MERCEDES 450 SLC - THE ULTIMATE ADVENTURE!!
This Classic Mercedes 450SLC has been there and done that!  As you can see, this is the vehicle
of choice for spy missions, special events, daredevil stunts, competitive motorsports, travel,
satellite communications or just a romantic evening with Agent 006.9.
Everywhere I go ladies are literally taking their clothes off and crawling all over this vehicle.
Forget about keeping the windows clean - I had to remain inside while the cheerleaders at the
carwash scrubbed the roof wearing, clear stiletto heels, bikini bottoms, and soapy wet tank tops.
I dont know if it is the thick muscular throaty V-8, the long lasting performance, the superb handling
or its mature experienced luxurious, and rather calm distinguished demeanor.
Rumor has it, this is the original Hollywood stunt vehicle used during the making of well known action movies starring
John Konnery - a famous british secret service agent.  Options include: heat seeking missles,
ultrasonic doppler rangefinder, laser targeting, heads up display, passenger side ejector seat,  20mm cannons,
retractable landing gear, submarine package, external drop fuel tanks, a high bypass turbofan powerplant,
vertical take off and landing capability, marine outdrive, retractable oxygen masks,
a button which reads "Hazard" and another button which says "Never Push This Button"
The bumpers are long luscious well toned and shapely - they extend all the way to her wheel wells.
She is dripping in polished chrome, has bias ply radials that survive tank mines and the original eleven inch
thick body armor which withstands a direct hit from a Panzer round.
All original manuals are supplied.  Original parachutes and survival kit are also included which contains:
emergency chocolate, a deck of cards, chewing gum, and a pair of nylon stockings.
This vehicle has been hermetically preserved in a temperature controlled cryo-chamber.
It was originally hand fabricated in 1979 everything works, and has 164,104 adrenaline pumping miles.
Includes CD of photo album with additional photos not shown.  Additional photos available: e-mail: gregstir@pacbell.net

Mercedes expected to announce US HQ relocating to Atlanta today

Tue, Jan 6 2015

Employees at Mercedes-Benz's US headquarters in Montvale, NJ, are set to gather today for the annual president's reception. Only this year, company chairman Dr. Dieter Zetsche is expected to fly in from headquarters to make a big announcement. That announcement, according to mounting speculation, is that MBUSA is moving to Atlanta. News of the potential move first broke around three weeks ago, suggesting that the German automaker was looking to relocate its US headquarters from New Jersey to somewhere in the South, with the Atlanta area tipped as the front-runner. Now sources are expecting that announcement to be made imminently. Although the specifics of the move have yet to be made public, Mercedes is tipped to be looking at moving into either a purpose-built facility or an existing office space in the Sandy Springs area, specifically near the intersections of Georgia 400 and Abertnathy, where UPS has its headquarters. The move is said to have hinged on a substantial incentives package worth nearly $50 million put together by the Georgia state government. The state of New Jersey is said to have offered similar incentives to keep Mercedes in the Bergen County borough of Montvale, where it employs 800 in its 141,000-square-foot office complex. One advertising company even put up billboards encouraging the company to stay, but if the reports prove accurate, it looks like their efforts may have been too little and/or too late. Mercedes wouldn't be the first automaker to move to the South, where numerous foreign carmakers have been also setting up factories. Toyota is also preparing to move its US headquarters to Texas, and though already based in Georgia, Porsche is preparing to move into a new $100 million facility, complete with on-site test track, closer to Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport that has grown into a major international hub. The move on Mercedes' part would put its US base of operations closer to its factory in Tuscaloosa, AL, and the port near Savannah, GA, from which it ships out the former's production overseas.

Mercedes GLC spotted nearly nude ahead of tomorrow's reveal

Wed, Jun 17 2015

Mercedes is set to officially take the wraps off its new GLC-Class crossover tomorrow, but if you can't wait that long, here it is all but completely undisguised. The GLC, for those just joining us, is the replacement for the GLK, rounder and renamed to align more closely with the C-Class. It was previewed as a slant-roofed concept in Shanghai, but as you can see, it'll reach production with a more conventional greenhouse. Rooflines (and various show-car details) aside, the production GLC looks pretty close to the aforementioned Concept GLC Coupe. Certain elements on this pre-production unit still remain taped up to keep from our prying eyes – though the engineer driving it doesn't seem to mind. We can at least hope that rather ungainly looking chrome lower rear bumper element is just there to throw us off, or will look more convincing as part of a complete package. But we'll be finding out one way or another tomorrow... so watch this space. Related Video:

Race recap: 2016 Hungarian Grand Prix was the pits

Mon, Jul 25 2016

The Hungarian Grand Prix hasn't seen a race this calculated since 2012, when Lewis Hamilton – driving for McLaren – led from pole position to the checkered flag. We don't expect massive action from the Hungaroring, but Hamilton's first win for Mercedes in 2013, the thrilling wet mess in 2014, and Ferrari's surprising dominance in 2015 made us hope for more on-track commotion this year. Hungary denied us that. Hamilton parked his Mercedes-AMG Petronas in second on the grid but stole the lead through Turn 1 and never looked back. Teammate Nico Rosberg yo-yoed behind him in second place, getting into DRS range on a few occasions but never close enough to pass. Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo kept the leading duo honest, but the Aussie couldn't put genuine fear into the German team and finished third. This is the third year in a row for Ricciardo on the Hungary podium. The pits provided our few scraps of excitement. During a stretch when Ricciardo managed to close on Rosberg, Mercedes told Hamilton to speed up. When Hamilton said he couldn't go faster, Mercedes said they'd pit second-place Rosberg first instead. Suddenly, Hamilton found the extra pace. Ricciardo pitted in early, hoping that fresh tires and fast laps could allow him to pass one or both Mercedes drivers when they pitted, but once Hamilton hit the throttle the Red Bull couldn't respond. Further down the lineup, Jenson Button came in on Lap 5 so McLaren could fix his brake pedal problem. The radio exchange before the stop included one forbidden instruction to Button, though, so the Englishman had to return to the pits for a drive-through penalty. Renault's Jolyon Palmer beat Force India's Nico Hulkenberg in a straight-up pit stop battle on Lap 40, but threw the good work away on Lap 49 with a spin on track that cost him three places. A pit wall miscommunication meant the Force India pit crew wasn't ready for Sergio Perez when the Mexican arrived for his second stop on Lap 43. And Daniel Kvyat's regrettable run at Toro Rosso continued, first with car issues, then a drive-through penalty for speeding in the pit lane. Sebastian Vettel brought his Ferrari home fourth, sniffing Ricciardo's gearbox at the flag but unable to get around the Red Bull. Max Verstappen enacted a replay of the final stages of the Spanish Grand Prix, finishing fifth by holding Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen behind for 19 laps.
