ON BOARD COMPUTER ON TACHOMETER TELLS YOU DIGITAL SPEED, OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE, INSTANT GAS MILEAGE, MILEAGE TO EMPTY, ALL LIGHTS WORK, TAIL LIGHTS, TURN INDICATORS, THIRD BRAKE LIGHT, FRONT HEADLIGHTS, HIGH BEAMS, GLOVE BOX, TRUNK, PASSENGER AND DRIVERS READING LAMPS, REAR REVERSE LIGHTS, AND DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHTS. ALOT OF CHROME ACCENTS ON THE CAR THAT WERE INSTALLED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER, CHROME ON THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS, ON THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS, AROUND THE FRONT HEADLIGHTS, FRONT GRILL, REAR EXHAUST TIP, REAR TRUNK HINGES, IN THE INTERIOR AS WELL. THE CAR IS SMALL, I HAVE A 12 YEAR OLD AND A 10 YEAR OLD THEY FIT NICELY IN THE REAR BUT IF YOU HAVE A THIRD KID YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK. THE CAR FITS IN ALMOST ANY PARKING SPOT, I WORK IN QUEENS NEW YORK, AND I ALWAYS FIND A SPOT, AND SINCE IT IS SMALL OTHER VEHICLES DONT SMASH YOUR BUMPERS WHEN THEY PARK NEAR YOU. THE CAR IS FUN AS HELL TO DRIVE, IT HAS SOME DECENT ACCELERATION AND SPEED, I HAVE DRIVEN IT OVER 100 AND THE RPMS ARE LOW ONLY 3100, NO SHAKES VERY SOLID CAR. IT HUGS THE ROAD EXTREMELY WELL, NOT TO MENTION HOW YOU CAN CHANGE LANES IN TIGHT SPOTS THAT OTHER CARS DON'T FIT. RECENTLY WORK DONE WITHIN THE LAST 18 MONTHS, TRANSMISSION FLUID FLUSH, THE SYSTEM IS TOTALLY SEALED AT THE FACTORY, THERE IS NO TRANSMISSION DIP STICK, I HAD ALL THREE TRANSMISSION SOLENOIDS CHANGED THEY ARE THE COMPUTERS THAT RUN THE TRANSMISSION, I HAD THE COOLANT SYSTEM FLUSHED, OIL CHANGED WITH SYNTHETIC OIL ALWAYS, NEW BATTERY, AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR RECHAREGED, NEW BRAKE PADS ALL AROUND, REAR NEW CERAMIC DISC ROTORS, TIRES HAVE GOOD RUBBER ON THEM, FUEL INJECTORS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED, NEW AIR FILTER, COMPUTER WHEEL ALIGNMENT, OXYGEN SENSOR, THE REAR THIRD BRAKE LIGHT IS NEW IT IS LED NO BULBS HAD TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE UNIT, TUNE UP. ACCIDENT FREE, AND I HAD THE WINDOWS TINTED THE BLACK INTERIOR WAS ROASTING HOT UNTIL I HAD THE TINT INSTALLED NOW ITS KOOL... I PURCHASED THIS CAR THREE YEARS AGO ON EBAY FROM AN OWNER THAT RESIDED IN WASHINGTON STATE, THE VEHICLE HAD ONLY 24,000 MILES ON IT, IT WAS A SECOND CAR FOR HIM, I HAD IT SHIPPED AND LOVED IT EVER SINCE. I AM SELLING IT BECAUSE WE HAVE THREE CARS AND I RECENTLY GOT TRANSFERRED TO A LOCATION WHERE I CAN TAKE THE LONG ISLAND RAILROAD TO WORK, I DON'T NEED A CAR TO COMMUTE WITH ANY MORE. Mini Clubman Final Edition could be the end of the Clubman line
Thu, Mar 23 2023The Mini range is in for an enormous overhaul next model year, the little Anglo-German hatchbacks getting more mature, more roomy, more powertrains, more digital. The Clubman trim could be saying goodbye for good, the wagon's restrained dimensions perhaps not a fit for where Mini's going. For 1,969 buyers around the world, the Mini Clubman Final Edition will be a way to say "Farewell." As with the Mini Convertible Seaside Edition, the Clubman Final Edition commemorates the birth of the original Clubman produced from 1969 to 1981. It's available in three colors: Enigmatic Black, Melting Silver, and Nanuq White. Those base hues will be accented by Shimmer Copper trim on the grille and fender vents, as well as three stripes running up the passenger's side of the hood. Another three Shimmer Copper stripes run along the lower sides underlining the "1 of 1969" badge