2008 Mercedes R320 CDI 7 passenger 4 Wheel drive Diesel in excellent condition. It has been driven predominately in Florida, has never been in an accident, never been smoked in, and never exposed to salted roads/winter conditions, but with 4matic drive it is ideal for these conditions. It is equipped with the following: Hard to find three person middle row seat (most R class cars only seat 6), Navigation, Sirius satellite, iPhone/aux connector, CD, two rear dvd players, 1 1/4" tow receiver, cruise control, auto head lights, rain sensing wipers, rear A/C with rear control, power seats and windows, heated front seats, power rear hatch, standard sunroof, and two keys. The tires, brakes, and transmission fluid have been changed within the past year. Maintenance is fully up to date and was just serviced by Mercedes with a new serpentine belt, differential and transfer case fluid change, and software update for the CPU. The software update has improved gas mileage to approximately 21 city and 26 highway. The oil was just changed and the air filter and cabin filter were changed four months ago. This is very attractive vehicle that is in excellent condition and drives perfectly and the receiver hitch is very handy for a bike rack or towing a small camper, boat, or jet ski, but has only been used for a bike rack so far. It has 117,401 miles and, being a diesel, should have plenty of life remaining. Asking 19,000.00 dollars or best offer. Please feel free to email or call 7two7- six92-4five05. The title is free and clear. I would be happy to pick up anyone from out of town at the Tampa airport. This trip could also make for a vacation as Busch gardens is 45 minutes away and Orlando is an hour and a half away. Otherwise, please arrange your for own shipping. Thank You.

Elephant with an itch to scratch uses cars for relief
Thu, Jan 15 2015Sometimes in life you, get an itch in a place that you need some help to scratch it. That feeling apparently goes for elephants as well as humans. A pachyderm at the Khao Yai National Park in Thailand recently had some serious comfort in its rump. Unfortunately, the giant animal chose several passing vehicles to alleviate the problem. Things start out rather cute with the elephant rubbing its enormous behind on a Mercedes-Benz. However, another vehicle apparently doesn't provide the same level of relief. The animal seems to grow annoyed and starts taking the sedan apart with at least one person inside. The experience must have been mammothly terrifying. According to BBC News, no one was injured, and the odd behavior is being blamed on a result of the elephant's mating season. Male elephants, as well as other male pachyderms, go through a period called the musth, when testosterone levels rise to several times greater than normal in preparation for the mating season. It makes the elephant aggressive, irritable and yes, itchy.
Mercedes claims naming rights for Atlanta Falcons new stadium
Sun, Aug 23 2015Mercedes-Benz signed a ten-year deal for naming rights to the Louisiana Superdome NFL stadium in 2011. If reports streaming out of Atlanta, Georgia are true, come 2017 Mercedes will have its name on two stadiums in the NFC South Conference because it took up naming rights for the new home being built for the Atlanta Falcons NFL team. The Sports Business Journal reported that the $1.4-billion stadium will open in two years, before the start of the 2017-2018 NFL season. Mercedes transferred its US headquarters from New Jersey to Atlanta earlier this year and is working out of temporary offices; its permanent space is scheduled to be ready around the same time as the stadium. The facility will also be home to the Atlanta United FC Major League Soccer club, and the 2020 NCAA Men's Final Four. If there is a point of common interest between the sports team and the carmaker beyond being really rich neighbors, the facility designed by HOK will be full of technology. The overall shape is inspired by the wings of a falcon, and the eight translucent panels at the top that can open and close in less than eight minutes are inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. The tiered bowl structure inside allows capacity to be expanded up to 83,000 or shrunk with mechanized curtains for MLS games and intimate events, and the five-story tall, 360-degree Halo Board will be the largest video board in the world. Neither Mercedes nor the Falcons organization would comment on the news. An announcement is expected Monday. German companies team up with telecom to spur development of talking cars
Tue, Sep 27 2016With connectivity and communications becoming an ever larger part of the automotive world, German automakers Audi, BMW, and Daimler formed the 5G Automotive Association with Intel, Nokia, Ericsson, Qualcomm, and Huawei. The goal is to develop new technologies to take advantage of LTE and 5G advancements, create standards, and overcome regulatory issues. If they succeed, it will be easier for them companies to develop and implement new technologies. For instance, we could see smarter traffic management, and maybe platooning, advance further in the autonomous sector. By acting as a group, they will also be able to address regulatory issues more easily. All of these companies are capable of developing advanced vehicle communication systems on their own. Audi, in fact, has been pursuing vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) technology and launched a stoplight timer in models in some cities. Still, the alliance offers the potential to save time and develop new ideas.
