Well maintained Sable wagon with low miles. One small dent on driver's side near the rear tail light, and a couple small scratches on door. A couple of tears in headliner towards the back. Everything works excellent mechanically. Replaced battery, alternator, serpentine belt, tensioner pulley, and thermostat. Recent oil, lube, and filter. Recent coolant flush. Clean interior with new floor mats. All electrical components work. All power windows and door locks work. No h2o or oil leaks. Mechanically excellent.

Jill Wagner retired as Mercury spokeswoman

Jill Wagner has officially given up her crown as the queen of Mercury. With the Ford middle child on its way to the scrap heap, Wagner no longer has any automotive hardware to promote. Given her varied talents, we wouldn't be surprised to see her pick up where she left off with another automaker.
And here you thought you'd never be upset about Mercury's passing.

Curtain officially comes down on Mercury as dealers remove signage

The process of shutting down the Mercury is complete. Ford officially made the decision to close its mid-level brand in June of 2010. In the months that followed, Ford offered its dealers money to stop selling the cars, with production shutting down in September. The last Mercury, a Mariner, rolled off the assembly line in the beginning of October and former spokesperson Jill Wagner said her good-byes to both the car and her job. Now the last piece of the brand has come down as dealers are removing any and all Mercury signage from their lots.
