1964 Mercury Comet Caliente convertible. It has a 289 motor, automatic transmission, custom exhaust, new interior, paint, top, GT wheels, tires, etc.
This vehicle was restored two years ago. This is not a points car. It is a very nice driver, that was nicely put together. Please feel free to inspect the vehicle prior to purchase. The motor has about 2,000 miles on it, the body is in great condition, no visible flaws. The interior is all brand new as is the top. I am selling this vehicle for my father in law. The vehicle is registered in New Hampshire and will be sold with a bill of sale and the current registration. New Hampshire does not require a title on older cars. This car still needs a few items to make it complete. I have driven the vehicle and it does everything correct. It is missing the trunk lock, the rear quarter windows do not roll up fully, I believe this is because the window gaskets were replaced and need to be adjusted. One window crank is partially stripped. The vehicle has a small power steering leak. |

Report: Lincoln getting all of Mercury's ad dollars
Mon, 03 Jan 2011Now that the curtain has closed on Mercury, Ford Motor Company will redirect all of its marketing dollars for the oft-overlooked brand to the Blue Oval's luxury outpost, Lincoln. In speaking to Automotive News, the chairman of the Lincoln National Dealer Council, Bob Tasca, Jr., said, "You'll see a lot stronger presence in the advertising of Lincoln in 2011."
Lincoln spokesperson Christian Bokich reminded AN that the automaker is "preparing the way for seven new or significantly refreshed vehicles" that will be launched over the next four years, and the largest ad blitz in 2011 will focus on the refreshed MKX crossover, as well as the MKZ sedan and its hybrid counterpart. Following that, Lincoln has plans to launch a completely overhauled version of its Navigator SUV, an all-new C-segment vehicle and the overhauled 2013 MKZ, which Tasca says will be "strikingly different from its Ford Fusion sibling."

It's not been a great couple of weeks for Ford. On October 30, the company announced a 205,000-unit recall, and yesterday, it was revealed that the Ford brand's year-over-year sales were down over 5,000 units while the company itself was down 3,000 units over through October. Now, the company has announced five separate recalls affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue
Mon, 29 Oct 2012A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.
