I have a beautiful original 1967 Cougar XR7 for sale. Here is the story: Was with grandma, the 4th documented owner, for the past 7 years. Car was in the garage and rarely driven. With grandmas house sale the Cougar lost its home. The Xr7 has 129k actual miles. I have driven the car 200 miles over the past 2 days, runs drives as it should. Gauges, tach, sequential tail lights, blower motor, wipers, it all works. The air blows, but not cold, the headlight doors open but do not shut unless you do it manually. The car was fun to drive and plenty of thumbs up when I was behind the wheel. The car is an unrestored original. The underside is very good, solid, trunk has the houndstooth mat with the cardboard still there. The car looks good, with a ding and donk here and there, but very presentable. The car has a 289 with a Dan Gurney chrome dress up kit, C 4 trans and dual exhaust. The Cougar starts right up and drives straight and solid. The brakes are non power drums, so they stop the car like non power drum brakes do. This is a really nice original classic. I took a great number of pictures so you can judge yourself. I am selling at no reserve with a very fair starting price. A 500 dollar deposit is due at 48 hours after auctions end. Any and all questions will be answered quickly. Report: Lincoln getting all of Mercury's ad dollars

Now that the curtain has closed on Mercury, Ford Motor Company will redirect all of its marketing dollars for the oft-overlooked brand to the Blue Oval's luxury outpost, Lincoln. In speaking to Automotive News, the chairman of the Lincoln National Dealer Council, Bob Tasca, Jr., said, "You'll see a lot stronger presence in the advertising of Lincoln in 2011."
Lincoln spokesperson Christian Bokich reminded AN that the automaker is "preparing the way for seven new or significantly refreshed vehicles" that will be launched over the next four years, and the largest ad blitz in 2011 will focus on the refreshed MKX crossover, as well as the MKZ sedan and its hybrid counterpart. Following that, Lincoln has plans to launch a completely overhauled version of its Navigator SUV, an all-new C-segment vehicle and the overhauled 2013 MKZ, which Tasca says will be "strikingly different from its Ford Fusion sibling."

eBay Find of the Day: Craterface's '49 Mercury convertible from Grease

Here is your chance to own your very own piece of greased lightning. Well, not the Greased Lighting, it's actually the black, flamed 1949 Mercury convertible that races against John Travolta in the classic 1978 movie Grease, and it's for auction on eBay Motors.
While it appeared in the film's exciting drag race in a Los Angeles storm drain, the hot rod was reportedly lost until last year, when the seller found it as a shell. He verified that it was the actual car with original builder, Eddie Paul, and sent the car for a complete restoration.
The auction includes original parts like the exhaust tips used in the movie and bent bumper from when it hit Travolta's car in the scene. The restorer recreated the scorpion stickers on the doors, razor hubcaps and license plate. He also installed a 1949 Mercury 255-cubic-inch (4.2-liter), flathead V8 and three-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

Jill Wagner has officially given up her crown as the queen of Mercury. With the Ford middle child on its way to the scrap heap, Wagner no longer has any automotive hardware to promote. Given her varied talents, we wouldn't be surprised to see her pick up where she left off with another automaker.
And here you thought you'd never be upset about Mercury's passing.
