A/C ice cold, All scheduled maintenance, Always garaged, Looks & drives great, Must see, Satellite radio, Seats like new, Title in hand, Upgraded sound system, Very clean interior, Well maintained Just bought a few months ago and would not be selling it if the wife wasn't pregnant with our first kid. This is very fast and agile car that is a blast to drive. It does have a few scuffs on the bumpers from the previous owner but it still looks fantastic as you can see from the pictures. Tires are in good shape and I had it aligned professionally recently. Brakes are about 6 months old and have great bite. This an awesome car don't let it pass you by.
1a.) These are the mechanical modifications I know of:
a.) Lowered - I don't know how many inches. Whomever lowered the car did not replace the rear control arms and the rear tires were bald on the inside because of the negative(?)camber. I replaced the control arms and had the car's bearings checked and had an alignment done professionally. The rear tires were replaced and balanced at the same time. Incidentally, I had hired the company eBay uses to check out a car when you cannot inspect it in person. He called me while he was inspecting it and said that there weren't any leaks, A/C was ice cold, etc. etc. But he didn't catch the tires which was a safety issue. But everything else was in good shape mechanically. As for the springs and shocks they are plenty stiff and this thing can take corners while flying.
b.) Short air intake
c.) MSD Ignition
d.) Custom Magnaflow exhaust
1b.) These are the cosmetic modifications that I know of:
a.) Clear middle tail light - blinks several times when brake pedal is pressed and then goes solid (cool safety feature)
b.) Front Halo Parking/Turn-signal lights
c.) 4 fog lights
d.) Aftermarket front grill
e.) Aftermarket Rims (Shoei?)
f.) Carbon fiber bonnet scoop
g.) Black headlights (I installed these)
h.) Carbon fiber sideview mirrors
i.) Carbon fiber rear hatch handle
j.) Smoked LED/Incandescent hybrid tail lights (I installed these)
k.) Custom black tachometer and speedometer
l.) Carbon fiber center console pillars
m.) Kenwood Excelon headunit with XM/Sirius receiver (yes the steering wheel controls work :D) - Rockford Fosgate component speakers in the front and Kenwood 6x9s in the back - Pioneer Sealed Subwoofer powered by a 250w Jenson amp, which is plenty loud for the size of the car(I installed the system)
2.) I do not know who did the mods other than the ones I did myself.
3.) There are minor scuffs on the rear bumper that are just your typical dings and scratches.
4.) The only issues that I have had with the car were:
a.) The previously mentioned alignment/tire issue
b.) The driver's side door quit unlocking with the key fob. This seems to be a pretty common thing with the mini's and was easily fixed. All I had to do was pull the lock actuator out of the door and open it and reset a cable. I went ahead and cleaned it up and re-greased all of the mechanical pieces while i was in there. It is working just fine now :)
5.) I do not have service records. I purchased this car in June '12 so i have only had it for 8 months. The only servicing done to it were the previously mentioned alignment and an oil change I did myself with Castrol Syntec (I did it the proper way too with a new magnetic drain plug and all that). I also cleaned the intake filter and replaced the cabin filter last week.
There may be other mods that I dont know of. I'm just mechanically competent to a point and then I let the professionals take over. I do have the official Bentley manual for the car and it will come with it free of charge if you want it. The book has been invaluable for the work that I have done.

Mini could go even bigger with next Countryman
Mon, 25 Nov 2013We recently reported that the new family of Minis could balloon from eight models to ten or more, but it's not only the model line that's expected to grow: so too could the largest model itself. That, of course, would be the Countryman, which is already bigger than anything else ever to wear the Mini badge. But if you think the current Countryman is already big enough, the latest reports suggest that it could get even bigger. Apparently parent company BMW feels a larger Mini crossover would better compete with more mainstream models in the marketplace.
The Countryman, however, will only be one of the new variants to spin off of the new third-generation Mini. Expect the new Hardtop hatchback introduced in LA to be followed by a new Cabriolet, Roadster, and Paceman. A five-door version of the base hatchback will also join in addition to the new Clubman, which is tipped to get a split tailgate instead of the single hinged aperture on the current model. The jury's still out on the Mini Coupe, which has largely failed to impress, while a convertible crossover could be back in the mix along with the rumored plug-in hybrid version.
2025 Mini Aceman previewed as the brand's first standalone EV
Wed, Jan 31 2024Mini's first standalone electric model, the Aceman, will make its debut in the coming months. It was developed to fill the gap between the Cooper and the Countryman, and photos of a camouflaged prototype give us a better idea of what to expect when it lands in showrooms. If the name Aceman rings a bell, it's likely because Mini introduced it on a concept unveiled in 2022 and designed to preview the production model. The pictures suggest that the crossover hasn't changed much over the past two years: while the brand tweaked some of the design details, including the headlights, the front bumper, and the door mirrors, the overall proportions remain roughly the same. The funky-looking trim on the wheel arches carries over as well, though it looks like the EV lost ground clearance as it transitioned to a production model. Mini stresses that the Aceman will be all-electric, all the time; it won't be available with a gasoline-burning engine. It stretches about 160 inches long, 69 inches wide and 59 inches tall, meaning it's around 14 inches shorter, three inches narrower and six inches lower than the new second-generation Countryman. It's built on a 54.2-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack, but additional specifications aren't available. Somewhat tellingly, the aforementioned dimensions make the Aceman about the same size as the original Countryman launched in 2010. This likely explains what Mini had in mind when it made the new model much bigger than its predecessor; it carved out space for the EV. There's no word yet on precisely when the Aceman will lose its psychedelic camouflage and show its sheet metal; Mini notes that the unveiling will take place "in just a few months." While nothing is official yet, we wouldn't be surprised if the model lands in showrooms later in 2024 as a 2025 model. Details such as pricing, driving range, and where production will take place will emerge in the not-too-distant future. Related video:
Mini's Superleggera concept could see production; here's what it might look like
Fri, 30 May 2014We fell in love with the Mini Superleggera Vision Concept from the moment we laid eyes on it. The little convertible blends retro and modern together better than any Mini in years. There is even more good news about the roadster as well because the company is considering actually building it. We even have some renders of what the production version could look like.
Mini boss Peter Schwarzenbauer tells Automotive News at the 2014 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, that the Superleggera might have a life beyond its debut. "We wanted to test how Mini enthusiasts worldwide were reacting to such a different type of Mini. So far, it has re
ceived overwhelming appreciation," he said to AN. But here's the bad news. All of the unique elements of the droptop wouldn't be cheap to build. Pricing would likely be around 35,000 euros if BMW gives it the green light, according to Schwarzenbauer. It's too early to know whether the road car would use the electric motor from the concept or something more conventional.
