Welcome to a phenomenal opportunity. You are viewing an incredibly attractive and extremely low mileage 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK320 Convertible. This drop-top is sexy, sleek, extra-clean and priced thousands below retail. Certainly the best color combination. Stunning Brilliant Silver exterior over Medium Grey leather interior with complimenting Light Grey canvas power top. This combination is rather hard-to-find. Most came with either the Black top or Ivory leather interior. Making this Triple Silver CLK certainly the most sought after.
There's nothing quite like a clean, highly-polished, glossy Silver sports car, and this CLK is the perfect canvas for that color. This one get looks and stares everywhere--top up, or down, and is an absolute pleasure to drive. Completely power, self-enclosed convertible top, with integrated roll bar and full power options. The rich Light Grey canvas is in outstanding condition and it is even equipped with a rear defroster (for those of you that live in cooler climates). The leather is in excellent condition as well, and the rich wood accents really give this CLK interior a distinguished appearance. What else would you expect from a privately-owned, garaged 44,000 mile pampered vehicle? That's less than 4,000 miles per year folks!
It has had only two careful owners since new, and only one since 2005. Loaded with everything and this CLK convertible runs and drives superbly. I mean, this beauty truly drives like a new car! And with a complete set of brand new premium heat-and-speed rated Continental Touring radials ($780 installed less than 150 miles ago) all the way around, this CLK rides and handles like new as well.
This MB CLK has a great stance and appearance, and the factory wheels are engineered to provide the ultimate performance and handling. The factory aluminum alloy wheels really look great on this car,
This CLK320 has plenty of power from its 268-horsepower 3.2 liter powerplant and gets significantly better mileage than its CLK500 sibling--and don't tell CLK500 owner, but is a much more reliable engine. Purrrs like a kitten.....but roars like a Lion when you hit the gas pedal. The 7-speed electronically-controlled automatic transmission really provides effortless Interstate cruising and excellent fuel economy. Everything works perfectly and properly, and this Mercedes was serviced by the pro's at the Mercedes dealership, not Joe from Joe's Garage (no offense Joe).
It had an original price tag of $54,350 in 2003 and had the added comfort and convenience package (a $1,930 option). BOSE high-power audio system, dual power seating (with 3-position Memory), Independent Climate Control and HID-High-intensity headlights, along with all the standard MB features, this one is decked out. It even has the rear wind/sunshade.
We have this gorgeous, low mileage Cabriolet priced incredibly for a fast sale. Only the most careful owner, Florida--owned and driven, and properly maintained, this one is the one you have been searching long and hard for. All she needs is a new home. No disappointments here. Extra-clean interior, excellent leather and a pleasure to drive. This car has never been smoked in. Imagine all the fun you will have with this sexy convertible, while still driving one of the safest vehicles on the road. If you hit the Buy-It-Now, we will assist with transport within the Continental US, and of course, free airport pick-up is available from Jacksonville International Airport. This CLK has Keyless remote entry, as well as factory security system to go along with the  BOSE/Harman Kardon high-power audio system. We list our vehicles to sell, and many sell with just a simple phone call to our sales associate. The latest April 2014 NADA Used Car Guide shows the retail value of this automobile to be over $14,175...and certainly much more at your friendly neighborhood MB dealership. We have it priced for an immediate sale to one savvy MB buyer who realizes a great value. Don't miss out on this one. Priced the lowest in the country for a vehicle with these incredibly low miles and thousands below retail. While AutoCheck rates most CLK's available for sale between the range of 75-86, ours was rated an Ultra-impressive 88! How's that for peace of mind! And of course, we have the clean Florida title in-house, so there are absolutely no title problems or liens of any kind. Please feel free to call or e-mail us and enjoy a wonderful buying experience. Please call 561.283.9511 and ask for Steve. He'll be happy to tell you all about this attractive, Triple Silver CLK as well as provide a complete walk around the vehicle. It is our pleasure to serve you. We do charge a nominal $299 dealer fee to every sale. One lucky person is going to get a great car. Don't make the mistake of letting this rare opportunity pass you by. Good Luck to everyone bidding. Bid with confidence and Bid to win!

Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo concept shows us our lazy future

Wed, Oct 28 2015

The first autonomous vehicles to hit the road will likely look much the same as the ones we drive currently. But as self-driving technology evolves, so too will the shape of the vehicles themselves. And this is what Mercedes figures that future could look like. The Vision Tokyo concept, so named for the show now ongoing at which it's been unveiled this morning, is an odd yet forward-looking shape, rendered in Alubeam silver and glowing blue. Power comes from a hybrid hydrogen fuel cell and inductive electric charging system that give it a theoretical zero-emissions range of over 600 miles. One look at the lozenge-like shape should tell you that the design is all about the interior space. The driving station – should it be needed – offers a clean dashboard with HUD-only instruments and a central driving position with unobstructed view through the wraparound windscreen. The cabin is clearly focused, however, on the lounging occupants more than on the driver. Accessed via a single, giant gullwing hangar door, the approach is closer to that of a mobile lounge space than a traditional automotive interior, with a wraparound sofa, some manner of high-tech 3D game projected in the middle, and a wide infotainment screen on the inside of the door. The concept clearly foretells of a different future – one that demands less of the driver and offers more relaxed comfort. So while the driver within us grows concerned at his numbered days, the rest can't help but be strangely intrigued. Scope out the live images from the floor of the Tokyo Motor Show and share your thoughts on the concept in the Comments section below.

2015 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe

Mon, Mar 23 2015

For Mercedes-Benz to truly demonstrate the capabilities and sensations of the S65 AMG Coupe, it needs to commission the building of a highway halfway to the moon. That's right, a ribbon of Autobahn roughly 120,000 miles long, with 50,000 miles of twisties and sweepers. Let's even add some loop-de-loops though the ionosphere, since, you know, we're going all the way with this. We've been following the headlines about progress on a new lunar lander and the SpaceX Mars Colonial Transporter, but we recently discovered that we've already got both of them in the S65 AMG Coupe. This isn't a car, it's a rocket ship. And it's not perfect, but it is spectacular. Starting with the way it looks. When Mercedes unveiled the concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, I wasn't impressed. In fact, I told the Mercedes PR person, "It's fine, but the rear end doesn't do anything for me." And today? I'll have the crow, please, with lots of ketchup. When the test car you see here arrived, my loins tumbled and my knees developed a slight tremble. By the following week I was posing thought experiments like, "What's hotter: me in this car, or nothing else ever?" It's big – just eight inches shorter than the S-Class sedan and only an inch narrower. It's an inch longer than the Porsche Panamera and four inches wider, but just 0.3-inches taller than that slinking sport sedan. Its size and segment seem to have freed the designers' pens, and we think it's the best and most unapologetic expression of the brand's current language. We'd normally vote "nay" to a face full of chrome, but the coupe has the width to spread the polished elements around, and the top-to-bottom three-dimensionality indeed earns the adjective "jewel-like." A button on the center console lifts the entire car to protect those jewels when needed. The profile doesn't give up on the rising, sculpted wedge we've known for years – the one we used to love on the SL-Class. And again, the 16.6-foot expanse of sheet metal gives those opposing swage lines an unhurried opportunity to carve the body. The sidelong swell is enhanced by the carbon-fiber rocker panel laid into the concavity along the bottom, as well as those hips over the rear wheels. Speaking of which, the polished, 20-inch forged rollers are spot on. The bluff backside is sculpted just enough to keep it interesting, from the decklid spoiler to the horizontals across the bumper and carbon diffuser. Mostly, though, it seems to say to anyone behind, "Please.

McLaren, Red Bull and Ferrari call for unfreezing F1 engines

Mon, Dec 29 2014

Formula One is a hugely expensive sport. Not only do you have enormous salaries and logistical expenses, as you would in any other sport, but each team also spends huge sums developing their own chassis from the ground up – and so too do the participating automakers in developing the engines. One of the ways the series organizers mitigate those costs is by freezing development. So once the new crop of V6 turbo hybrid powertrains were developed, that was it. But now three of the of the sport's leading teams are calling on the FIA to unfreeze engine development. Their reason? Unfair advantage. There's little question that Mercedes did the best job of developing its "power unit" to meet the new regulations that took effect at the beginning of this past season. That's how the Mercedes team won all but three of the grands prix this season and finished with at least one car on the podium at every single race. It's also a big part of how the teams that bought their engines from Mercedes this season managed to consistently outperform the other non-works-supported teams. That clear advantage is why Red Bull, Ferrari and now McLaren are calling for engine development to be unfrozen. Their argument is that, under the current locked-down status quo, their engine suppliers (Renault, Ferrari and Honda, respectively) cannot possibly catch up. So unless the FIA and Formula One Management want the next few seasons to be the kind of absolute blow-outs that this past season was, these leading teams argue, the powers that be are going to have to make some changes. For its part, Mercedes naturally counters that unfreezing engine development would send costs spiraling out of control. But then of course it stands to lose the most by re-opening engine development. If those three teams, however, closely intertwined as they are with the three other engine suppliers participating in next year's championship, manage to solicit enough support from the other customer teams and bring the matter to a vote, Mercedes may very well find itself out-numbered.
