGHEST BIDDER WINS. Available for inspection in NJ 07436 |

2013 Mini Cooper S Paceman All4
Thu, 14 Feb 2013In just over a decade, Mini has expanded its modern range from the singular Hardtop model (launched in 2002) to a full range of little runabouts. The latest of these is the Paceman, and while European Editor Matt Davis gave us the full scoop on this model late last year, we recently spent time with the all-wheel-drive model just outside of Ponce, Puerto Rico.
It's weird, this Paceman. It slots in between the Hardtop and the Countryman (on which its based) in terms of size and functionality, and Mini says that it will appeal to a more style-conscious shopper. Key competitors range anywhere from the Nissan Juke on the low end to the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque on the high end.
After spending lots of time with the Countryman, we're convinced that maxi can still be Mini. And the same is true with this Paceman, too.
First Mini John Cooper Works prototype spied
Fri, 14 Feb 2014The highlight of Mini's 2014 Detroit Auto Show stand was the arrival of the John Cooper Works Concept, a sportier version of the three-door hatch that presages the next JCW model on the new platform. Now, we have our first images of the production car undergoing winter testing way up north in Sweden.
Really, the Mini camouflage can't hide what this car is. Between the JCW-branded brake calipers and extra intakes in the front fascia, it's fairly easy to see that this is the sportier version of the car our own Jeremy Korzeniewski wrote about last week. We're expecting the JCW variant to pack a fair bit more firepower than the three-cylinder Cooper he tested, of course. Rumors have circulated that the hottest Mini model could jump to 230 horsepower, up from the current, non-GP car's 208.
There are a number of style features missing here, and while it's entirely possible we'll see things like the JCW Concept's diffuser and side gills arrive when this car is shown in production form (or even further along in testing), their absence in these spy photos is telling. We certainly think this car will become the production JCW Hardtop, but there may be another explanation. The lack of certain aesthetic features means this could be a test of the JCW Engine Kit, which in past Minis slotted in between the standard Mini Cooper S and the factory Works car. We'll admit, it's a long-shot, but there is precedent for it - the JCW Tuning Kit arrived a year before the factory model in the last-generation car. The same reasoning could be used to explain the presence of the JCW-branded brakes, which have been another well-known Mini accessory over the years.
Mini fesses up to Countryman clutch issue, plans fix
Sat, 10 Nov 2012Aside from the general lack of snow in the Midwest earlier this year that hampered our ability to properly play with our Blizzak-equipped Mini Contryman long-term test vehicle, the biggest problem we had with this crossover during the year we spent with it was the transmission. On four different monthly updates (September, October, November and June), all in the hands of different Autoblog editors, the Countryman's clutch was called out for being too finicky, leading to many stall outs. Apparently, we weren't alone in our assessment of the Countryman's clutch woes.
According to MotoringFile, Mini has updated the Countryman with a different clutch material and improved software. This much-needed change is being implemented starting this month, but Mini hasn't said what it is doing about existing 2011 and 2012 Countryman models that are afflicted with this problem.
Head over to MotoringFile to see the full official statement from Mini USA on this issue.
