2nd owner 2009 Mercedes ML350 4 MATIC fully loaded with tons of upgrades. I bought the car Certified Pre-Owned from Silverstar Mercedes in Long Island City with a 6 year/135,000 mile factory warranty that is fully transferable to a new owner, expiration is in December of 2015. The car has always been garaged, always well maintained (oil changes every 3,000 miles and detailed twice a year), and has never been in an accident. The car is overall in excellent condition and looks great, it gets plenty of head turns. Mechanically the car works and functions perfectly with no problems and I would rate it a 10, actual odometer reading is 50,840 right now. All major servicings have been done and the car has fairly new tires, only about 9,000 miles on them. All new brakes were done at 34,500 mi.
The car's physical condition is great for a car with over 50,000 miles and I would rate it a 7. There are under a dozen very small/minor scratches, most of them around the bumper areas. I tried my best to take close up pictures of the worst ones which you can see on the zoom in. If you are standing more than 5 feet away from the car it looks perfect and they are hard to see...the wax and metallic silver paint glows day and night! Car gets professionally waxed twice a year and washed a few times a month. The car is fully loaded with almost every option you can get, if you dont see it listed here than please ask. I just included the main and most important ones: Silver metallic paint with grey leather, lumbar control, 19" wheels, sunroof, power seats/windows/locks/mirrors, tinted windows, running boards, convenience lights, auto dimming mirrors, chrome trim pkg, heated seats, bluetooth, navigation, backup camera, satallite/SIRIUS radio, 6 CD changer, ipod/iphone/aux connector, 10 way Harmon Kardon Surround sound stereo with subwoofer, chrome window sills. The car enjoys many premium upgrades as follows: Factory wheels have been professionally triple chrome plated, factory lights have been upgraded to bi-xenon headlamps with LED parking lights (this light was featured on the 2011 ML350 European models / S Class face lift), carbon fiber door pillars, chrome hood fins, front windows tinted 35%,mercedes benz factory rubber floor mats, universal black rubber trunk mat No negative or zero feedback buyers. Consumer Reports no longer recommends Honda Civic
Mon, Oct 24 2016Consumer Reports annual Car Reliability Survey is out, and yes, there are some big surprises. First and foremost? The venerable publication no longer recommends the Honda Civic. In fact, aside from the walking-dead CR-Z and limited-release Clarity fuel-cell car, the Civic is the only Honda to miss out on CR's prestigious nod. At the opposite end there's a surprise as well – Toyota and Lexus remain the most reliable brands on the market, but Buick cracked the top three. That's up from seventh last year, and the first time for an American brand to stand on the Consumer Reports podium. Mazda's entire lineup earned Recommended checks as well. Consumer Reports dinged the Civic for its "infuriating" touch-screen radio, lack of driver lumbar adjustability, the limited selection of cars on dealer lots fitted with Honda's popular Sensing system, and the company's decision to offer LaneWatch instead of a full-tilt blind-spot monitoring system. Its score? A lowly 58. The Civic isn't the only surprise drop from CR's Recommended ranks. The Audi A3, Ford F-150, Subaru WRX/STI, and Volkswagen Jetta, GTI, and Passat all lost the Consumer Reports' checkmark. On the flipside, a number of popular vehicles graduated to the Recommended ranks, including the BMW X5, Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, and Cruze, Hyundai Santa Fe, Porsche Macan, and Tesla Model S. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the hilariously recall-prone Ford Escape getting a Recommended check – considering the popularity of Ford's small crossover, this is likely a coup for the brand, as it puts the Escape on a level playing field with the Recommended Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue. While Ford is probably happy to see CR promote the Escape, the list wasn't as kind for every brand. For example, of the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles catalog, the ancient Chrysler 300 was the only car to score a check – there wasn't a single Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, or Ram on the list. That hurts. FCA isn't alone at the low end, either. GMC, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini, and Mitsubishi don't have a vehicle on CR's list between them, while brands like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Nissan, Lincoln, Infiniti, and Cadillac only have a few models each. Next Mercedes-Benz C-Class to get diesel, hybrid versions
Tue, 16 Apr 2013Mercedes-Benz is planning a more aggressive product strategy for its next-generation C-Class range. "We were fighting the 3 Series with two arms tied behind our back, and now we will change that," Steve Cannon, the automaker's US CEO, told Automotive News in a recent interview.
In addition to offering more body styles of the new C-Class, AN reports that the revamped Mercedes will also be offered here with hybrid and diesel powertrains. Currently, the C-Class comes in coupe and sedan variants, with only gasoline engines. The BMW 3 Series, however, is available as a sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon, and offers buyers the choice of gasoline, diesel (the upcoming 328d) or hybrid power.
Mercedes-Benz will show the next-generation C-Class at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, with sales of the US-built sedan following in August. Coupe, convertible and hybrid models will follow in early 2015, and while diesel and all-wheel-drive versions are planned, no specific timetable has been released regarding availability.
Elephant with an itch to scratch uses cars for relief
Thu, Jan 15 2015Sometimes in life you, get an itch in a place that you need some help to scratch it. That feeling apparently goes for elephants as well as humans. A pachyderm at the Khao Yai National Park in Thailand recently had some serious comfort in its rump. Unfortunately, the giant animal chose several passing vehicles to alleviate the problem. Things start out rather cute with the elephant rubbing its enormous behind on a Mercedes-Benz. However, another vehicle apparently doesn't provide the same level of relief. The animal seems to grow annoyed and starts taking the sedan apart with at least one person inside. The experience must have been mammothly terrifying. According to BBC News, no one was injured, and the odd behavior is being blamed on a result of the elephant's mating season. Male elephants, as well as other male pachyderms, go through a period called the musth, when testosterone levels rise to several times greater than normal in preparation for the mating season. It makes the elephant aggressive, irritable and yes, itchy.
