2006 Mercedes SLK55 AMGAbsolutely beautiful and seldom-found Mars Red over Black with only 21k miles! This is a fantastic opportunity to own a truly remarkable machine. If you haven't experienced the SLK55 from the driver's seat, it's difficult to describe. Certainly this is a 2-seat roadster in the same size-class as the Boxster, S2000, and BMW Z-car, but this car stands alone in the way that it feels. One drive, however, and you see why. As soon as you turn the key and hear the instant snarl from the exhaust, you realize the heart of this roadster is the massive 5.5 liter V8 under the hood, making a pavement pounding 354 horsepower. The other roadsters disappear quickly, both in your mind AND in the rearview mirror. Simply put, this is a luxurious, quality sports car that makes thunderous roars at wide open throttle and creates confusion in the mind of the guy driving the Corvette when he can't keep up. This is the model of "carrying a big stick".

This is a beautiful example with only 21k actual miles, a clean Carfax history, and fresh service. Condition wise, this AMG powerhouse is excellent, the Mars Red finish shines brilliantly, the AMG specific 18" wheels are excellent, and the tires still have ample tread remaining. Inside, the leather interior is excellent as well, everything operates as it should, and there is little if any wear present.
Points to consider: This is no ordinary SLK. The SLK55 is seldom found, since they were produced in much less supply than the standard SLK. To find one is few and far between, to find one with only 21k miles, is even less likely, and to find a 2006 with 21k miles finished in red, well, here it is. TERMS OF DEPOSIT

The successful high bidder will submit a $1000 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of the auction closing to secure the vehicle. Buyer agrees to pay the remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within 5 days of the auction closing. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle. Payment is accepted in U.S. dollars only.

TAXES AND FEES

Different states, cities, and counties tax the purchase of an automobile differently. Your tax on an automobile is always determined by the address you are registering the car to. Mercedes previews sleek concept for CES

It was over two months ago that we spotted a mysterious cloaked prototype said to belong to Mercedes, but we didn't know much about it at the time. And we still don't, but at least the German automaker has given us an idea of what to look forward to. Released on Facebook is this teaser image showing a silhouette of what appears to be that same concept car. The image is accompanied only by these few words: "The future will be bolder than you've ever imagined" and tagged by an accompanying #mbCES - which tells us only that, a) it's futuristic, which we already knew, and b) that it's coming to the CES, set to be held around a week from now in Las Vegas. The sleek one-box design appears to have some sort of appendage atop its roof – just the kind of periscope that might house, say, some cameras Â– leading to speculation that the idea behind this concept would be to showcase autonomous driving technology. We'd also be surprised if it weren't electric powered and Â– given the backdrop for its reveal Â– all the technology Daimler can throw at it. Watch Evo pick its 2015 Car of the Year in this epic video

With just a few days left in 2015, it's the perfect time to check out Evo's annual Car of the Year test to determine the greatest performance vehicle of the last 12 months. The writers' picks for the 11 finalists spanned a breadth of engaging models and included: Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Seat Leon Cupra Sub8, McLaren 675LT, Porsche 991 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Honda Civic Type R, Ferrari 488 GTB, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Lotus Evora 400, and Mercedes-AMG GT S. For the venue to test the mettle of these performance machines, Evo stuck close to home this year and visited the twisting roads at the beautiful north coast of Scotland. Racing brothers Marino and Dario Franchitti also came along for the ride to provide two more voices in the competitive challenge to determine a winner. Evo's video explains why each model deserves to be among such rarified company but doesn't gloss over their faults either. There can be only one winner, though. We don't want to spoil it, so check out the clip for magnificent views of these performance machines through the Scottish countryside.