on the C-pillar. The wagon sits on 18-inch wheels with a two-tone Final Edition Spoke lacquered to recall copper. The side sills carry "Final Edition" lettering at the threshold to the front seats, and a "1969" badge across the rear threshold. Inside, there are a lot more warm brown and badging to behold. Three-tone Mini Yours leather sports seats are far flashier than anything from 1969, set off by anthracite Piquet fabric, blue contrast stitching, stitched badging and a copper-colored button. A range of "Final Edition" and "1 of 1969" notifiers run appear on the steering wheel, instrument panel, and floor mats. Depending on market, the Clubman Final Edition can be ordered in Cooper and Cooper S trims, with any available powertrain including diesel, and in two- or four-wheel drive. We're not sure how many will come to the U.S., if any, nor what they will cost, so check with your dealer. The 100 specials being sent to the UK will start at GBP37,000 ($45,250 U.S.) on-the-road, about GBP10,000 ($12,230 U.S.) above an entry-level Clubman Cooper Classic. 2015 Mini Hardtop 5-Door isn't for the country, man [w/video]
Thu, 02 Oct 2014We've seen it in super high-res glory, and we can even build one on the automaker's website, but the Paris Motor Show marks the official coming out party for the new Mini Hardtop 4 Door (which is what it's called in the US, despite this Euro car having "5 Door" badging). It's a stretched version of the third-generation Mini Hardtop, but with an extra set of doors for rear seat passengers. Think of it as a more useful Clubman, but with a lower ride height and less rugged-ness than the Countryman. Got it? Good.
Engine options carry over from the normal Mini Hardtop range, with a 1.5-liter turbo-three and a 2.0-liter turbo-four offering 134 and 189 horsepower, respectively. The rest of the car is everything else you know and love from the Mini range, just with a more spacious rear bench. And as you'd expect, there's a nearly endless pallet of customization options.
The Hardtop 4 Door arrives at US dealerships just before the end of the year, commanding a roughly $1,000 premium over its three-door kin. Scope out our new live shots in the gallery above, and take in the extensive press blast, below.
JCW Tuning Kit comes to Mini Countryman and Clubman
Tue, Oct 31 2017Mini devoted one line in the middle of its SEMA press release to the limited-edition Ice Blue Cooper S Hardtop on show at SEMA. We'll give it a few more lines: the Ice Blue hue hasn't been available since 2013, and Mini's being coy about how long the color will hang around. Available on two-door Cooper models, the Ice Blue package adds optional features beyond color, like custom wheel caps and Mini Connected, and adds a few thousand dollars to the MSRP depending on which Cooper you start with. Ready for the big Mini news? The John Cooper Works Tuning Kit will soon be available for Cooper S and Cooper S ALL4 Countryman and Clubman; before now, the kit could only be had for the Cooper S hardtop and convertible. The kit juices horsepower up to 208 hp from 189 hp, and throws in another 14 pound-feet of torque to top out at 221 lb-ft. The stainless-steel exhaust reduces exhaust gas back pressure, and can be controlled via Bluetooth for Sport or Sport+ auditory response. Sport, we're told, is safe for any road, while Sport+ makes a track-only kind of cacophony. The back-end growl gets piped through either chrome or carbon fiber tailpipes. The JCW Tuning Kit goes on sale in January 2018 for $1,950, and can be installed at any Mini dealer.
